been meaning to draw them as this peanuts comic for a minute now. i asked my friend rocky he said 🎵❗️
imagine Rocky getting jealous of other Eridians because apparently their carapaces have really pretty colors and patterns so to Grace he’s always like “remember when I saved your life. remember when I gave you enough astrophage to go home. remember all the times i watched you sleep. remember. do you remember Grace.”
i don't see anyone talking about how Rocky had to go back to Erid and tell everyone his 22 other shipmates had passed. why not. also why is no one talking about how earth had to find out through Grace's recordings that Yao Li-Jie and Olesya Ilyukhina both passed before being able to complete their missions. do you think their families and friends were upset at the mission commanders for sending them without a higher rate of survival. not survival back to earth, but at least to complete the mission. they all already had to grieve that they'd never get them back, but to learn that they weren't even able to complete the mission they were sent for? how heartbreaking do you think that was. for the eridians and the humans alike. I imagine the eridians being more forgiving, because they had no way of knowing what could've happened, and they also expected Rocky and them to make it back, so it's just, in simple terms, one grievance. the friends and families of the Hail Mary already grieved the crew because they knew they were sacrificing themselves for the betterment and safety of humanity. but then they had to grieve that loss again because they no longer had a 'reason' for their deaths. what if. why doesn't anyone talk about that.
for the good of all mankind
A few more decades
tumblr glitched and now there’s just a guy in the void
Wile E. Coyote, two milliseconds before he lights a match only to reveal he's surrounded by flammable traps he himself has set and the whole website explodes
sonce the sports are happening big rn where i live i made a handy chart of all the phrases i use to communicate with my loved ones during these trying times. i thought others might find it useful too
ive discovered you can have whole conversations with people using just these phrases and none will be any the wiser that you dont even know what sport it is theyre talking about
I just ate one
You can lie when you name things
idk why people are still trying to do "hear me out"s on tumblr
you could talk about wanting to fuck the space needle on here and people would still call you a poser for insisting on fucking "conventionally attractive architecture" as if that's a coherent, easily-recognizable category
I want to fuck Antoni Gaudi's unbuilt Hotel Attraction skyscraper design
"hear me out" and it's a picture of the most fuckable building you've ever seen. c'mon now.
“hear me out” and it’s the fucking dildopolis
same bro
time to break this out again
I remember when I was younger, anytime I watched a movie where the characters have to kill a scary monster/alien, I always thought the act of killing it was intended to be part of the horror. Like there’s this amazing creature that we’ve never seen before, and maybe under different circumstances we could’ve coexisted with it, but it’s trying to attack you and you have to defend yourself, but by destroying it you also destroy the ability to ever understand it and that’s sad and is supposed to make you feel conflicted.
It was not until well into my adulthood that I realized most people do not have complicated feelings about movies where people have to kill a scary alien monster, nor is that necessarily meant to be part of the narrative (unless it very obviously is). They just want the scary thing to die because it’s scary. I don’t have a real conclusion to this I just started thinking about it for some reason.
why does his son have to be good at posting
