"I know! I’m afraid I’m like, never going to see you again or something." she teased. "No no no grumpy faces!" she giggled, leaning into the counter. "It’s because I’m so great, right? And you can’t help but wanna impress me with them." she teased. "I do! Come on." Anne shook her head. "Robbie! You can’t, I feel bad, you deserve the money."
Robbie shook his head. "We can't let that happen no matter what. Maybe you just need to take a break from work." he smirked at the idea, knowing she wouldn't be able to handle not working for long. "You being great definitely has something to do with it." he agreed. "I don't think running a coffee shop is really in the cards for me." he shrugged. Rob shook his head again, "You're cute." he chuckled. "The money doesn't even directly go to me. I get paid by the hour, not by how much I sell." he told her. "Please, let me make you something. Or maybe you want a dessert?"
"Thank you." She took a sip of her coffee and looked at Robbie."Oh, I did an interview with a band today, I must now write the article for the magazine that I work for. The deadline is tomorrow, I’m a little bit late." She chuckled, taking an other sip.
Robbie raised his eyebrow. "You work for a magazine?" he asked. "That's really cool. What sort of music did the band play?" he asked, curiously. "I wish you luck on getting it done in time."
"I let it happen, you know? I responded to it. Whatever." he gulped, sighing softly. "It’s just, like, I don’t know. I feel so conflicted, you know Robbie? You love someone but you think, if I invest more into this, am I going to get anything out of it?" he hummed for a moment. "I want some rest, please." he checked his phone. "Can’t go anyway, she wants to talk."
Robbie furrowed his eyebrows, "Why did you let it happen?" he asked, curiously, not being able to hold in the question any longer. "Are you even interested in Harrison?" he wondered. Robbie nodded, understanding what he meant. "Do you even know what you wanted out of your relationship with Bonnie? Were you looking for a bigger form of commitment or something?" he raised his eyebrow, surprised at the idea of Levi committing to someone in such a serious way. Rob gave a nod, "Maybe I should leave you alone then. Let you get the sleep you need."
Colin took out his wallet and handed him a five. “Just keep the change.” He said, distracted by the coffee cups on the side of the counter, looking at them. He nodded and smiled politely, “Thank you.”
Robbie took the cash. "Alright, thanks." he gave a nod before looking putting the money in the resister and putting the extra tip money in the tip jar. "You like the coffee mugs?" he asked, sparking the conversation. It was always important to be personal with the customers. "They are pretty cool. Although my favorite is the simple 'I love New York' one." he told him as he turned around to start making the man's coffee.
Anne wrapped her arms around Robbie tightly, rocking him a bit out of pure excitement to finally be in the same room as him. When he pulled away, she moved some hair out of her face. “I know! It’s been too long, in my book.” she grinned, patting his cheek. “Put those dimples away, Hudson.” she teased. “I’m fine, you know I always am. How are you, Mister Manager?” she questioned. “You’ll be running this place in no time!”
"We really need to start planning weekly meet up or something. You're always too busy for me." Robbie stated. After she patted his cheeks, he made a grumpy face. "Would you rather this?" he joked before smiling again. "My dimples always make an appearance when you're around." Rob told her, since he knew he normally smiles around her. "I'm alright. Works been good and everything." he shrugged. "Running it? I don't know about that." he shook his head. "Anyways, let me make you a hot chocolate, on the house."
The young business executive walked into the coffee shop with a smile plastered across his face. He said hello to the people he recognize before heading to the counter. His head went back when he heard the man’s voice. “Robbie, right?” Henrik smile grew bigger as he recall their brief encounter a couple of months ago. The man still held the title for the most endearing personality. “How are you doing, mate? I didn’t know you worked here.” He laughed. How was he even supposed to know such thing? “I would take a latte and a scone – if you don’t mind.”
Robbie nodded. "Hey, I'm surprised you remembered my name." he replied. "Unfortunately, I'm much better with faces than I am names. I'm pretty sure it was an uncommon one, though. Maybe it started with an H or a J..." he raised his eyebrow, wondering if he was anywhere near close to the right answer. "I'm doing good, how about you?" Robbie asked. "Yeah, I've been working here practically since I got to New York City." he told the man. Robbie nodded at the order. "Alright." he said simply. "Is that going to be for here or to go?"
"As usual, a large coffee two milk, two sugar. Please." Rosalia smiled and took a seat. She took out a notebook of her bag and began to read it.."Finally, I will take a extra large."
Robbie nodded. "Of course, the usual." he replied. He turned around and began making the coffee. Once he finished, he brought it to her, setting it on the table. "What's that?" he asked curiously, glancing at her notebook.
‘’An Irish whiskey and good company,’’ Harrison replied, loosening his tie as he sat at the nearest table. It’s only at the end of his sentence that he noticed who was the man talking to him. Levi’s friend, great. ‘’Robert – What are you doing here?’’ He asked with a small smile; the idea of him actually _working_ there was apparently not an option.
Robbie raised his eyebrow at Harrison. He was never too sure about his feelings for the male but now that he got in between Levi's relationship with Bonnie, he definitely wasn't a fan. It wasn't that Robbie really liked their relationship, it was mostly because it hurt his friend. "I work here." he replied, keeping a professional and positive attitude. "That'll be right up." he nodded.
"Uh, sure." Looking up at the menu, she began to think about the sizes of the drinks and how much it would cost her. After a couple of seconds, she soon made up her mind. "Medium."
"You got it!" he smirked before pulling out a medium coffee cup. Robbie keyed it into the register. "Is there anything else you would like? If not, that's going to be 2.25." he let the woman know.
Pushing the door open, Avery sighed with relief as she walked into a warm area. No matter how long she lived in New York, she could never get use to the cold. Pulling her hands out of her pockets, she breathed on them, trying to work them up. “Coffee.” Was all that she said as she made her way to the counter.
Robbie nodded at the female. "Alright, well do you want any sugar or creme?" he asked as he made his way to the register. "Also, what size would you like?"
Anne was grinning from ear to ear as she stepped into the shop, buzzing over the fact that she’d get to see Robbie. “You!” she grinned, rubbing her hands together. “It’s been weeks, get over here and hug me, silly!” she giggled, noting that there weren’t many people in the store, so she didn’t feel bad about demanding a hug.
Robbie smile grew even bigger as he noticed how excited she was to see him. He missed Anne and he hadn't seen her much either in the past few weeks. Rob glanced down to make sure his shirt didn't have any coffee stains on it. Once he knew he was good, he walked out from the counter and gave her a big hug. "Anne, I haven't seen you in so long." he stated before pulling away just enough so he could see her face. "How have you been? Are you doing well?"
Colin had just gotten back from the gym and could use a little shot of energy since he still had work to do. He walked into the shop and to the counter. “Hi, may I have a large black coffee please?” He asked and smiled.
Robbie nodded at the man. "Of course." he said as he entered it in the register. "That'll be 2.25." he told him. He took the money before telling him, "That'll be ready in a minute or so. If you want to take I seat, I'll bring it to you."
It had been a pretty busy day at the coffee shop today but things were finally starting to die down. Since business was suddenly slow, Robbie began to clean up when he saw a familiar face walking up to the counter. Robbie smirked, "Hey, What can I get you?" he asked.
True. I do tend to overthink and worry about small things but at the same time — it’s very handy in my line of work. Yeah I can imagine especially considering where you work. Plus, what and who isn’t attracted to you — right? [giggles] Have you been? Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Should I be concerned for you?
Yeah, it's probably a good thing that you have an eye for detail. But there are times when you shouldn't overthink. The people that I recently hired spill things far too often. [chuckles] Good point. Many things are attracted to me, I know. It's not a bad thing. I mean, it's stressful sometimes but I'm making money and that's all that really matters, right?
Yeah, I realised that as soon as those words escaped my mouth. I really do hope that I didn’t. Hmmm? Hey— take that back I am not clumsy! Coffee is just very attracted to me… in a wrong way. Or something. So that’s my year for you, what about yours?
I'm sure you didn't jinx it though, don't worry too much. I don't know Alaska, you seem pretty clumsy to me. It's attracted to you? That's an interesting way to word it. Hmm, so far coffee has been really attracted to me this year. What I mean is that I've been working a lot.
I’m surprised that for this entire year — I haven’t had a single coffee spilt over me. Given, we’re only in Feburary but I can’t help but think it’s a good sign — right?
Careful, you might be jinxing yourself right now. Sounds like it;s just a sign that you are a little less clumsy than you were last year, but I guess you could think of that as a good thing.
