sistertrilla:
it was clear that the first order was intended to replicate the empire, even if it did not seem to have the same strength as the empire that she had served – there was so much defiance in the galaxy, the fact that coruscant could order a ceasefire and have it actually work… it only spoke of the weakness. still, even if it had been strong, trilla suspected the seeds of doubt would still be in her mind. she no longer felt as though she belonged strictly to the empire or the first order, even if she would never be able to call a place as light as the resistance her home. she was something else. it makes the idea of something else easily a tempting offer to take, but skepticism still stalls any kind of eagerness that they might have had to belong somewhere new. “i will be choosing my own future regardless,” she pointed out with a slight cant of her head. “and what exactly do you intend on doing with the current factions? the first order nor the resistance will give way so easily. they might both find reason to crush… this together.”
such a predictable response. the girl is clearly clever, intelligent and more than aware of what’s going on, but the defiance seems to be such a kneejerk reaction rix expected to see it at some point, from what his research has told him, what he can sense from her. still, it’s certainly something he can work with. “of course. and if you so choose that your future doesn’t lie in working with me, we part ways as... acquaintances. nothing more.” he assures her easily. he has no interest in fighting with people purely because they didn’t want to work with him. letting out a soft laugh, rix can’t help but smile in amusement at the question. “the first order and the resistance have flaws, fatal flaws that they don’t even seem to notice. look at the current situation - both have bowed to a ceasefire ordered by data-pushing politicians on this planet. and neither ends are even aware of the movements being made, how would they even know to search for anything to crush?”
