HISTORY:

Gemma’s parents had her at a very young age and tried their best to care for the young wolf, but ultimately fell short. For the majority of her young life, Gemma was left to fend for herself as her parents were working non-stop just to be able to keep a roof over their head. With Gemma being left to her own devices, she often got herself into trouble, especially when her rage got the better of her. One day when the young untriggered wolf was wandering around the city, a figure came up from behind her and grabbed her, covering her mouth so she couldn’t scream and she was never taught to defend herself; so her attempts were futile.

The longer Gemma spent in the house of her kidnappers, the more she came to terms that this was where she was going to die. She would never have a real family, never fall in love, never have anything that a person should have. More and more children were brought into the house, some as young as toddlers, and Gemma knew she had to do something. She didn't want to die. She still had a whole life she wanted to live. She was too small to fight back so there was only one idea left.

While the guards were distracted, Gemma started a small fire that quickly spread before her captors were able to get it under control. It was then that the older kids that had been taken enacted the plan that they had curated over the previous days to get all the kids out. During their escapte, Gemma had been grabbed by one of the captors and she managed to remove herself from their grasp and push them into the fire. So not only was it the night that she was saved and her life could truly begin, but it was the night that she triggered her wolf gene.

Hearing of the lot of supernatural children that were taken, the Salvatore School stepped in and took in the ones that didn't have their parents collect them to keep them safe and learn more of their supernatural nature. There, Gemma met Nathan Kenner and the two would become inseparable, arguing like brother and sister, but would defend the other to the death if need be. Since Gemma's parents clearly weren't coming back for her, Gemma began going home with Nate on school breaks for some semblance of "family time". It was during breaks in New Orleans that Gemma met and formed a connection with Freya and Keelin. Over the years, their connection only grew and eventually the pair adopted Gemma and she finally felt as if she belonged with people.

On the night of her 18th birthday, Gemma just wanted one night to run around in her wolf form instead of getting locked up for the night. She had spent her whole life feeling trapped and she just wanted one night of freedom. Little did she know that there was a crowd of hunters roaming the woods, waiting for any opportunity to attack on the full moon. Luckily, she had asked Nathan to cover for her. Though he wasn’t able to prevent the attack, he was able to save her and fight off the hunters. Unknown to Gemma, Nathan had stolen a vial of vampire blood from the school and fed it to the wolf, hoping that it would heal her as he brought her back to the school. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries in their travels, waking up in transition as a hybrid, the blood given to her being Hope Mikaelson’s.

Gemma went to college with Nathan, unwilling to leave his side. When she came home on a break, she was ambushed by a group of witches and tortured, wanting to have some fun with her before she was sacrificed and sent to the prison world. Right before she was sent, she learned of the reason. The witches wanted to get back at Freya for not following them and the best way to do that was to attack her family, starting with her children.

HISTORY:

Gemma’s parents had her at a very young age and tried their best to care for the young wolf, but ultimately fell short. She grew up to be independent, maybe growing up a little too fast.

* . ⊹  THE TRAUMA:

When Gemma was only 13, tragedy struck and it was a day that would change her and her outlook on life forever. It started off as any normal day, but quickly took a turn for the worst when her parents were brutally murdered right in front of her. The intruder believed it to be just adults in the house, but when she came out of her room wondering what was going on, she saw the whole thing and they turned on her. But their plan was much more sinister for the young teen and everything went black.

When she came to, she was locked in a dark, nondescript room. And in that room, in that house was where she would stay for the better part of two years. She was provided food and water, she was let out of her room occasionally. There were even a handful of times that she was allowed to leave the house. But it was always under supervision and she always had to wear some sort of hat and glasses. By the end of the first year, she knew better than to act out; she had learned the consequences.

While she wasn't acting out as much, she was slowly and calculatingly coming up with a plan of escape. Her werewolf temper created a fire within her that was only fueled with each passing day. At the age of 15, she had enacted her plan of revenge, waiting for a moment that her captors' guard was down on one of her days out of confinement. It wasn't without a fight, but she wasn't about to let a year worth of planning go to waste. She triggered her curse while escaping, but she escaped nonetheless.

Found wandering the streets, someone noticed her as a missing person, called the authorities and she was taken to the hospital. This was were she met Keelin and formed an immediate bond (think Vanessa Morano's character and Meredith Grey in that one episode of Grey's). She was lucky that Keelin and Freya were willing to take her in and eventually adopt her when she needed safety and comfort the most.

* . ⊹  THE HEALING AND THE TRANSITION

The next few years took a lot of work, but Gemma eventually learned to cope with her trauma, learned to control her werewolf side with the help of Keelin. She would never be the person that she was before, but she was okay with that. She took the time to heal what was needed, bond with her new family, and figure out who she was as a new person.

One weekend she and Hope went out on a girls' weekend to just get away for a while. But, now being a Mikaelson, nothing could ever be easy. The pair were ambushed by a group of hunters who claimed to be part of a "movement". A movement that would eventually become the OEA. The pair put up one hell of a fight as they had been taught to. But they were no match for the wolfsbane laced bullets and arrows coming from every which direction. While Hope had managed to take down most hunters, forcing the others to retreat at the power of the tribrid, Gemma had gotten hit with a couple bullets, the shrapnel getting lodged in her heart. There was no way she was going to make it to any semblance of help before it was too late. In that moment, Hope knew was she had to do and fed Gemma her blood just before her heart had stopped. And just moments later, she was successfully in transition.

* . ⊹  THE BETAYAL

Coming from the family of vampires, Gemma had no problem with her transition. She had plenty of people with plenty of experience around that she could lean on. But the party wasn't quite over.

A few years later, when Gemma was coming home, she was ambushed by a group of witches and tortured, wanting to have some fun with her before she was sacrificed and sent to the prison world. Right before she was sent, she learned of the reason. The witches wanted to get back at Freya for not following them and the best way to do that was to attack her family, starting with her children.

After everyone was released from the prison world, Gemma took some time to get acclimated to real life again. In this time, she learned of the passing of her biological grandmother. She had been absent her entire life, the hybrid had never met her. But she still had her Gemma's biological mother listed in her will. Being the next of kin, that money went to Gemma.

Having a large sum of money in her pocket was burning a hole in her pocket and the last thing she wanted to do was stay in New Orleans with everything that was going on. So she took that money and spent a year traveling to wherever her little heart desired. Though she kept in touch with the important people, she was more or less a stranger to the rest of the world.

With her Roxy being on tour with Sebastian, Jagger, and Riley, Gemma would often meet up with them whenever she could under the guise of wanting to support Riley. But it was undeniable that when Jagger was on stage, she couldn't look away, a smile plastered to her face until the last round of applause. Their meetings usually ended with the pair getting a little two close, falling into some old habits, and a few hook ups here and there. But each time Gemma found herself falling under his spell, she knew it was time for another trip, separating herself from the group. Yet she kept coming back, his magnetic pull with her undeniable.

With funds running lower than Gemma would like and the promises off free drinks at the ball, Gemma made her way back to New Orleans, slightly nervous to see what she was coming back to.

Avery and her siblings grew up in New Orleans in a prominent coven. Their parents weren't the most prominent or influential. But they were among the most loyal. Everything they did, every choice they made was with the coven at heart. Their parents taught the children at a very young age to hone in on their powers and wanted them to move up within the coven and remain loyal.

Avery followed in her parents footsteps, learning complex spells at a very young age and eventually wanted to move up into a position of power within the coven. This was until she met a boy at school and the two became fast friends. The two were pretty inseparable. It wasn’t until later that she found out that his family were members of the opposing coven. This didn’t change how Avery viewed him; she knew him outside of the coven rivalry. But it did change how their parents viewed the other. The pair were no longer able to spend time at each others houses, only being able to see each other at school and extracurriculars.

The pair tried not to let it affect them, remaining great friends for a few years; Avery even developed a crush over time, convincing herself that at some point, they could be together. But over the years, the boy got more involved with his coven and let his parents influence him, naturally pulling him away from Avery. But she didn't give up hope. Even after going away to Duke for college, she still held out hope that eventually they would come back to each other and he would realize that she was what he needed all along.

That was until she met Ryker. He was just some guy in a bar. At first, that is. The two instantly hit it off and started w whirlwind fling that only lasted a short while until his was reassigned and quickly left. The pair promised not to lose touch, but long distance would never be the same. Though their romance was short lived, he had forever changed her life for the better. He finally showed her what she had been missing: a man who chose her, who wanted her. He helped her realize her worth, helped her realize that she deserved a man who would put her first. From that first day she met him, she would never let another man treat her as lesser.

Once Ryker was gone, Avery picked herself up and moved on with a newfound confidence. She graduated with a Masters in Business and eventually moved home and opened her own small coffee shop that she had since worked on expanding to neighboring towns. But what she couldn't have predicted was meeting Ryker again. She then knew that it was fate. The pair were meant to be together. And she wouldn't let him go again so easily.

However, their happily ever ever was not meant to last as Ryker's life was taken just before Avery learned of her pregnancy with their first child. Avery lost her entire sense of self when she learned of Ryker's death, leaning heavily on her siblings and best friend/business partner, the only family who had stuck by her side. This was especially so after the birth of her son.

Avery hadn't handled her husband coming back into her life from the dead and seemingly instantly moving on as well as she thought she would. She had built up an idea in her mind of what her life would be if they got a second chance. that to get that ripped away was like losing him all over again.

Despite her heartache, she prioritized their healthy co-parenting relationship. Seeing him and hearing about the other girl may have hurt more than anything, but she knew that the most important thing was for her son to have a relationship with his father and for them to give their son the best life that they possibly could.

After a couple months, Avery knew that she couldn't go on like this. She was essentially a shell of herself, very reminiscent of when Ryker had first died. Eventually she pulled herself up by her bootstraps and out of her funk. The first step of the process was to change her name back to her maiden name to try and find a new sense of self outside of her failed marriage.

She began going to therapy, something she probably should have done a LONG time ago. There, she met Asher Simmons as they were coming out of their respective appointments and became sort of “therapy buddies” and began helping each other out with their progress.

Avery has also dived right back into her work and is currently working on expanding the cafe and creating a performance space for small acoustic sets for smaller artists

Though she’s been working on healing, she may not be making all the best choices. One of those choices being her involvement with a certain athlete turned model. The two are far from serious and far from public; she is well aware of his marriage and is just treating it as something fun while her son is off with his father. For now, that is. We’ll see how long it takes for her to catch feelings.

Growing up, Aria was always a mama's girl. She followed her mother around everywhere, wanting to do exactly what she was. Despite how much her mother tried to shield the children from the truth about their parents' marriage, Aria knew that something wasn't quite right. They didn't act like the other parents in school. But she didn't much care as long as her mother was safe and happy.

Aria's life fell apart when she was 11 and she was sent to live with her Aunt Sierra in New Orleans under the guise that her mother was "sick". Aria didn't go without a fight, not wanting to leave her mothers side, especially if she was sick. But she was promised that Nic would come back once she got better.

This started Aria's rebellious phase. She thought that if she got in enough trouble, her mom would have to come back for her. That thought only last a few months until she learned of her mother's passing. Since that day, Aria became a shell of the happy child that she once was. Growing up along side her cousin Nate, the two bonded and began getting into trouble together, causing problems wherever they went.

Aria didn't build close connections with too many people throughout her life. The only super close connection that she had as a child was with her mother and that was ripped away from her. The few connections she made throughout her life, she will protect them with everything she has, unwilling to go through the pain she felt at such a young age again.

Aria has been working on a lot of healing…. in her own way. She couldn’t deny her feelings for Blossom any longer, but she couldn’t bring herself to fully commit when she was angry all the time at everyone around her. That wasn’t fair to the little ball of personal sunshine she had.

Aria has been slowly working toward a relationship with Ryker. Finding out that he was her dad so late in life and then not telling him until after his resurrection, she can’t just fall right into a father/daughter relationship. Especially after how the last parent/daughter relationships had ended and the fact that he already died once. But she is trying. And that’s the most important part.

Aria has moved on from her job at Viper. But her skills have not gone to waste. She is now the bar manager at Rooftop Gardens, the rooftop bar in the city. She fell in love with the chill vibes. She obviously still gets the occasional creepy guy, but it is nice not to get ogled every chance they get.

The start to Aria and Blossom’s relationship was far from conventional. There was no big to do. The pair simply continued on as they were, growing closer with each day. Until one day in conversation, Aria referred to Blossom as her girlfriend. And the rest is history.

She honestly has never been happier. But, while Blossom’s perkiness and optimism has rubbed off, her “glass half empty” personality is still there and a small part of her is waiting for the shoe to drop.

Sierra grew up the baby of the Kenner siblings and was naturally very close with her siblings as they only had each other while their parents were victims of the Crescent Curse.  Being rather observant, even as a little girl, she could tell that the stress of raising their siblings was taking on the eldest Kenners and tried to be as independent as she could for how young she was. This caused the young Kenner to be much more mature than most her age.

Her maturity came to her advantage when her older sister triggered her curse and was forced to live day in and day out as a wolf. Sierra quickly stepped in, taking a break from her studies, and began raising her sister's children at the age of 15. During this time, she fell head over heels with an older boy at school and the two were nearly inseparable. Just a year into their relationship, Sierra became pregnant with a child of her own and he was raised alongside their cousin for a year until the Crescent Curse was broken. 

Feeling a lack in her life after getting so used to raising multiple children for two years, Sierra threw herself into raising her son, her relationship, and her studies to make up for the lost time and graduated only a year late. The child's father had a small gradation celebration for Sierra to celebrate the hard work she put into catching up on two years of academics within a year while raising a toddler. During the celebration, he proposed and Sierra was over the moon.

Unfortunately, the pair never got their happily ever after as just a year after the proposal, her fiancé lost his life, leaving Sierra to raise the now three year old completely on her own. Sierra had been through so much over the course of just a few years that the death of her fiancé absolutely broke her. She knew that she needed to get away from the constant reminders of what could have been, but she couldn’t go too far and completely leave her niece and nephew. Instead, she went to LSU, just about an hour away to study Journalism and worked her way through college. Being a single mother away from home and putting herself was certainly no walk in the park. But the more that she had to distract her from her grieving process, the better.

Eventually, Sierra plucked up the courage to move back to New Orleans. Her child was her world and she absolutely loved the close relationship the two had. However, she knew that some of the best parts of her childhood came from being around family and wanted that for her child. After the death of her fiancé, Sierra didn’t date much. She dated a a few men , but never got super close with them and never introduced them to Maddox as her boyfriend. She never wanted her child to think that she was trying to replace his father. 

It wasn't until many years later than Sierra had found someone who she fell head over heels for, despite her resistance.

Sierra and Dex finally tied the knot, planning a small wedding in a matter of a couple of months before Isla was off on another trip.

Journalism and reporting was her passion, despite quitting her anchor job after being targeted by the OEA. After much debate, Sierra decided to start her own online news system, very buzzfeed-esque. Or that is the ultimate goal. She went around to all the local business owners and her different news connections to pick their brain and gain best practices. This was how she met and befriended Xavier Langthorne, who has been a great help in getting her company off the ground.

The company is still in very early stages so she is continuing to grow, doing most of the work between herself and a couple freelance workers. She has also enlisted the help of her daughter and nephew with the use of their photography skills

Just when Sierra thought her life was on track, the marital bliss was very short lived when her husband joined the ranks of the very organization that had gone after her. This caused a major rift between the two. Sierra couldn’t see how he could even think of siding with those people, even after everything they’d said publicly. She didn’t believe it for a moment.

Still having her young daughter to think about, she and Dex, though not on the best terms, continue to live together, in separate rooms. Though she doesn’t agree with his choices, she still loves him to the end of the earth and hopes they can come out together and stronger in the end.

From a young age, Jordyn was trained to hunt with the expectation that she would go on her first hunt the minute she was old enough. She followed in her family’s footsteps though she wasn’t as into it mentally as the rest of the Simmons; but she did what was expected of her and was successful on multiple occasions.

When Jordyn was a teenager, her parents moved their family to New Orleans to be in what was known as the supernatural epicenter in the hunting world. It was in there that she met Oliver Reine. From the moment she laid eyes on the blonde, she was hooked; the two hit it off right away. It wasn’t long until she learned of his destiny to become a werewolf. From that moment on, hunting felt wrong. It felt like she was betraying the person she cared for most. But she felt like she had to continue for fear of being disowned by her parents. The two continued to see each other in secret for years.

It wasn't until Jordyn became pregnant with her oldest daughter that she knew it was time to confess and leave the hunting business. She was quickly running out of excuses as to how the werewolves continued to evade the attacks from her family. The revelation of her secret relationship harbored the exact result that Jordyn feared as her parents completely cut her off from the family, with the exception of her brothers who were old enough to make their own choices.

Jordyn continued to lead her happy life, getting married and having two more children with Oliver; but of course it was short lived. As the elder of the hunters faction died, jordyn's father rose to power and made a deal with the witches helping the OEA: sacrifice the daughter he had long ago disowned. The first thing he had said to his daughter in over a decade was to present her with a bargain: join them on their hunting trip, the very werewolf pack that Oliver had left as their target. Despite the differences Oliver had with his former pack, his mother and the rest of his family was still involved. Jordyn would rather be sacrificed than take the life of her own mother-in-law.

Jordyn has really been working on moving on from her trauma from the past few years and making something of herself. Before the prison world, she spent most of her time growing her family. She is happy with her 3 kids and the family that she and Oliver have created. So now it is time to work on her career.

The first of Jordyn's goal to be checked off was becoming a lieutenant within the fire department. This was one of her biggest goals when first becoming a firefighter. She doesn't need to be chief or go any higher. But just holding a slight position of power was enough for her.

Once made lieutenant, she wanted to leave some sort of legacy within the department. Something that could continue to run for years to come. Something to help the community. Her first order of business was to collaborate with Theodore Kenner and the New Orleans Police Department and start a self defense class. The goal was to get it completely funded by the city and free to join for the basics. She wanted anyone and everyone to be able to learn some sort of self defense if they chose.

Once the self defense workshop was up and running, along with the help of her sister-in-law, Lorelai, Jordyn created a first aid/CPR class for to teach basic first aid to the general public. The goal with this program is to eventually partner with the local hospital and create a regular clinic for the under or uninsured to get the basic medical care they need

With everything she's overseeing, Jordyn has been a busy woman. In her free time, she's continuing to build her relationship with her children and her husband. With Asher coming to work at the fire station as well, she's started rebuilding her relationship with him, the pair becoming closer than they have been in a long time. With her younger sister still siding with the OEA, she doesn't see that relationship being rebuilt any time soon, but will never completely give up hope. She continues to look out for her from afar, hoping that some day the pair can reconcile.

Wesley had been the one to find her after Homer had already fled, staging the home to look like an invasion. In an attempt to save her, he had given her some of his blood and promised to help her through her transition, but he had been too late. Clara succumbed to her injuries.

Since being returned, Clara hadn't known that either of her brothers were in the area. She had found a nice family who had taken her in and began to get her accustomed to life in the 21st century. Sloane was born the youngest of the family and the only child from both of her parents’ second marriages.

Sloane had a fairly normal childhood, with the exception of her dad disappearing once a month under the guise of having to work late. Being a daddy’s girl, Sloane tried to stay up and wait for him, but he wouldn’t come home until the next day.

It wasn’t until she heard things being set out on the coffee table that she lifted her eyes from the floor to the person next to her, assuming it would be Wesley. Much to her surprise, Cassian was setting out all of Winter’s favorite snacks and set a soda in front of her before moving to the TV to pop a DVD into the player. Winter sat up slowly and crossed her legs under her as she watched her brother with a small amount of confusion. 

As The Princess Diaries began to play, a faint smile spread across the witches lips as she turned toward her brother who was now sat at the other end of the couch with his arms crossed. Feeling her eyes on him, he turned his head to her, giving her a smile in return before his features returned to their usual brooding nature as he turned to face the television again.

It was in that moment that she grew to truly love her brother and see the good in him that he seemed to hide away from everyone else. And in that moment, she knew that the feeling was mutual.

Jordyn’s parents, wanting to be in what had been described in the hunting world as a supernatural epicenter, moved their family to New Orleans. As the typical teen, Jordyn wanted nothing to do with the move. She made her friends in her hometown, she had her groups, extracurriculars, and connections. The last thing she wanted to do was leave them. Yet there she was at a new school, completely lost, knowing absolutely no one but her brothers. 

After a meeting in the front office, Jordyn was escorted to her first classroom. She wasn’t exactly shy as a teen, but she couldn’t help but shrink slightly at all of the eyes on her as she walked the hallways. You would have thought the kids had never seen a new student before. She reached the classroom just as the bell rang and her escort spoke to her teacher. 

“Everyone” the teacher announced, shushing the group of teens that were chatting amongst themselves. “Welcome our new student. This is Jordyn; she just moved here from Atlanta.” Jordyn gave the class a small smile and wave and in response got a few eye rolls and mutters of completely uninterested students. “Jordyn, you can have a seat right over there next to Oliver. Oliver, raise you hand.” Jordyn looked around the classroom, waiting for a hand to be raised, pressing her lips together and turning her attention back to the teacher when there was no clue as to where this seat was. “Oliver Reine, you and Jackson will have plenty of time after class to do.... whatever it is you’re doing over there. Raise your hand and pay attention.” 

Jordyn nodded as she watched a hand shoot up in the air as two boys shifted in their seats to face the front. “Thank you.” she muttered to the teacher before making her way over to her desk. Hooking her backpack on the back of the chair, she took the seat, giving the blonde next to her a smile and a soft “hey”, expecting nothing from it. But the smile that was returned lit Jordyn’s world on fire. For a moment, it was like the entire class around them had disappeared and it was just the two of them as she gazed at the crooked smile. She could feel the heat rise to her cheeks before she was snapped back into reality as the teacher started class. She cleared her throat softly and turned her attention to the front of the class, trying her hardest to pay attention. But she couldn’t help but steal the occasional glance over and it seemed neither could he as their eyes met more than a few times.

Jordyn would have never guessed where her life would have led her from that moment on. But one thing was for certain. She would be forever grateful to her parents for moving the family to New Orleans.

The beginning of Jordyn’s life was a bit complicated to say the least. Jordyn’s mom had just split from her hunting partner, who she already had one child with, and started a fling with a younger man that resulted in her pregnancy with Jordyn. The younger man, wanting nothing to do with a child, left her mother to care for her alone. Over the next few years, Jordyn’s mother eventually reconnected with her old hunting partner for a few missions and eventually they rekindled their romance, had another child, and he officially adopted and raised Jordyn as one of their own children

From a young age, Jordyn was trained to hunt with the expectation that she would go on her first hunt the minute she turned 18. She followed in her family’s footsteps though she wasn’t as into it mentally as the rest of the Simmons; but she did what was expected of her and was successful on multiple occasions.

When Jordyn was a teenager, her parents moved their family to New Orleans to be in what was known as the supernatural epicenter in the hunting world. As the typical teen, Jordyn wanted nothing to do with the move. She made her friends in her hometown, she had her groups, extracurriculars, and connections. The last thing she wanted to do was leave them. It was in New Orleans that she met Oliver Reine and Jackson Kenner. From the moment she laid eyes on the blonde, she was hooked; the two hit it off right away. It wasn’t long until she learned of his relation to the Crescents and, though he wasn’t triggered yet, his destiny to become a werewolf. From that moment on, hunting felt wrong. It felt like she was betraying the person she cared for most. But she felt like she had to continue for fear of being disowned by her parents.

Years into their relationship, after Jordyn had gotten pregnant with Oliver’s child and he had proposed, she denounced the life of the hunter, uncaring of what her family thought. For the rest of her life, she would fight for her child, for the unlikely family that she created with the werewolf. The two were happy with their baby, falling into the roles of mother and father very easily. It wasn’t until one fateful night when the baby, who had been crying all night had suddenly stopped crying for reasons unbeknownst to the two parents. Despite rushing the child to the hospital the moment they had noticed something was wrong, the baby did not make it through the night.

This devastated the parents to no end; it only became worse when Oliver triggered his curse and fell victim to the Crescent Curse, destined to spent his days as a werewolf with the exception of one night a month. This left Jordyn to process the death of her child completely alone. All she got was one night a month with the love of her life and she was left to pick up the pieces of her life by herself.

One full moon, Jordyn was unaware that there were a group of hunters staked out in the bayou, knowing the Crescent wolves would be at their most vulnerable. It was that fateful night that Jordyn had lost her life, being mistaken for a Crescent wolf as she was attacked by a hunter. The last thing she saw was a familiar face, apologizing profusely and begging her to stay with them (wanted connection - a family member? a family friend?)
