I was working as a volunteer at a stand today, so while I was there I drew a Laios on my sketchbook. Im a bit out of practice on colored pencils so I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. He's happy bc it's his first time flipping an omelette.

ok so this is another long shot but a few years ago there was a twitter post (in japanese i think?) that had measurememts for how to make this book stand thing out of cardboard that you could use to double up books and use up more space on shelves
back then i made a bunch of these but by now i lost the pic and dont know how to find the original post anymore
if it comes down to it i can just take one apart and get the measurements from there but i would be very grateful if anyone happens to have the original post or something similar??
don't mind how long it's been since i made this post, anyway i realized that i don't even need to take one apart to get the measurements when i can literally just unfold it and refold it /FACEPALM
so anyway here is the diagram for anyone else who is interested!!
this requires pretty big carboard pieces, if you have a really big box or something you can make it from one piece, but if you don't, you can also just make each of the pieces individually and then tape them together
and then in the end you put it together like this!!
and then when you make a bunch you can put them all next to each other and stack your books like crazy
EVERYONE START GETTING MORE USE OUT OF YOUR SPACE NOW!!!!
SHE ARRIVED TODAY!!!!!!!! @nopanamaman thank you so much!!!!!!!

that's it probably
Fun game to play when you see someone say something mean about people who choose to join the US military and you feel the need to Educate™ OP about the circumstances that drive people to enlist (and tell them that in order to be A Good Leftist and practice #Solidarity they have to be personally sympathetic to these circumstances)
Mentally replace any variation of "the US military" with "ICE" in the five-paragraph reply you're about to hit "reblog" on.
Do you still agree with what you just wrote?
If not, why?
Welcome to silly little Hannibal comic, goodnight
[Image description: Grayscale cartoony sketch-style digital comic.
Panel 1) Hannibal, the camera at the back of his head, asks, “Am I the villain in this story, Will?” Will, eyes closed, responds, “Hmm.”
2) Will seriously continues, “I wouldn’t say ‘villain,’ but....it’s not quite that simple.”
3) Tight shot on Hannibal’s face as he says, “Would you consider me a monster?”
4) Tight shot on Will’s face as he responds, “No. You’re different which scares people, but you’re not a monster.”
5) Close up on Hannibal’s closed eye in profile, as he says, “I see...”
6) Hannibal’s eye half-opens as he says, “Perhaps...”
7) Camera pulls back to reveal Hannibal has a sticker reading “Magneto” on his forehead. Hannibal asks, “Am I the cyclops Polyphemus?” Offscreen, Will responds, “No...” /End ID]
Stupid idea I had

Megumi: Hey, Maki I wanted to tell you I am coming out as a trans woman
Maki: That's great Megumi I'll support you no matter what
Picture of Mai used to represent Megumi: Man, estrogen sure is amazing!
Maki: What the fuck?

so uhh the haunted video game twist in inscryption falls flat for me as is. but, like... on top of that, surely, a core element of the horror of the "haunted video game" is the idea that the horror doesn't respect the fourth wall, that your sense of safety and removal as a mere spectator is threatened when the game bursts its agreed upon boundaries and e.g. calls you by your windows profile name or whatever. but bafflingly inscryption undercuts even that with its pointless metanarrative--"you're playing a haunted video game" is already less scary than the initial premise the game jettisons for it but its still much more scary than "The Lucky Carder is playing a haunted video game"
the lesbian computer from portal was right. given the circumstances ive been shockingly nice

after reading a couple different analysis' on jjk i think there's an interesting dichotomy? contradiction? in that none of the sorcerer's had a satisfactory or "proper" death but plenty of them died satisfied in some way
Kugisaki never got to see her friend but she herself said it was a good life, Nanami never got to take his vacation/retirement but he died smiling after speaking to Yuuji, Mai dies because of her families cruel misogyny but she also dies saving her sister, something she is ultimately content with, Gojo could not save Megumi or reach Sukuna but he himself says he died without regrets
so what does that say for the themes of the manga? is a proper death being satisfied with your life? or is it that a proper death is subjective? something undefinable? that you cannot die with dignity but you can make your life meaningful? that a "good" death doesn't mean anything because death ultimately doesn't mean anything? seeing as it comes for anyone at anytime, and thus it's what you do with your life while you have it that has any meaning? since ultimately it's what these characters did with their lives while they were alive that gave them that satisfaction?
all of these deaths feel deeply unsatisfactory to the reader because they are cruel and unfair, narratives cut short before they reach any kind of conclusion, but if that was all gege wanted, to show the meaningless cruelty of death, why have so many characters some level of content when they died? unless he's also trying to carve out space for some kind of compassion and happiness around that cruel death?
