40,000 years ago, early humans painted hands on the wall of a cave. This morning, my baby cousin began finger painting. All of recorded history happened between these two paintings of human hands. The Nazca Lines and the Mona Lisa. The first TransAtlantic flight and the first voyage to the Moon. Humanity invented the wheel, the telescope, and the nuclear bomb. We eradicated wild poliovirus types 2 and 3. We discovered radio waves, dinosaurs, and the laws of thermodynamics. Freedom Riders crossed the South. Hippies burned their draft cards. Countless genocides, scientific advancements, migrations, and rebellions. More than a hundred billion humans lived and died between these two paintings—one on a sheet of paper, and one on the inside of a cave. At the dawn of time, ancient humans stretched out their hands. And this morning, a child reached back.

Here is the first character that I'll be introducing. No, its not a frog. Name: Merry Olsen (No last name) Pronouns: She/Her Physical Appearance: Merry is a short haired blonde with blue eyes and glasses. She is 5'7 and uses formal clothes most of the time. Alignment: Lawful Neutral.

Merry was born in 2051 with an already predestined future, becoming an Office Assistant for the company called "Eddison Corp", that was experimenting with cloning humans. Merry was one of the first people to ever be cloned. She came out from one of the new Eddison People Making Machines at the same time as her brother, Pin Olsen, and spent most of her life stuck in a cubicle and typing on a computer. 

She didn’t like the job at first, and asked her superior at the time- Tom C.- for a new job. Tom accepted her offer, but decided to give her a non-official job, turning her into an Eddison Corp hitman(or hitgirl?) with little to no liberties or rights. Though Merry didn’t know at the time that such a job was considered literal slavery, she accepted it. Tom then gave Merry very unofficial special agent training- though Merry didn’t know, Tom was just using her so he could have someone do his job for him. 

Eventually, Merry did turn into an Eddison Corp hitman, doing dirty jobs for Tom- such as stalking other people like rivals from other companies and sometimes even government officials- to gain information. The two would slowly bond over time, eventually entering a small romantic relationship which only lasted a few weeks, since Tomston’s lack of emotions wasn’t very appealing for Merry.After this Merry ended up quitting the hitman job due to her getting a new job offer as a cloning scientist in the newly built Site 17, she accepted it, now liking the desk job she thought was lame at first. She ended up falling in love with science and all of the awesome things she could do with it.
