I just hope they don't follow the movie too closely, because doesn't it end rather bittersweet? It's been forever since I've seen it. But IIRC, both characters lose their memories of each other, but there's something that draws them back to each other so they can start over or something.

In my total loss about what to do about the current state of Byler, I am finding myself wanting to drift towards Rovickie because at least they're canon and I have faith (please don't let me eat my words here, Duffers) that they'll stay happy and alive and together and they'll become even stronger after they've faced the end of the world by each other's side.

However comma I'm also wondering if that's me giving up too readily and doing exactly what they want me to do? Shuffling over into the comforts of an underdeveloped ship we didn't see get together because at least they're queer and happy? Shutting up and settling for less?

It's sort of exhausting. At least the shreds they've given us for Rovickie are very cute. I've run with worse.
