Mistakes made with Tim Drake:

- Not making him middle class from the start

-Killing his mother off too soon instead of following through with the divorce storyline

-Killing his dad off early in a new dynamic

-Not acknowledging whether his mentally ill step mother lived or died when Bludhaven was nuked

-not exploring his relationship with Tam Fox (his best relationship)

What was not a mistake with Tim Drake:

-Making him Bi & breaking up with Steph to explore that

-Giving him and Damian a rivalry

-Making him Robin again after fans became less interested in him (it's brought his popularity back up)

-Killing off his parents

also wait what’s the canon age gap bt Damian and Tim now? Bc there’s a flashback of Bruce teaching Tim to drive and Damian fucking with Tim, but when Damian arrived in the 2008ish era Tim was like 17ish, no? And then there was the Batquest immediately after, which was like a year ish, maybe less maybe more, so in any scenario where Damian and Tim would be having these shenanigans without actively trying to kill each other, Tim would have to be at least 18, right? But he’s clearly being depicted as younger. And the cop in the police vehicle just called him “kid”, when he should be like 20-22 or smth.

Like I’m guessing there was a shakeup sometime around the most recent reboot but I didn’t track it, and now I’m lost. How old is Tim supposed to be here?

Reboot was soft retconned in 2015. Age gap appears to be the same(7 years), but DC is vague about it. Damian is 14, and Tim is in his early twenties (he owns a houseboat and lives there), he's just short and babyfaced still to keep the Robin aesthetic. You're right about his gains though. They sure do love twinkifying him. Most muscles I've seen on him in a while.
