It's 2015 and I have ambitious plans. So how do I get from A to B? How do I get there faster? What does it take to make it in Hollywood?
I was listening to the radio this eve and George Harrison answered my question.

AdlerImprov and the Power of games. My latest blog post.
Did a make-up test yesterday. Thanks to Rob Adler at adlerimprov for introducing me to the production team. Aside from having a new found respect for anyone that sits in a chair for extended hours for make-up, I got a chance to play a little in front of the camera. And in this case, behind a glass door. More pics/vids to come. For more info on the movie, follow @smilingmanmovie.
Updated my reel. Give it a watch and let me know what you think.
Started UCB 301 last night with Julie Brister. She's fantastic. And blessed to be working with some really smart, funny people. Looking forward to our show in eight weeks.
Started AdlerImprov's On Camera Scene Study class Tuesday night. The scene - Biff in Death of a Salesman. Some really great performances out of the gate. Looking forward to seeing them in a couple weeks after they get a chance to marinate. Highly recommend this class and working with Rob Adler.
It's finally here! The long anticipated Platoon of Power Squadron Hypothesis The 8th FIGHT.

It feels good to be back! This was the last project I shot before leaving Chicago and it's a doozy. Nice to reunite with some old faces, meet some new friends and spend more quality time in the warehouse.
Eternally thankful and grateful to Jake Jarvi for the opportunity to bring Riley to life.
Hope you enjoy watching it as much as we had filming it!
I enjoyed Chris Game's commercial class so much, I signed up for his 12 week scene study class. If you ever wanted to learn how to make your auditions fly off the screen - commercial/TV/Film - I'd highly recommend working with Chris. He's an actor and casting director too, so he knows how to communicate in a language you'll understand.
The journey continues. Started UCB 201 yesterday.
BOOKED! Internal video job for a large technology manufacturer.
Special thanks to Armstrong Casting for the audition opportunity.
Monday night I start a six week commercial course with Chris Game.
His background:
Chris Game knows what you’re going through. The Los Angeles–based casting director has worked as an actor, director, writer, and production assistant and has been teaching acting for over 10 years.
For more, click here.
He's also a barefroot distance runner. Very cool.
Started UCB Level 1 today as part of my Q1 2014 focus on commercials and improv.
Also nice to drop ROY G BIV into a scene about shoes.
What if you approached every scene like a game?
I'm taking Advanced AdlerImprov for the next three months and that's just one of the recent "a ha" moments I took away from the first two weeks of the class. Highly recommend.
It's time to play.
Auditioned for LA Connection Comedy Theatre last Saturday and was accepted into their level 3 improv program. Six weeks of rehearsal and then it's performance time. Playing a lot of short form game, which I look forward to applying to commercial auditions.
Separately, LA Connection's alumni include Hank Azaria, Will Ferrell and my doppelganger, Chandler Bing - Matthew Perry. How serendipitous!
On New Year's Eve, I picked up a note on a tag and put it on my door. A good reminder heading into the New Year.
As a part of my 2014 Evolutions, I started Rob Adler's Intro to AdlerImprov class yesterday. Rob's techniques are heavily influenced by Viola Spolin, the mother of improv.
For those of you outside the Chicago improv scene:
"Spolin developed acting exercises or "games" that unleashed creativity, adapting focused "play" to unlock the individual's capacity for creative self-expression. Viola Spolin's use of recreational games in theater came from her background with the Works Progress Administration during the Great Depression where she studied with Neva Boyd starting in 1924."
Get out there an play!
