one time i was making potato soup and i needed broth for it but i was out of broth. but in my dog food cabinet there was a carton of chicken broth that i had bought for my dog. now the box did say HUMAN GRADE and the ingredients were just bog standard chicken broth. it did say something about joint health for dogs on there. but the ingredients were normal. i even compared the ingredients list to some normal person broth and they were the same. so i did put dog broth in that soup and it did taste completely normal. but i did use the dog broth.

yknow it’s interesting to debate the whole women liking BL/MxM/MLM/yaoi of it all because I do think there’s points about misogyny and female characters in relation to said ‘genre’ but at the same time I feel like it’s worth also considering why female representation is limited in that also? wherein women are left out of the story entirely or included either as the confidant & wise giver of advice or the scorned/scornful ex-girlfriend from before one of the men figured things out. and I think that coupled with the idea that women disappear when it’s two men in love—as if women exist simply for the romance genre or to be half of a romantic pairing—it’s just interesting to me the ways in which it turns around to being questions of why women like these stories, why women write the stories, why don’t women do these stories better, and less so of the ways in which stories and art, generally speaking, often reflect the world we live in. and why women are expected to correct the misogyny in it all while men don’t need to worry about it?

if you do it on purpose you're a dick. if it's on accident but you keep doing it that person is still going to be mad at you because you don't care enough to try not to step on their toes

imagine you start to care about someone and want them to live but the only way you can do that is to act as though you're madly in love with them. you have to kiss him in order to convince people to send life-saving medication for him, and if you don't act madly in love with him then the likelihood of both of you dying goes up astronomically. but both of you make it out alive and you want to be happy and celebrate but now you find out that because of the way you both lived you now have to pretend to be head over heels in romantic love for him forever otherwise your fascist government will kill everyone you love. and you do care about him, are caring about him more and more as you get to know him, but everything they want you to do for the cameras feels deeply unnatural to you. and meanwhile your best friend who you view as a brother has started acting weird around you because of all this and kisses you without asking and how do you tell him that you don't want any of that because who will believe you? you're the second half of your country's favorite celebrity couple. and on top of all that you have insane amounts of ptsd!!!

it's funny because i was raised on MLB and i've been a Nationals fan for as long as i can remember and i love watching baseball and going to baseball games and talking about baseball but like...ever since the WPBL started i just. can't believe i was living without it before. i can't believe i went my entire life up till now watching and enjoying baseball played EXCLUSIVELY by men. and just never thought about it that hard. now that there's a women's pro league i feel like i've been in the desert so dehydrated that i had begun hallucinating a world where water didn't exist. and then i got a cool, refreshing drink of water, and i can't fucking believe i thought i didn't need water. i do love baseball because it's what i was brought up on, but now i think about watching an MLB game and i just feel so bored. what do you mean there's no women? why the fuck would i watch a baseball game that has no women? what would be the point of that?

i think we should change the meaning of the acronym to be Men's League Baseball. because that's what it is. no girls allowed in the MLB. and as a girl and a woman, frankly, i find that incredibly boring. everyone watches women's sports. just like everyone drinks water. they tricked me into thinking that i didn't need it, but now that i have it, they can pry it from my cold dead hands.
