aside from general ambient misogyny that more or less mirrors real life, is there any canon indication that goetia/royalty are more institutionally patriarchal and sexist than the rest of hell?

bc I often see certain people act as though it's a canon fact and therefore proof that stella couldn't possibly be abusive (which isn't how that works but anyway!)

but like. almost half of the sins are female and we're never shown any reason to believe this is controversial, nor are we given any indication that octavia being stolas's heir is contentious because of her gender. yes of course in real life this wouldn't be proof of anything, but this is a work of fiction and if the intended reading was that goetia/royals are even more super duper sexist than everyone else, we would be given storytelling cues indicating as such

feels significant to me that one of the only times we've seen Via and Stella directly interacting, it's Stella taking Via's phone away and Via not even trying to take it back

in comparison, Via isn't at ALL scared to sass and shout at Stolas. that's a kid that's 100% confident that their parent isn't going to retaliate at all (in fact I get the vibe she might prefer if he did yell back, but that's another topic). if Stolas tried to take her phone, I am 100% confident she wouldn't take it lying down

I don't think Stella has ever gotten physical with Via, but I do think Via has internalised that she can't talk back to her like she could with Stolas
