i feel like going on a rant

why are schools genuinely so shitty? and i dont mean "oh i hate doing schoolwork i hate having to go to school", i hate the people im surrounded with and the fact that nothing is ever seen as "important enough" to have something done about it at my school. my school didnt care about people being bullied until me and others i know threatened suicide. my school literally did not do anything to stop bullying and punish the people who are constantly harassing me and the people i know until a life was at stake. and do you wanna know why that is? because my school doesnt wanna be blamed for yet another kid committing. they always say "if your getting bullied just go tell an adult and it will be handled" i did. so many times. ive had so many meetings with the people in the office and so many meetings with a school counselor or a therapist and yknow what they always say? wanna know what ive been told the dozens of times ive been there?? "just ignore it." just ignore it. the phrase ive been told more times i can count. schools are too lazy to actually do anything to protect their students and stop literal children from getting assaulted so all they do is tell everyone to just brush it off and ignore it. the only time someone at the school didnt tell me to just ignore it was when i was about to end my own life, this had gone on for so long i was genuinely debating taking my own life at 14. and the school still hasnt done anything serious about it, and i doubt they ever will, because nobody ever does. ive spent so many years "just ignoring it" so whats the point of even telling anyone about it anymore? whats the point of even going to school anymore? oh but the moment i miss a few classes because i dont want to get constantly ridiculed and have something thrown at me again all of a sudden its all my fault. "go to class, the teachers will know if something happens" they say, as i go to class and get laughed at and pointed at and yelled at and get stuff thrown at me for just sitting down. for just going to class. for just existing. nobody at school cares. especially not teachers and faculty and staff and all that shit. nothing is done. all me and all the other "weird" kids can do is sit by and wait for graduation as another day of getting borderline assaulted passes.

TLDR, schools like to pretend to care about you, but they dont. not unless someone almost dies, or even worse, does.
