Barty had never said I love you to anyone, not even to Evan or any of his best friends. Loving was something complicated in Barty Crouch Jr.'s mind, declaring himself even more, even if Evan Rosier knew he was loved, was never affirmed with words. When Bartemius understood that loving didn't have to be complicated, he finally planned to say the three words "I love you", but that was the night Evan would die on one of his missions as a death eater.

Barty sat by Evan's grave for hours saying it over and over again after the funeral, freshly turned dirt staining his clothes and hands because he needed Evan to know even if he was gone that Barty did love him and it was love he felt

He spent days sleeping on Pandoras sofa because the dingy flat he shared with Evan was no longer home and she comforted him despite the fact she was pregnant with luna, told Barty that Evan knew Barty loved him back even if he never said it.

What Pandora never said was the fact that Evan was carrying a ring in his pocket that same night, that he was going to propose even if they couldn't legally get married. So that same night, two things that would've changed their worlds were left unsaid
