I’m confused how did It age well? Mike barely glanced at Robin and Will😭
Although Mike isn't around for many of these Will and Robin interactions, he's paying attention. In episode four, he flags that Joyce appears to like Robin better... Now why would he say that if he wasn't aware?
What Mike does know is that:
Will clearly adores Robin.
Robin publicly announced she had a date one night and disappears for hours with Will.
Robin and Will are going on side-quests together and bonding.
Robin and Will had a deeply emotional moment in the tunnels together which made will cry and laugh (what a beautiful sound)
Out of Lucas, Joyce, and Mike, Mike was the only one at the end of the tunnel who didn't look their way.
Genuinely how do you explain this as an anti-byler or a mil*ven
It's important for doubters to recognize that Robin didn't see this, as she was walking in front of them, or any of the other numerous times Mike has done stuff like this.
If Robin thinks this is one-sided, it's because she hasn't been paying attention, much like the bulk of the audience.
Yep, also note that she didn't see their flirting scene, just the end of it. When Mike mentioned Eleven and then Will did the awkward push thing. That is all she saw of their relationship before giving Will that speech.

Yeah. I just have to wonder wtf he was doing to make Will go from giving up completely on his feelings to openly flirting with him ??? Knowing he has a girlfriend???? Like I'll be honest, Mike's only acting as gay on camera this season as he did in season 4, so is his homosexuality camera shy or ? Wtf did it do while we weren't watching?

byler aside, will and robin’s friendship and solidarity was so beautiful and so important and to see queer characters bond over their queerness and to have that queerness save the day in a major franchise is already so huge

I'm still not convinced on byler endgame. Mike didn't reciprocate the little shoulder tap, play-fighting thing. Even robin saw that.
But i have more hope than i did before the season, despite that little blip with Finn. I'm honestly not sure how the show redeemed itself but it did for me, for a short while at least. I won't let Christmas be a disappointment but I'll still have my fun.

Honestly, I've been waiting for this to happen. I have expected it to be maybe a week ago but not so suddenly on the last possible day before release.
Pretty sure I've talked about this before, but waiting to deny a queer ship until the last possible second is baiting. It seems so calculated for this interview to come out with 8 hours on the clock when we've been having nonstop interviewing for the past week.
I already didn't have much hope, so I've been waiting them to shut it down for the past year and a half, since I got back into the show. And nothing happened. This is fucking horrid treatment of the queer side of the fandom, to allow hope until less than 24 hours remain until the show releases.
