God put a good work in you. He’s continuing to put a good work in you. Day by day, night by night, hour by hour, minute by minute, second by second, God is transforming you into the person He designed you to be.

He takes the things you call mistakes and turns them into testimonies of redemption. He transforms those messy, broken pieces into something magnificent. He is molding you on the darkest nights. He is celebrating on the brightest days. There is no hole too deep and no cavern too wide for God to travel through. You are God’s handy work… and He rejoices in you for it.

He never gets tired of working on you. He doesn’t get frustrated when you don’t do something quite right the first time - He is gentle in His guidance. There is no condemnation in God’s love - there is only peace and salvation and the bettering of the soul He has placed in your body.

He has never given up on you. He will never give up on you.

Don’t give up on yourself.

Now set your mind and heart to seek the Lord your God.” (1 Chronicles 22:19) This means setting our mind and heart on God rather than the things of this world. The great promise to those who seek the Lord is that He will be found. “If you seek Him, He will be found by you” (1 Chronicles 28:9). And when He is found, there is great reward. “Whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). God Himself is our greatest reward. And when we have Him, we have everything. Therefore, “Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His presence continually!”

You’re never too broken to not be used by God. You’re never too dirty to be loved by God. You’ll never make enough mistakes to make God turn His back on you. You are not powerful enough to ruin God’s plans for you. It’s never too late to offer God your heart (even if it’s beating a little slower than you’d like it to.)

If you are breathing you have a purpose. There is someone out there who needs to hear the words you have to speak. There is someone out there who needs that hug you have to give. There is someone out there who needs to see your scars. There is someone out there who needs you, plain and simple.

You have been given a life for a reason: you were knitted together for a purpose.

Even the darkest nights turn into morning. Don’t let your pain overshadow your future.

Perhaps you were created for such a time as this. Esther 4:14

Don’t let your fear hold you captive. Don’t let your shame chain you. Don’t let your shame fool you. Don’t let your guilt trap you. Don’t let your doubt control you.

Tell your demons to get lost. You have work to do.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. Ephesians 2:10 It is through trying and testing that we are prepared for great work He has called us to do If you were to ask Moses how he became who he was, he would remind you of his trials and his times of testing in the wilderness. Ask Joseph, he would most likely refer back to his years as a slave, the false accusation and his imprisonment in Pharaoh’s dungeon. If you’re in a season of preparation, trust your precious Savior and know that He will lead you to victory.

Are we good enough?

Of course not! We’re frail. We’re human. We fail.

But because of what God has done for us, because of Christ who died for us, because of the Spirit within us, we are enough and so much more. When the enemy whispers to you “you are not good enough!” remember these scriptures.

When you feel afraid, remember God says: You are REDEEMED.

“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine” (Isa. 43:1).

When you feel unloved, God says: You are LOVED.

“You are precious and honored in my sight, and . . . I love you” (Isa. 43:4).

When you feel forgotten, God says: You are REMEMBERED.

“See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands” (Isa. 49:16).

When you feel insecure, God says: You are SECURE.

“Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders” (Deut. 33:12).

When you feel unable or unstable, God says: You are ABLE.

“The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights” (Hab. 3:19).

When you feel worthless, God says: You are CALLED.

“You are a chosen generation, a royal priest, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of the darkness into His wonderful light” (1 Pet.2: 9)

When he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me” (Matthew 14:30). Peter walked on the water as long as he kept his gaze on the Master. He only began to sink when he turned his attention away from Jesus, to look at the boisterous waves. Don’t look at the waves! Don’t allow natural occurrences determine the circumstances of your existence. Don’t be moved by what your natural senses can perceive; be moved only by the Word. Those who take their eyes away from the Word are easily overwhelmed by the crises of life. This was what happened to Peter; he took his eyes away from Jesus, the Living Word, to look at the waves. The waves here could mean the challenging circumstances that come against your faith. No matter how ferocious the attacks of the enemy may be, keep your eyes on Jesus, and walk on in victory. Be like Abraham, who refused to consider his body dead, when he was about one hundred years old, neither did he consider the deadness of Sarah’s womb (Romans 4:19). Refuse to be cowed by the waves of terrorism, sickness, failure, fear, and discouragement that the adversary may hurl at you!
