8 of Cups + 9 of Pentacles:

You're leaving behind that which no longer serves you and looking forward instead to a time of independence and the chance to enjoy a well-earned break.

The Cups are stacked neatly and prettily on the tombs of those who came before and you've realized that, although that's what others may prize, it just isn't for you. You may have even once wanted it just as much as everyone else and others may think you're being ungrateful to walk away from it, but the heart wants what the heart wants, and the yearning has grown too loud to ignore.

This is beautifully paired with the 9 of Pentacles; a card of stability, domestic comforts, independence, and accomplishments.

If you're thinking about careers, this looks like leave one job to either enjoy a long vacation with the money you socked away or to start your own business. A business in luxury services or products may be a good fit. You're clientele should be other people who also appreciate the finer things.

For romance, this is leaving what could be considered a good relationship but you're just incompatible. It's possible they were overly affectionate or needy and it turned you off. The suggestion here is that you should stay single for a while and enjoy the peace and tranquility before jumping back into dating. You could be single for a long time, and you might discover it actually suits you.

10 of pentacles:

The 10 of Pentacles being the last of it's suit is rife with symbolism of family, luxury, abundance, and legacy, many of the things we all seek and find comfort or security in.

This card shows there is abundance to be had now, but also that it's roots are deep and it's branches spread wide and into the future.

If you were looking to start a project in career or business today, make sure to channel that energy and focus on the qualities or methods that make something stand the test of time and to focus more on long-term than quick gains.

For the family-oriented, this card reminds us of where we come from and where we are going. What do we owe our elders and what can we offer the next generation after us? Tradition. Stability. Wisdom. And the best start in life if possible. Find where you can honor your family and give joyfully.

If money or finances are your chief concern, this card is a nice one to quell those worries. The aspect of family and legacy ties nicely into possible inheritence or a project you've been putting a lot of work into for a long while finally paying off.

If your finances are tight these days, don't ignore the possibility of relying on family (found and born) to keep you safe and give you a little of something solid to stand on while you pick yourself back up.

Wheel of Fortune + The World + 3 of Swords (R):

The Wheel of Fortune and The World are powerful together and point to a major change in fortune and that something is finally coming to a complete close for the good.

The Wheel of Fortune is a sign of cycles and shifts in luck. Life is a gamble of sorts and the wheel reminds us to make hay while the sun shines because it won't last forever. Before you know it there will be winter again so it's best to take advantage of any boon Lady Luck throws your way.

The World is the last Major Arcana card in the sequence of Tarot before the cycle starts back over again with The Fool. Paired here with the Wheel of Fortune makes me think you're about to skip the line towards something big for you and it's going to come as a relief, though you may want to keep that feeling to yourself for a time.

It's possible your win could come at the expense of someone else and to be too happy about it outwardly would be risky. Best to save your celebrations for when you're alone afterward.

4 of Swords (R) + The Emperor:

You've been struggling to keep up with your responsibilities. The energy is there as well as the motivation, but your mind keeps getting in the way. You're not being lazy because you for sure haven't enjoyed the time not working on it.

The block is all mental and has nothing to do with willpower. The trick in this is that the motivation you've been trying to channel has been outwardly focused. It's a common mistake to make here, because it seems to work so well for everyone else. You're motivation is unlocked more by internal factors.

Spend a little time today to think about your goals and check if they're in alignment with your personal values. This can get you over today's hump as well as making future decisions and struggles easier to spot and manage before you slip down into a spiral of self-doubt.

My first impression is there's been a new addition to the family recently and there have been big changes because of it. the traditional sleepless nights are felt but happily ignored. It's the price you pay for being blessed and big positive changes cause ripples throughout your life for good and bad.

Even if there isn't a new bundle of joy, the feeling is the same. There is a blessing in your home and things have changed around it for the better. Allow yourself time to rest as best as you can and don't force things back to normal too quickly. You'll find in the future you learn to value the trials as much as the blessing. Let the love flow and enjoy this moment for what it is.

There's a desire to get one's finances under control. The King of Pentacles isn't an impulsive type and is usually sure of stable finances, but there is something on your mind about it lately. You work a lot, but are hoping to try something new and hope your budget can allow for it.

This new thing may be a whim, but your nature makes it impossible to be impulsive and you've been crunching the numbers for some time already, so what's the hold-up? Is it simply out-of-character for you? Something entirely for pleasure or perhaps a little like a mid-life crisis?

It's going to be less about whether or not you CAN buy it as much as whether or not you can maintain it. Think instead about if you can afford to keep it in your life instead of just if you can afford it.

It looks like we're following from yesterday's reading and now get to see where the focus of The Hermit falls.

The Queen of Cups is a supportive and nurturing person who often puts the needs of others before her own. The Hermit tells us that your way forward now is to turn that loving care inward towards yourself. You must prioritize yourself for a time to grow into your next stage.

Considering where you've been up til now, this will likely feel quite foreign and possibly make you recoil and consider it selfish, but one cannot pour into others from an empty cup. You must seek solace and time alone for it to be refilled and in time when you return to the world, your gifts will be all the more potent for it.

Strength + 10 of Swords + The Hermit:

You're in a transition period in your life. Big things are changing for you and your old life is ending to make way for the next part of your journey.

You've been white-knuckling life up to this point and your instinct for survival has carried you all the way here. Now that part of your life is coming to a close and you are ready to embrace the next stage represented here by The Hermit.

The Hermit is self-reliant, meditative, and keeps his own counsel. People may find you distant for this period, but it isn't out of sadness or anger. The Hermit resides in the space we keep when we are reshuffling our priorities. We may emerge a very different person than when we went into the wilderness to find ourselves.

If Strength is about how we cope then The Hermit is about the discovering of who we are when we don't have to cope anymore. It will take as long as it needs to. People of any age can be entering this phase of their life for the first time. Put simply, a charismatic person invites you to a get-together and you predict you'll have a bad time.

Again, with feeling! It's probably only a bad time because you don't want to be there but just feel obligated to go.

'Tis the season of cookouts and pool parties and somebody is trying to drag you out of your shell a bit to have some fun. They're honest and they mean well, so maybe it won't be as bad as you think, especially if they're going to be there.

Besides, if you take your own transportation, you can leave whenever you want and scuttle back to your home-shell before the sun comes up. Win-win.

There's a message coming, if it hasn't already come, that is offering you a chance to show your abilities. This message is a time sensitive one and it may not seem like a big deal, but the implications are that it is incredibly in tune with your current journey and may greatly add to your well-being if handled properly.

Don't be brash in your response, but lead with caring and support to best show how reliable and prepared you are. This isn't the time to put yourself on a pedestal and show off, but instead to show a calm and helpful demeanor. You're battered an bruised with all life has thrown at you lately and you're wondering if it's all in vain. You could be thinking of giving up despite how far you've come. It's hard to see the truth of your situation through all those walls you've put up to protect yourself.

It's time to have a peek through your barricade and have a look at the battlefield beyond it. The view is different than you remembered back when this all started. It's changed...or you have? Time has a way of changing things.

Now there are new things to look upon, good and bad in equal measure, but which ones you reach for is up to you. No guarantees here though, only possibilities. You've changed so much and now you have the chance to choose a different path.

Life feels very chaotic for you lately and every time you turn around, it feels like you get hurt by something or someone. You're very vulnerable to other peoples comments right now because things aren't moving as fast as you'd hoped for you right now and it's making you feel anxious that they never will.

The cycle of life isn't known for going in reverse as much as it's know for being slow and consistent. What you hope for is coming, but it's on the slow train and testing your patience.

Beware taking unnecessary risks just to shake things up and instead focus on actions you can take that are in line with your major goals to help this wheel get spinning again.

Justice + 5 of Wands (reversed):

Things really want to work out for you, but you keep letting your temper get the best of you. It's a good thing you're in the right about your situation, but it doesn't do any good to alienate others from wanting to help. You stand to lose the support you had, even if it was moving slower than needed, with your outbursts.

Being right isn't enough when what you really need is others to believe it, too. It might be best to lay low for while and place your focus elsewhere as you let everything cool down.

When it comes up again, please for the love of all, don't make others regret trying to help. You might need a friend, or at lease a referee, on your side when this all comes to a head.

6 of Pentacles + Knight of Cups (reversed) + 10 of Pentacles (reversed):

I see a dynamic of someone giving and another waiting to receive. The Knight of Cups hopes to have his cup filled with some of the supposed generosity of the 6 of Pentacles character.

But this Knight doesn't look like a beggar? He seems so put-together from his polished armor to his patient demeanor as he waits in line... Is he really in need? How long has he been waiting? Is he wasting his time?

The 10 of Pentacles in reverse is indicative of a legacy of neglect. The Knight of Cups here is likely the figure from under the chess table in the 10 of Pentacles card, just fully grown and now well-armored to protect themselves, but emotionally, they're still under that table. A house built on somebody's back will inevitably fall when the foundation decides to stand up.
