nobody “writes like ai” as long as they write, then they write. period. there’s no “writing like ai”. because by saying someone “writes like ai”, you’re implying that ai actually writes and that ai is the blueprint. but what ai does is mimic human-made works.
ai writes (aka they’re mimicking) like humans. not the other way around.
saying “this writer writes like ai” is the equivalent of saying “your work looks like those other works that copied yours”
about 90% of fanfiction takes place in a utopia where men are thoughtful and unsure of their place in the world
Please let Yamato get hurt in 13+ and Takeru absolutely lose it at that sight
PLEASE LET YAMATO GET HURT IN FRONT OF TAKERU PLEEEEAAASSEEE

(FIRST EVER) PUPPY PACK WEEK EVENT!! 🎉🐺🐶
(June 1st - June 7th 2026) please use the tag #puppypackweek and pin me at @puppypackweek when you post!
Hello!!! I'm so excited to host the first ever Puppy Pack Week. First off, all the prompts are suggestions so they can be mixed, matched, and ignored if you have other ideas that might not fit the theme. Also, I know Puppy Pack is a vague term (usually refers to Liam, Mason, Hayden, Corey, Alec,...) but I'm not the puppy pack police. Add Theo, add Nolan, add an OC, add whoever you want! Add dead characters (Tracy, Brett, Josh, Lori, Violet,...), I'm all for it! Hey, if you decide that Malia had to redo a grade and is now chilling w the puppy pack and is a part of them, heck yeah, love that too! But if one of you tries to make me believe Scott or Stiles is in the puppy pack, you're getting the stare.
Prompts and a few rules under here ↓
Love teen wolf's approach to werewolf mythology just being everything is true don't question it. Lycan was probably real and hanging with celtic druids, so was the beast of gevaudan, you need to bitten by an alpha to be turned but you can also drink rain water out of a wolf's print, also its hereditary, there is a guilt based eye color system, you need to kill an alpha (or inherent after their death) to become an alpha except sometimes the universe decides someone is a good enough person that they should just get to be one anyway, sometimes getting turned by a werewolf will turn you into a completely different creature because "who you are represents the form you take" but there is no formula for this, werewolves can look like humans with glowing eyes and fangs and they can look like actual wolves, and they can look like large monstrous beasts, the full moon can kinda do whatever we need it to, calling a werewolves christian name will cure them but not of werewolfisim just of evil mind control transformations, etc.
EXCEPT for silver bullets. Thats a mistranslation, the silver family kills werewolves. However silver does inexplicably kill oni
i thought whether you'd look like humans with fangs and glowing eyes, actual wolves, or monstrous large beings was governed by the the same "who you are represents your form" rule. i thought the more human you are (kill less people, on the good side, kind) the more like a human you'd look and the more you lost your humanity, the further you moved from that. at first it made absolute sense to me, because scott and derek and isaac all looked like humans while peter looked like a monster only back when he'd lost his mind completely in the first season, and as he got better eventually he also started looking more like a human.
also determination of how good, innocent or guilty you are, might work the same way as the eye system. i thought theo not looking like a monster, and being able to look like a human or a wolf at will worked the same way it worked with his eyes, he had control over his feelings and how he perceived himself and how much he justified what he did in his head.
like how peter knew he was a monster (it wasn't that he thought he was justified the way theo did) and thought there was no point in not killing innocents if it made you powerless. during the time he looked like a complete monster, he even killed his own cousin and was very much aware of the fact. in short yes, the same way the eye system worked.
and yeah they DO get worse the more they lose control over their humanity and human thoughts (transforming starts with your eyes and fangs and you only slowly grow hair on your face and stuff when you start losing control and become more animalistic). maybe derek evolving also had something to do with him gaining control over how he felt better. i don't know. plus i don't know how it worked for malia. yeah by season 5 it stopped making complete sense to me too so i'm not really sure if it's true.
Sending love to anyone who is just… tired.
Not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, socially, financially.
Life is asking a lot right now.
Pause when you can. Breathe when you remember.
Give yourself space. Give yourself grace.
Not people saying “Fandom has always been like this” in that vent post I made. No. It hasn’t always been like this. Fandom has NEVER been like this until recently and if you were in fandom pre-tumblr purge, pre-twitter, pre-netflix boom, pre-tiktok….then you would fucking know it was nothing like this.
We still had the drive to create. We still sold prints and charms and made zines…but it was never like this.
The introduction of streaming, binge shows that drop all at once, tiktok and vine RIP i still love u vine but you were the beginning of a particularly ugly era) creating this bite sized, quick paced ‘content’ era of creation and it bled out into fucking everything else.
Fandoms didn’t die down when the show ended or the season was over. You didn’t mass unfollow artist, writers or moots just because they changed fandoms. There wasn’t this need to please the algorithm in order for your posts to get seen by people and enjoyed.
Fandoms used to last YEARS. Star Trek is literally the oldest running fandom out there and you got people in there that could care less about the new stuff and still have been happily prancing through their fucking fifty year old fandom today. Hell, even SPN after all it’s fuckups and shitshows has a dedicated fanbase STILL creating tons of art and fic.
There is no patience anymore. No calm feeling of taking in fandom and friends at a pace that which doesn’t make you stressed and is still fun.
Do I blame fandom for this? Of course not, but people are complacent with it and start changing their vocab to accommodate and end up making the situation so deep it cant be fixed.
We call Art & Fic Content now, completely stripping the value of what it is to a level of consumerism instead of personal entertainment & community bonding.
Let OP talk, they’re absolutely right.
It really is crazy how fast people burn through things now. I saw people saying the Arcane fandom was dead only a few *weeks* after the last episode aired. Imagine being a fic writer working on a big fic for the show and seeing that. Or an artist working on a fan comic. Like, c’mon, people.
I from the bottom of my heart wish the absolute worst for people who go around accusing writers of using ai with their only proof being 'I put it in a ai detector'
Because you guys seemed to have forgotten that ai is the one copying humans,
Now days according to people online, you can't use em dashes, hyphens, commas, dots, italics, quotation marks.
According to them, dividing your paragraphs, also not dividing your paragraphs is a sign of ai.
Capitalizing your 'i', not capitalizing 'i',
not going into much details while writing but also going into too much details when writing,
high word counts but also low wordcounts,
if you post all your chapters in one day, apparently it's all ai but if you take time to post your chapters your also ai.
If you make spelling mistakes, you're ai and if you don't, you're ai too
If you use words that are above third grade reading level, you are ai but if you don't, you're ai too
So what do you want writers to do ? I thought that we are supposed to encourage human creativity, not suppress it when it looks a little different.
If you are a part of this crowd, that goes witch hunting, I genuinely wish you experience the worst things and hope that your favorite author blocks you!
REMEMBER, AI USES HUMAN WORK TO STUDY, NOT THE OTHER WAY SO THINK BEFORE YOU THROW BASELESS ACCUSATIONS AND PUSH PEOPLE AWAY FROM WRITING ALL TOGETHER
I realized something about the differences in how Digimon Adventure and 02 depict the Chosen Children struggling with their Crests. In the former the kids struggle because of trauma, something drastic happened either in the past or during the show that causes them to question themselves and their virtue(Like Sora and the soccer incident or Taichi in the Etemon arc) Meanwhile in the latter, the kids struggle because it either doesn't come naturally to them or it was a behavior that was discouraged by the people around them(the best example of the latter is Iori who struggled with the nuances of Honesty because of his whole family situation) Unsurprisingly, as the rhetorical middle child between both groups, Ken struggles with both. He shut away his gentle heart because of the trauma from Osamu's death and his ability to empathize with others was further degraded by being surrounded by starstruck opportunists(in more ways than one)
Which is, of course, because the Crests are intrinsic virtues that these children possess, but which have been muddied by the complexities of growing up and the life experiences they've had since they were first scanned as babychildren.
While the Digimentals are a mechanism of mentorship, using the examples of the Crest-bearers to inspire and mold those who followed in their footsteps. So they're treated not as intrinsic values but as aspirations to pursue.
Ken straddles the line because he has no Digimental. His is a Crest. But it's a Crest that's long been lost to him to the point that it must briefly become a Digimental for Daisuke, wielding Ken's own intrinsic virtues against him to bring him back to his senses.
Thus setting Ken on the journey of reconnecting with his Crest, functionally acting as a metaphorical Digimental for himself.
There's a lot that's really interesting about the distinction between the Crests and Digimentals, and the way the shows utilize them both.
Me when someone asks me why I know a very specific fact but I can't say because I learned it in a (thiam) fanfic:
Draco Naming Their Kids
Harry: How about...James Sirius?
Draco: Your dad and your uncle?
Harry: Yeah.
Draco: That's sweet, yeah.
Harry: What about...Lily Luna?
Draco: I kind of like the way it flows, honestly.
Harry: I know, what about Albus Severus--
Draco: *smacks Harry upside the head*
Draco: Are you out of your damn mind?
Draco: One man raised you to die and the other one bullied you for seven years.
Draco: He creeped on your mom.
Draco: He stepped over her husband, ignored her crying son, and held her body when she never wanted anything to do with him in life.
Draco: He never heard of shampoo or conditioner.
Harry: But he--
Draco: *smacks him upside the head again*
Draco: His name is Remus Arthur Potter.
Draco: We're naming him after the two men who actually cared for you like a son, not a pawn.
Draco: You idiot.
Harry:
Harry:
Harry: Okay.
James in Heaven: Okay, I change my mind, I like him.
Y'all ever noticed how its "these characters may be fictional but don't bash them cuz there are irl people going through this"
But at the same time "these characters are fictional them getting raped brutally and marrying their abuser/ going to lunch with their abuser is fine its not real get over it you snowflakes"
Sigh.
In Adventure 02 Episode 44, Ken Ichijouji is kidnapped in a truck that's right-hand drive. His friends are chasing after him in a car that's left-hand drive. Is it true that a LHD vehicle in Japan is considered to be a major status symbol with a high resale value?
Sort of, but not really. For it to be a left-hand drive vehicle, it would almost certainly have to be an imported car, and it is true that "foreign car = you're rich and have status" used to be a stereotype, but nowadays people will get it because they wanted to invest in a specific model of foreign car for some reason (maybe they were dissatisfied with domestic Japanese-produced ones, and the only models they liked were left-hand). A lot of people will also outright avoid it because of how inconvenient it is to drive in Japan's road system, which isn't compatible with it at all, and it's also much more difficult to keep it maintained in those circumstances.
Of course, that doesn't mean having a left-hand drive car doesn't come with some kind of money and status at all, because buying and maintaining an imported car is expensive, but since the Kido family is a prominent and esteemed family of doctors, it's reasonable to think they'd be able to afford it and would be willing to put up with the trouble if they consider the car to be important enough, especially since Shuu seems to be a traveling scholar. It's a family that tends to be picky and low-compromise, so this probably falls in that category.
Incidentally, Kyoko from Cyber Sleuth also has an imported car (well, putting the other considerations about its, uh, nature aside). While it's not mutually exclusive, I think the modern association with it is probably less "rich and elite" and more "hipster and unique".
Spoilers??? Please??? (The Underworld Chronicles)
I don't know if this is okay but can someone tell me spoilers of the new generation of UC, please? Like I read Seven's book and part of Hadrian's, but it was getting repetitive in the worst way possible...
I really love the UC and Hadifer (please, someone tell me if they are still together because in the first two books Luci was no where to be found...) and their children and all of their stories. The grandchildren are too much for me and the plot of each book are just very similar if not more violent in an unnecessary way... up until Luci's (book 24) book it was mostly bearable because I loved the characters and I needed to know what happened... but now I'm too busy and not that interested in the grandchildren...
So I plea for someone to tell me what is going on with Hades, Lucifer and their children and all of the characters we love so much from books 1-24.
My favorite characters are: Hades, Cain, Theo, Lucifer, and Charon.
