I Burn
This one was especially fun to work on. This is my first experiment with adding electric guitar into an orchestra piece, and I think it works great.

It's alright Lift... it's not like he can read... (yet).
Music for traveling through fantasy realms.
I wrote this song to listen to while playing Dungeons and Dragons. It isnāt really specific to any moments in the campaign, but it kind of sums up the whole experience of playing for me.
You can find it on streaming here: https://too.fm/sojourner
The artwork is watercolor pencil, also by me. https://cara.app/post/ca447f32-b3f0-49cb-badb-1f3ddebe8de1
Behold my first video game soundtrack! I wrote the music for the Underworld section of a little platformer game that my college game development club made for a game jam competition.
My song is track 2 on the album. You can stream it on your favorite service here: https://too.fm/gekl
You can also play the game on Itch.io:

this is a true fact about me: i can make various parts of my body warmer or colder at will. i learned this skill at age 8 after reading about how monks can do such things and i thought to myself "well monks are just some guys" and it's remarkably easy actually
Scheduling my reblog for tomorrow so ppl donāt assume this is an April Fool but yeah, I taught myself to do that as a kid on similar grounds. I trained myself using mood rings - I eventually got it so I could reliably turn a mood ring on my hand pretty much any color I wanted, which would have been a fun party trick except for the fact that the sort of person who trains themselves to control mood rings as a child is also not the sort of person who often gets invited to parties.
So whens that Vacuo ball happening?

RIP to everyone killed by the gods for their hubris but im different. and better. maybe even better than the gods
I feel like a lot of people donāt quite get what a butler is. The role tends to get rounded off to āmale servantā pretty regularly in some media, whereas actually butlers are typically not just servants but chief servants. The butler was generally in charge of either all male servants or just all servants, period, in the household of an aristocrat or other very wealthy person. This meant that butlers have often been fairly powerful and influential people, and sometimes even had a manservant or two of their own.
(Also, fun fact: Mary Roberts Rinehart, the early 20th century mystery writer who is widely credited with popularizing the whole āthe butler did itā trope was nearly murdered by one of her own servants, a chef whom she had passed over for promotion to butler. He came at her with a pistol, but it jammed, allowing her chauffeur time to wrestle it away and restrain him.)
You didnāt answer the key question things brings up: did she popularize the trope before or after the would-be butler tried to kill her?
according to wikipedia, before
Thereās something glorious about the fact that the author who popularised āthe butler did itā had a servant who a) failed to become the butler and then b) failed to do it.
If heād been butler material, heād have finished the job.
Since itās Spotify Wrapped season I thought Iād share this reminder that streaming services are killing the music industry. Musicians canāt make a living like this. If you love an artist, find them on Bandcamp and actually buy their albums.
Reminder: This friday (December 5th) is Bandcamp Friday! That means 100% of the proceeds from album sales on Bandcamp go directly to the artists you buy from.
$185 for a YEAR is already miserable enough. But that needs even more perspective.
Spotify makes like $4B a year. Their operating costs are in the range of $500M. ( source )
Without artists, they have nothing. Yet theyāre paying less than 2 pennies for 1000 streams.
Thatās beyond evil.
The CEO of Spotify is literally richer than Taylor Swift.
His earnings over a 12-month period are reported to be equivalent to 115 billion streams
