which got me thinking that imo an underrated part of octavia's perspective on stolitz is that almost every time she's seen them together (basically every time except seeing stars i think), blitz has seemed openly hostile to stolas, or she's seen her dad being miserable because of him

so as far as via knows, by the time mastermind happens her dad has been in a total depressive funk, and the one thing that snaps him out of it is him going out to kill himself to save a guy that seems to hate him, who is also the literal reason her dad depressed in the first place

not to clock him too hard or anything on a saturday night but i do think when blitz says stolas gets off on being fucked by someone he looks down on he’s projecting just a little lol. which is to say i think in some manner or another blitz very much enjoyed the part of their dynamic where he got to dominate someone he sees as looking down on him. and i’m not moralizing this to be clear. in the words of the pervert ethnography island guys: who among us has a sexual imaginary that one could look upon and say “yeah, that seems really well-adjusted and normal”. i think sexualizing bossing around upper class rich bitches is beautiful in a way. just something to think about…

Endlessly funny Millie character trait is she genuinely likes Blitz not in spite of but because of his personality.

This sounds normal until you examine the specific scenarios in which you can see her experiencing that affection:

The most normal thing is she's a huge silent proponent of the cosplaying and other fucking around on the job.

But it's also pretty clear she sees zero need to set more boundaries about her boss's attempted involvement with her sex life and finds the pre-development dynamic harmlessly funny.

ZERO relief in her face when he said he was done with that, just pure concern. It was all just rolling right off of her.

Like not even Stolas at his most down bad is actively into most of this, being more about being uniquely able to notice Blitz has positive character traits IN ADDITION TO his freak shit. Millie full stop enjoys even Blitz's most extreme nonsense as long as it doesn't have major material consequences. He brightens up her life the way you or I might respond to seeing an unexpected clump of daisies. She's insane. In conclusion:

Blitz doesn't have a lot of boundaries with her marriage; and she's ok with that; so of course she's going tease him back about his relationship with Stolas.

This is what makes Blitzø’s development in that direction to weight way more. He wasn’t being pushed to change by her.

Is something he realized he did to compensate his traumas and that wasn’t really healthy overall.

I think the reason why Millie doesn’t bother by this is because this is HOW much she trusts and loves him. She sees Blitzø as part of her nuclear family, so she found that as a game between them.

I find interesting that Millie that always looks like the “put together” one is going to freak out a bit when Blitzø changes further. She already did when Blitzø didn’t want to kill that family in sinmas.

Guys help I am once again thinking about how Blitz truly believes he is the most worthless creature in hell, both emotionally (because he was scapegoated, abused, and he's been traumatised, jaded, and made to believe he ruins people's lives) and structurally (he's an imp, mortal, small, inconsequential).

And because of this, he spent two seasons agonising over his feelings for Stolas. Dismissing them, trying to stomp them out, hating himself for them, for wanting something he could never have. Telling himself he'd never be good enough for someone as big and powerful and cosmologically meaningful as Stolas. Convinced that all he could ever be for Stolas was a sex toy, and that Stolas deserved so much more than Blitz—by nature—could ever be.

... And meanwhile, from day one, Stolas thought incredibly highly of Blitz. He thought of Blitz as the most marvelous, amazing, admirable person he'd ever met. Someone who's affection it'd be a true honour to earn.

It just kills me a little that Blitz thinks he brings darkness and fire and pain to people's lives, that he's nothing but grime, that Stolas is a star of his own whose light could crush Blitz if Stolas wanted.

And in reality he is the light in Stolas' life. He is the beacon Stolas follows. He is the key to the door of Stolas' cage.

And what's truly heartbreaking is that when Blitz hit the kind of absolute rock bottom that allowed him to bare his heart to Stolas and admit that he can't understand why Stolas would want to be with him, Stolas was not in a mental state to give him a genuine, vulnerable reply.

So Blitz got hit with (what he perceived as) "I'm lonely and I want someone, anyone's love" which of course fueled the fire of his self-hatred because in his mind anyone would be better for Stolas than him.

I feel like the fandom slowly gas light themselfs and the writers into think Stolitz is more toxic then it ever actually was. Like there are problems doesn't get me wrong but at no point does Stolas try to make Blitz uncomfortable on perpous. Does he yes is it intentional no.

First off in the orginal pilot the whole point is that Bliz has very sugessfully seduced this princess. Stolas is being horny as hell for him becuse Blitz had initiated. Now Blitz was fakeing enthusiasm sure but that is hardly Stolas fault. Yes to strong but like from his perspective they had established a explicitly sexual relationship and was acting accordingly. Of corse that is all retconned now but fuck.

We have Stolas makeing degreateing coments which is a problem and the show sees it that way. The problem isn't with there arrangement it is with him being low key classest which mind you is a normal plot point in royal/pesent romances. Like stright people have this plot point all the time. Oh my god this plot point is litterly in Merlin do y'all rember BBC's Merlin.

Stolas is constantly more sexually forward yes but only because Blitz Started a sexual relationship and Stolas has never had consensual sex befor he met Blitz. He doesn't know what is and isn't ok he's fumbling like a teenager in there first relationship becuase he's never dated.

If anything the fact that Blitz is litterly doing sex work for Stolas as he is developing feelings is the problem. A problem that Stolas fixs.
