Who’s that pokemon?
Decided to try the Blossom woobles with crochet thread. She tiny!!
Haven’t posted in a bit, but I made a trans pride scarf for my nibling. I hope they like it.
Crocheting is just so underappreciated and people have absolutely no idea the work that goes into it.
Reddit comment thread when I posted a picture of a bunch of different pokemon crochets and someone wanted to buy some:
This wasn't even for something really simple like an Oddish that's basically a ball and leaves. It was like Tentacruel Cloyster Abra Kingler and more... $10 for two. Max $20 for one. And they weren't even rude or mean about it, people just straight up have no idea the value.
This is precisely why I don’t sell what I crochet. I know I don’t post here much anymore, but I still crochet all the time. Every time anyone sees me crocheting in public, they either ask if I sell my work or suggest that I could as if I didn’t hear that a million times.
But like OP said… they just don’t know how much work goes into any crocheted piece. Even if you’re working off of a pattern, it still takes a lot of skill and effort to crochet anything. And I’m pretty sure OP makes their own patterns for their pokemon crochet… which is even MORE effort and creativity because you need to be able to visualize how to work the stitches into a specific shape… which is what I had to do for my fairy dolls and all their clothes.
Something like that is easily worth more than $100 at minimum. (Not even factoring in material costs with that) But no one realizes that. So yeah… $10 for 2 of your Pokémon OP? That probably didn’t even cover materials.
Now a days, my husband is usually around to answer for me, because he’s not afraid to tell someone who doesn’t know any better that selling intricate crochet pieces just wouldn’t be cost effective for what people are willing to pay.
It may not be crochet, but this is a project I’m extremely proud of. These are needlepoint Christmas stockings I made this year for my fiancé and future stepchild. I made them to match the stockings my mother made for me and my child YEARS ago. It took about 8 months to make both stockings (conceptualization, drawing, painting the canvas, needlepointing and assembling the stockings.) Their names are stitched into the top, but are censored per their wishes.
Happy Holidays!

My dear friend, and fellow disney fairy fan invited me to stay with her for a few days. As a surprise, I crocheted her fairysona Paws!
She is an animal fairy who wears Tinker colors because she is Tied to a Tinker fairy.
I had an opportunity to have both my originals and replicas in one spot, so a photo was necessary.

So you want to make something with scales too? Well you're in the right place!
