Figured I should try making one of these instead of having a long ass intro post! I'm pretty proud of how it turned out <3

☆ #tron.txt - I see a lot of people use .txt for their 'just talking' type of posts so I figured whatever I will also do that lol.
☆ #my art - self explanatory, the tag I use for my digital art. I would say digital and others but I really only do digital art lol.
☆ #bot guy - art for my robot sona thing in my pfp, honestly just tagging him with this because that's what I title my art files for him, lol. Can't exactly come up with a name for him since he is me, and I wouldn't wanna just tag my username when referring to this character design. sorry for the rambling
☆ #rox redesigns - basically for my art specifically when I redesign a character.
figured now that I came back to make a post I might as well post some art too. I wanna start posting more original art on this blog and less fandom-based stuff, though I'll still keep fandom blogs for stuff like that of course.
anyway here's the new pfp with a little guy i designed for myself.
(i have now made an edited version since to give a better outline + changed the hoodie design a bit. Felt like I should keep the OG version here though since it's nice to see the improvement.)
you ever think about how funny it is that previous generations get nostalgia for like. the 50's and 80's aesthetics.
meanwhile people born close to my generation get nostalgia for like. early youtube, warrior cats animations, animation memes, things like that. i kinda miss those days tbh.
some people's early youtube nostalgia is like. men ranting about children's art and using slurs. my early youtube nostalgia is being the child making art and watching animation memes lol
had to reupload because youtube is cruel -_-
anyway, added in a few new clips since i had to reupload this! it was my first attempt working with video editing using clips from my friend @nit-pick so if you find this video funny go watch him!
okay so. uhm. two things. 1. i was planning to make some pride pfps of my ocs every day since i realized i could do that for pride month but. i had two shitty days in a row so. i don't know if i'll keep up with that- and 2.
I'm really bad at motivating myself to actually work on pieces until they're finished.. I keep bouncing inbetween WIPs and it's getting to the point where my "WIPs i plan to finish" folder is. getting pretty big. so. i might give it a shot to do a little poll here and maybe that'll help motivate me to give a bit more of an order to "please finish this wip before you move on to a different one"
What WIPs should I try to finish first?
Trix ref sheets- Shapeshifter OC I plan to give refs for multiple forms of
Ace ref sheet- Main character, I'm not too happy with current refs tbh.
Niku redesign - Miku inspired OC, redesigning her to be more unique
Nova redesign- Space/star themed OC. Haven't finished a ref for her in years.
Rex redesign - Also haven't redesigned in years. Wanting to change their gender
Pollux design - Haven't finished ref for them. have written for them quite a bit

I'm not good at motivating myself to finish projects lately, so.. any interaction to have more people telling me "please finish this project" would definitely help <3
actually y'know what it'd probably help if i elaborated here hmmm..
Trix - I've had their idea in my mind for a while now, the more developed they've become they've been pretty heavily inspired by how Ghost Trick's ending made me feel. Initially they felt they had to present as human, until being reassured they will be loved and respected as an equal regardless of what form they take.
Ace - He's. got a lot going on, honestly. He's one of my favorites, he's autistic, he's aroace, he ends up in a QPR, he ends up saving most of the people he meets in ways he never intended to. He's got the weight of the world on his shoulders to prevent the loss of a war and the death of his loved ones because of an impulsive choice he made when he was young, and only once he starts to lose people does he realize how fucking intensely the odds stack against him.
Niku - I just think she's cool lol. I talked about her a bit but lemme go copy-paste what I wrote before--
A performer wandering through the neutral zone- Stuck in the middle of a war, not wanting to risk her life on either side, she wanders the territory of those who feel similarly. Those trying to survive despite the circumstances that surround them.
She performs in any town that'll allow her, and makes her living off that. Because of the issues that come with fame, in any world; She's become experienced in combat against her will through self-defense, while travelling between performances.
It's not that she agrees or disagrees with either side of the war: She sees the nuances and wants to live her own life, she doesn't want to dedicate her life to a cause, but tries to live as freely as she can within a dangerous world. That's what she stands for, using her performances to give people a distraction from their circumstances, hoping to find ways for people to live normal lives throughout the chaos around them.
After she gained her popularity and became more financially comfortable, money gained from her performances became donated and dedicated to a cause attempting to support and rebuild the towns caught in the crossfire of the war.
Nova - I really need to work on her more. She's trans, she's in a polycule, i want her writing to be as nuanced as possible, as she struggles with the grief and the weight put on her after the death of a loved one. she blames people she probably shouldn't, but raised in a war, violence seems like the only way to get results or closure after what happened. She's flawed, but i want her to be flawed in a way that you can sympathize with her, or even agree with her, while still being upset at the results and consequences of the actions she takes.
Rex - part of the previously mentioned polycule actually. I had initially written him as a man, but it never really felt right, a lot of his inspirations were commonly characters with more fluidity in their gender or gender presentation, and the more I think about it bigender feels right for her. i haven't had the chance or motivation to draw her since that realization, so unfortunately most of his refs are still from when she was designed as a cis man. i wanted to redesign him with a skeleton motif too. i'm sure that bodes very well for her future.
Pollux - It's kind of ironic how many ideas i've had for his character without even making a completed ref that I feel even remotely satisfied with. Sort of a mentor figure, but also not really. I feel like a lot of mentors just kinda sit back and provide advice and support from a distance, Pollux stands by to protect and fight with the people she cares about. They're more of a parental figure, in a sense that gets. complicated when they're a parental figure to most of the teenagers left to fight in the war, but they are the adopted father of two of those kids. Really what makes it complicated is the fact that she's forced to distance herself from one of those kids for their own safety, which unfortunately comes across as neglectful, but for reasons they can't fully explain without putting anyone in further danger. they've kind of been made responsible for a lot after their own friends died in the war, leaving Pollux the only one left who was capable of handling it all.
okay so. uhm. two things. 1. i was planning to make some pride pfps of my ocs every day since i realized i could do that for pride month but. i had two shitty days in a row so. i don't know if i'll keep up with that- and 2.

happy pride month! I wanted to draw something for it, I experimented with a bit of a more blocky/low poly art style, it was fun to work on.
I figured for the occasion it'd be a good idea to use the opportunity to explain more about my gender identity, as it's a label that's not widely known and I usually have to explain to people when they don't recognize the flag.
The flag shown in the art is the neoboy flag, as soon as I heard about the label it felt right for me. (Plus it definitely helped the flag was my favorite colors. lol) As a transmasculine person, I never felt quite comfortable with the demiboy label, they're similar identities, however I feel neoboy is more specific to my identity.
I always got the impression the demiboy label was used similarly to the genderfluid label, sometimes you feel more nonbinary, sometimes you feel more like a man. Even then, it also tends to be used to represent a blend between nonbinary and man. That sort of label never felt right for me. I never felt that I identified fully with being nonbinary, or fully with being a man.
With the label of neoboy, it specifically mentions having a 'new' or unique connection to masculinity, feeling like a man, but not in the way that you wish you were a cis man. I feel like that label fits my identity well. If I had to pick a gender on the binary, I'd prefer to be aligned as masculine, I feel a much stronger connection to it, but like the label says, in a 'different' way. Ultimately my transition goals don't really change my body that much- The only forms of dysphoria I get are from my chest and my voice. That's all. I don't wish my hips or thighs looked more masculine, or that I had male genitals. I'm mostly okay with my body the way it is, but I still want to be more masculine.
I think the best way I feel I can explain it is in the way people get gender envy for fictional characters.
I'll use KH3 Sora as an example here since it's the first fictional male character that came to mind that I do get some level of gender envy for.
When I say I wanna look like Sora, we can all understand that (usually) doesn't mean I want to look exactly like him, right? That I'm not asking for those saturated blue eyes, I'm not asking for his cartoony proportions and anime-style eyes. I can't speak for other people's experiences, but in my experience when I say I wanna look like someone like this, that doesn't mean I basically want to be transplanted into their in-game model, lol. It just means I want to look vaguely like him or close enough. It means I connect with the pieces of him that speak to my style and my transition goals. I like that he's able to have a long-ish hairstyle for a guy and a mullet while still noticably appearing masculine, his big baggy clothes speak to my personal style, and connect to the way I choose to present myself and my gender. Hell, some people may even perceive him wearing a necklace as a feminine style or a feminine trait, but you can still tell he's a guy! Those are the parts of him I label as 'gender' and want for myself. I want to be able to present myself with styles that could be viewed as androgynous or even feminine while still being recognizable as mostly masculine.
Because I do identify with being a man and masculinity, but that doesn't mean I want to live in a male body. I'm okay with being born as a woman. Transitioning is a stressful process for probably every trans person, but I certainly wouldn't trade it for living in a male body. Once I do transition and do reach my transition goals and I'm able to present my gender in a way that makes me happy, that's what I want for myself. I don't want all of the effects of testosterone, I'm unsure if I want to take it at all or if I'd only take it for a short time, but, anyway- how people perceive my gender in terms of sex/physical changes likely does align more with a cis woman than a cis man, but the way I present my gender still aligns with being viewed as masculine, as a man. Not in a hyper-masculine-very-obviously-a-man-no-questions-asked kind of way, but just. A guy. In the way people see fictional characters like Sora. He has some traits people may question or view as feminine, and with him being a cartoon character, obviously his sex characteristics aren't going to be visible or amplified, so people aren't going to be paying attention to those. (Not to mention they probably shouldn't since he's a teenager, but that's a different conversation.)
I guess the best way I can describe it feels like it's through fictional characters. I don't want to look like a cis man, I don't want to have any kind of facial hair or a bulge or anything else people would identify as typically '100% male traits.' I wanna be seen as a guy in the way cartoon characters are. Their art styles are vague/simplistic enough people can't look for those 'distinctly male traits' most of the time. A lot of fictional characters are younger, so most fictional men probably are going to be clean-shaven, and especially in animation they'll likely have some sort of baggy clothes to give them a more simplified figure, which takes away the opportunity for people to identify a 'male body.' But ultimately most people can still guess it's probably a guy. Even if it's vague or unclear and doesn't adhere to most societal standards for masculine features.
(More pictures of animated guys to show my point)
If people see me and question if I'm a guy or not, I'm okay with that, in a non-binary sense, but I certainly don't want people to look at me and believe I'm a woman.
Sorry for the long rambling. Maybe I could've made this more concise, but I think I'm happy letting myself ramble to make sure I get my point across. Hope this educated at least somebody about the complexities of gender and why someone would identify with a label like this one.
I made these a while ago, but I'm still proud of them so I figured I'd share!
(And yes, he is inspired by Ralsei's chapter 1 design lol. That's probably pretty clear with the bow on the back of the hat giving a similar silhouette, though. Which was part of my intention.)
Basically my main idea for him is that he'd be a pacifist struggling with the fact that there is no way to make pacifism work under the war’s circumstances. He knows he has no choice but to fight in self-defense, to protect himself and his friends, but he still feels some sort of regret for it.
Here's some further refs for his outfit pieces. Everything is flat-colored, so there's no shading on these to make it confusing what's shaded and what's part of the fabric pattern.
I really should honestly. I really appreciate anyone even being interested. Part of the problem is how much fucking lore I'd want to explain which is. a lot. lol. but i do want to, yeah. lemme check if there's some art i've done lately that i'd be able to show..
was looking up pride flags and noticed on the wiki there's a few alt transmasc flags, but no alt transfem flags listed and that kinda made me sad. So, here's a potential alt design with explanations:
(Transmasc flag to the left, Transfem flag to the right)
I figured in reflecting the trans umbrella pride flag it would be best to colorpick from there, so the bottom colors are the blue and pinks it uses. The purple, like other alt trans umbrella flags I've seen, is to represent the intersections, the 'transition' from the blue to the pink, as well as the identities that may lie inbetween masc and fem, while still being more aligned with the colors each flag more prominently presents.
The blues and pinks get more saturated and dark in the center, representing the fluidity within masculine and feminine identities. With the trans-flag-colorpicked baby blue and baby pink in the center, representing 'baby transmascs/transfems' AND identities that fall closer to the androgynous end of masculinity/femininity, therefore closer to the spectrum between masc and fem. The more dark, solid colors in the center are representative of transmascs/transfems who find their identities leaning closer to the binary, binary trans men and trans women.
I'd like to think I designed these flags in a way that accounts for the spectrum between them! I hope people enjoy them.
Okay. I had some issues with Miku's V6 design, some suspicions on the way details were drawn, that it was likely drawn by a man who objectifies women. I was right. Let's rip the bandaid off with the worst:
So, uh, what is this character's canon age, that he decided to change her canon body type and the team skull uniform to show cleavage for?
Yeah that's just straight up sexualizing an 11 year old character. Even the original team skull uniform, even with the mask covering her chest pushed aside, does not show cleavage.
Edit because some idiots wanna claim Lillie is just 'aged up' and 'went through puberty' here (even though LAM's post has nothing indicating that) - If I remember right, Nebby (the pokemon next to her in the art) evolves at the end of the game, so this HAS to be before Nebby evolves timeline-wise (since even if she was 'evil' Nebby would get XP and whatnot)
Even if that wasn't the case, team skull disbanded by the end of the game (when Lillie was still 11 years old) so an aged-up Lillie COULDN'T have joined Team Skull because they wouldn't exist at that time.
This HAS to be roughly-11-year-old-Lillie being drawn with cleavage here.
This is not the only time this artist has made.. questionable design choices when drawing women.
I'm not cherrypicking by the way. This is the majority of the art on his social medias. For comparison, here's how he draws men:
Men get dynamic lighting, intense shading, dynamic poses, lots of detail with no sign of sexualization, and the women standing next to them.. get minimal shading and intense makeup. Definitely not suspicious at all.
(seriously why does the guy on the left have so much more detail in his jacket and belt's shading than the shading on the clothes of the woman in the center?)
So yeah I'm pretty confident in saying he was showing even more of this creep behavior when drawing Miku V6's ref sheet like this.
(Seriously, why the hell is her waist so tiny and her skirt so uplifted..)
