I feel like I make fun of WarioWare / Rhythm Heaven lead artist and character designer Ko Takeuchi a lot for how he can only draw three women. but look at Mona and 5-Volt in this group shot like who let him get away with making them look this similar to each other. why didn't anyone stop him

The frustrating thing about 5-Volt in particular is that she had at least a single distinctive facial trait in her previous appearance in Game & Wario (which was also the first time she was given a full design at all)

She had kind of a wavy cat smile, similar to her son. And like, that was a really cute touch! Why'd Takeuchi get rid of it?? Was bro that uncomfortable with a female character being a little less same-face???
