Eddie using Chris to as a reason to deny himself from going out with another person.
Brother is actively and outwardly repressing himself and using his son as his excuse. He makes my skin itch because he was supposed to be looking for joy and stop using putting Chris as excuse as to why he can’t do certain things.
Buck tells Eddie that he’s just using Chris as an excuse that Chris is Eddie’s ‘Chasity belt’ ( which indeed was a wild comparison) but Chris is this reason why repress/ holds himself back on doing anything remotely that could bring him enjoyment outside of his son.
It makes sense for Eddie to be doing this because of all the crazy things that have happened. Everytime he tries to do something for himself he ‘screws up’ he hurts someone and he’s never actually doing it for himself.
Eddie does not know what it’s like to put himself first; to do something outside of what he’s supposed to do. To look where he’s not supposed to look, it’s always been what about this person and that person?
Also buck brings up how Eddie hasn’t looked at woman in a year and Eddie’s like
And buck brings it up again and Eddie mentions to Buck again that he also hasn’t been seeing anybody; and I thought that was interesting.
And when buck and Ravi took Eddie out to go meet women Eddie didn’t really have an interest in talking to anyone until buck walked up to that woman and they looked towards him. Then when he sees Buck getting her number he’s like ‘tch’ 😑
Also thought it was funny for Ravi to be clowning Eddie and buck while they were out
He ask Eddie “why are you so bad at this”
And then when buck says he single by choice or something Ravi says “yeah, Tommy’s choice” BYEE
Imma have to rewatch the ep to speak more on this but these are just my current thoughts..
