A/N: I'm so sorry @lovedtodeth that it has taken me this long to write the sequel to your request! I really hope you like it! ♥️
"What, are you cheating or something?" You teased yet after a moment, the thought begin to cross your mind due to his nervous behavior. "Wait, are you actually-"
"What? No!" Paul interjected, his grip on your hand tightening slightly as he looked into your eyes. "This is something different, babe."
"Then, what is it?" You asked, returning his gaze and rubbing his knuckles with your thumb. "Baby, you can tell me anything."
There was a part of him that regretted saying anything, wanting to back out and pretend he was simply fucking around before taking you home and tell you another time. Perhaps, he could prepare more and tell you when you weren't on a date. He didn't want to ruin the special night for you both if you rejected him. However, he remembered Dwayne's encouragement from last night.
You were his mate. Someone in which a higher power decided that you were his perfect match. Unless that higher power was a sadistic asshole, you wouldn't reject him.
Right?
The parking lot was practically deserted, given that the late hours of the night was approaching. Few people were still sitting in their vehicles and Paul knew that the parking lot was a rather difficult place to tell you. It was too public, unsafe.
"Come on." He tugged your hand, walking towards his bike with you following him. "This isn't the best place to tell you."
After a moment of Paul getting on his bike and helping you sit down behind him, he thought of the best place he could take you. You have never been to the cave, however he knew through the mind link with his brothers that they had just returned from their feast. He couldn't take you there for the time being.
After a moment, an idea practically smashed against his skull. Giving you a glance as you wrapped your arms around his waist, he smirked before rushing out of the parking lot.
He'll take you to Hudson's Bluff.
You were ultimately a nervous wreck.
Depite how energetic Paul usually was whenever the both of you would go for a ride, the destination to wherever he was taking you was almost in complete silence. Except for the occasional 'almost there' during in which you would break the silence and ask him where you were heading.
However, after a few more agonizing minutes, you started to realize that he was taking you to Hudson's Bluff after recognizing the uneven and rocky pathway to the point.
Paul slowed his bike to a stop, pushing out his kickstand with his foot and turning the keys to silence the rumbling engine. After a second, he nervously gave his handlebars a small tap before climbing off.
He turned to you and held out his hand, "Don't want you to trip." He teased, trying to lighten the mood with a smirk on his face.
You gave him a playful glare before taking his hand and hopping of the back of his bike. "When did you become such a gentleman?" You asked after gaining your footing on the ground.
"Come on, babe! When have I not been a gentleman?" Quickly, he interjected before you could reply, "Wait, don't answer that."
You smiled before shaking your head and looking around the Bluff, stuffing your hands in your pockets for some warmth.
"So, what's the matter?" You asked, looking towards him.
Paul sighed before taking a few steps back, if he were human, his heart would be beating rapidly. However, if he were human, he wouldn't be in this shitty situation.
"Babe, I haven't been honest with you. Honest with you about me." He started, crossing his arms and shuffling a little bit.
From experience of being his significant other, his fidgeting usually meant that he thought he was in trouble or he was hiding something. You were starting to become more nervous.
Paul wouldn't cheat on you?
"Paul, you're scaring me." You said, taking a couple steps towards him to close the distance. However, it only made Paul retreat to recreate that distance. "What's going on?"
"I'm a monster, babe and I don't want to lose you because of it."
"A monster? Why would you think that? What did you do?" You stared at him for a moment in pure confusion. "Did you...kill someone or something?"
Paul stood there in silence, his fingers nervously gripping the fabric of his jacket. You weren't completely wrong and he could tell that you were getting more scared. He regretted telling you like this, however he was starting to lose confidence.
"Oh my God, did you?!"
"I'm a vampire!" Paul yelled, throwing his arms out. The words of his confession seemed to echo throughout the Bluff and there was only the sound of waves crashing against the rocks. "I'm a vampire babe and I have to kill people to survive!"
He was only met with silence and the pairing gaze of the eyes he loved so much.
You stood there, frozen from the confession. However, after a moment, you began to get angry. "Are you fucking kidding me?"
"What?" Now, it was his turn turn be confused.
"You had me worried to death about this secret that you had, drive me to the middle of nowhere, just to pull some stupid prank?!" You yelled, throwing your arms out in a similar manner before stepping away slightly.
"What?! No, that's not what I was doing!" Paul tried to reason, following close behind. "Babe, listen-"
"No! I think we should call it a night and talk another time." You reasoned, holding out your hand and walking towards the bike. "Actually, let's take a break for a while."
A fucking what? A fucking break?!
Suddenly, you gasped as you were pinned against the bike, your back pressed against the harsh metal as you stared into the gaze of an animal.
Paul stood there with a hand loosely gripping your delicate throat, talons expertly kept away from cutting into your skin. His other arm was wrapped around your waist.
You stood there in fear seeing the distorted face of your boyfriend, his eyes yellow with gritted teeth that displayed sharp canines.
"You're not breaking up with me." He growled, his hand giving your throat a small squeeze. It didn't exactly hurt, but it did leave a message not to move. "You're going to listen to me, like a good mate."
"Are you really a vampire...?" You asked, slowly wrapping your fingers around his wrist with the hand gripping your neck. "What do you mean mate?"
"Exactly what it means." He replied, before slowly bringing his hand from your throat and down towards your chest, palm pressed against your heart. "I'm a monster and you belong to me, as my mate. You were destined to me."
You felt warmth crept upon your face from his hand placement and the intense look in his eyes. This was a complete difference from your beloved Paul that cracked jokes and never serious. This was his other side, his monsterous side.
And you kinda liked it.
"I'm sorry." You replied, glancing away, "I don't want us to break up...I was just angry and it's something that was really hard to believe."
Paul pulled away before his face returned to its human form, gripping your wrists and vending down to look into your eyes.
"It's okay, sugar. I know it's not something many people will believe. But, you gotta understand that this is what I am and I can't change that."
"I don't want you to change!" You replied, returning his gaze with tears building in your eyes. "I accept you for who you are."
Paul gave a small sigh in relief before cupping the side of your face. "I needed to hear you say that. You're stuck with me, babe." He teased, before giving you a small kiss, which you gladly returned.
"Always." You gave him a small smile, bringing your hand to rest against his own that still held your cheek.
