I painted Tristan (or Tristran, depending on your perspective) because Stardust is both my favourite book and my favourite film of all time.
I swear I thought I was through with the concept of love, at least that of the romantic variety, but the way I feel about this story and these characters has genuinely made me feel like I might just believe again.

Dear Stranger, So... This is a thing now. IN MY DEFENCE, I'm really proud of this one. Of course, I do hope you like it - but ultimately,Ā I wrote this song for fun (as I do most of my music). Is it silly? Yes. Is it stupid? Yes. Is it a masterpiece? Art is subjective so you will have your own opinion, but I think it's not too shabby, so there. I wanted to get this out in time to celebrate the release of Stranger Things season 4. It's one of my favourite shows of all time and we have all been waiting so long to see this season so I cannot wait. So, I wrote a song about Batman... I guess there's no real way to say that which doesn't make me sound like a huge dork, but there you go. I did and I'm proud of it so if you think for one second that your judgy gaze at my face on your device screen is going to stop me having my fun then you are most egregiously mistaken!Ā
Yes, I wrote a song about the dark knight himself. Yes, this was not long after having seen the new film. I don't regret it. That film was incredible and something I feel we've been missing for a long time. As a long time fan of Batman from both the comics, animated works and earlier films, I was so worried they would mess this up - but they did the opposite. Thus, I wrote this.Ā
I love writing songs about fictional characters. Makes me feel like it's the early 2000's again, when every superhero film had its own song written and performed for it by a real bonafide rock band. I miss those days. Vindicated is a TUNE!Ā
Anyway, enough of my nostalgic ramblings. Take this. Guard it. Keep is safe. But don't keep it secret, if you can help it.Ā

It is no secret that I, Rob Bombadillo, was one MEGA EMO teenager. When My Chem announced their comeback, you bet your butt this grown-ass woman squealed like a child. Now, imagine my elation when I discovered the return of FVK. Spoiler alert; I was ecstatic! These guys, with their epic harmonies and wham-bam-thankya-mam theatrics, have brought me endless joy throughout the years. In an ideal world, I would be in a band half as good as these guys. But, for now, it's just me and Gretsch-y enjoying the good news. A RESURRECTION SUPREME! This song is one I often find myself humming whenever there's a lul so I only thought it fitting that I cover it to celebrate. If I had my way I'd be covering Death or Disgrace (my personal favourite), but "ain't nobody got [skillz] fo' that". Hope y'all are enjoying the news as much as me.

This is actually a song I wrote in 2019, but I couldn't find the file for it... UNTIL NOW! I tried to polish it up a bit and may or may not have been unsuccessful in doing so, but it's still one of my fondest creations so HAVE IT! It's a song about self-sabotage and always being attracted to toxic people (a habit I no longer seem to have THANK YOU VERY MUCH). I hope this finds you well and that you enjoy it in some way.

Well, hey! Long time no see!
So, Iāve been a ghost on here. The truth is Iāve grown to really hate social media recently (this platform is particularly prone to triggering many of my ācomplaint fitsā. So, Iāve been keeping it at arms length until super recently.
A LOT has changed. Iām no longer pursuing a career in art and have officially dropped out of art school. I still love drawing but realised I hate drawing for other people so that was clearly a terrible idea in the first place. Iām now hoping to do something in the line of animal care, but we shall see how that pans out. Also continuing to work on my music outside of that so keep youār eyes peeled for that.Ā I just want to do something fulfilling. Iām sick of sitting around doing nothing day in day out. Itās driving me nuts how much time Iām wasting. NO MORE! IāM ALIVE! Time to start acting like it!
Got my first covid jab so Iām eagerly awaiting the second one. Looking forward to a post-plague society so yāall better do your bit and roll up yo sleeves! Seriously, Iām not taking any anti-vax bullshit. It doesnāt cause Autism, TRUST ME - IāM AUTISTIC!
Anywho, sorry for the rambling. Just thought it had ben a while since I checked in and even though the likelihood of anyone having noticed my absence is SLIM, I thought Iād keep any of you who may have noticed posted on the boring little world of me. I donāt know how many people out there do pay attention to this, I havenāt had any friends for a real long time so Iām starting to forget how humans work again (all the ones I had treated me like a backup and werenāt there when I needed them most, so I cut ties when I started learning that I matter). My only frame of reference right now involves a lot of Starfleet officers, and I donāt think thatās how I remember people being lol.

This was very blatantly inspired by my favourite comic series "Paper Girls" which I cannot recommend enough! KJ is my favourite character and she's an absolute sweetheart! 10/10.

This is a song I wrote a while ago. I was just coming through the end of a pretty rough patch and finally learning how to love myself after years of struggling with a crippling low self esteem. This song is about being there for myself. Realising that I don't need to be surrounded by friends to be happy. I have everything I need right here and people have let me down so many times that I'm finally feeling content within myself. I can finally say that I love me and that I deserve that love. I hope whoever ypu are, wherever you are, that you know you are enough for you. You deserve love and you are more than qualified to provide that love.
