Morphe Palettes are really just where it’s at. Believe the hype, They are just as buttery and beautiful and affordable as everyone says. The palettes are around $30 for $35 shades and price and quality wise, it really can’t be beat.
I have the 350 and the 35W and I’ll probably buy the rest of them before I die, they really are just such a staple.
This review is on the the Colourpop bronzers in “paradise cove” and Bon Voyage and their highlighter in “Monster.”
Paradise cove is a glittery bronze, Bon Voyage is a matte bronze and Monster is a party highlight. When I say party highlight, I mean...this highlighter, while most are white based or silver based or gold based, is PINK BASED. But its not a blush. It is a highlighter. When your cheekbone catches the light in just the right way, pink radiance beams off your face. It is beautiful. It is a party on your face. A disco.
These are all a cream consistency, best applied, for me, with a stipplinng brush or even with your fingers. The bronzers are perfect for contouring your nose, they blend easily and are very pigmented.
While they may take some practice to get used to, these are a hit for me. The two bronzers that I purchased are great for those with fair skin and the highlighter is just magic.
Off to buy some more!

Today I am swatching and reviewing some Colourpop shadows that I ordered a couple of weeks ago. I decided to give them a few tries each, with several different brushes, before I gave a full review. My final conclusion is this. If I were an eyeshadow, I would be a Colourpop eyeshadow.
Pretty, but temperamental.
You have to work with these eyeshadows to get them to work for you.
The pigment is there and it is intense, but it wont show up untl you give it some love. These eyeshadows are ALL “pressed pigments” meaning I can dip my finger into the pot and press right down into the pan. If you try to use a dry brush or your finger, you won’t get color payoff and you will be left with a huge mess. BUT THERE IS A WAY.
These shadows are best applied with a damp wet brush. When I say damp, I mean soaking. I use a primer spray, like fix+prime or even the setting spray from ELF.
The results are thick and creamy and easy to apply and magical. Super pigmented and beautiful. You just gotta know how to work it.
I suggest these eyeshadows. They are $5 a pop and with some practice, you won’t be disappointed. I have been reaching for these almost daily.

New Colourpop Cosmetics blush, bronzer, lippie, blush and eyebrow pencil. Full tutorial when I’ve has some time to fiddle around with them.
Today I got a HUGE Colourpop package ( at least for me, I usually order a couple lipsticks at a time and I am good to go.) This is my review on the Colourpop lippie stix. Even though my go to lip formula is their liquid lipsticks, these just did not do it for me. Seen above are the colors Cookie, Gossip and Wifey. The formula is a satiny lipstick feel. It's moist and not drying at all. These are super pigmented and the color is beautiful. This would be a good lipstick for those that aren't cool with the liquid lipstick craze. EXCEPT. EXCEPT FOR THE SMELL. You have to know, I am not sensitive to smells. I am a fucking NURSE. I have smelled the worst of the worst. I have smelled DEATH. These are worse. The smell is hard to describe. Very strong and very chemical and almost smells...burnt. It's extreme and is enough to make your eyes water. I wiped these off in record time and still smelled them on my lips. It's super off putting to me, personally, and I can't believe that I've never heard anyone else mention this. Aside from the smell, these bleed into the lines around your lips, primer or not. I will 100% wear a lip liner when wearing a liquid lipstick that's going to dry matte but since these are such a moisturizing, almost glossy finish, I really can't see why anyone would bother. I LOVE Colourpop but these really didn't do it for me. These get a score of 3/10 Black Russians with a side of excerin for my headache. 💔
These are my favorite products for looking like a sunkissed, healthy, living and breathing mammal.
Let me start off by saying that my natural complexion is ghost white. I am VERY FAIR with neutral undertones. The type of fair that you can only achieve by having ancestors that lived NO WHERE near the equator. I am the whitest of the white girls. I get sunburned walking from my front door to my car. It’s an issue. I love having pale skin but sometimes I also like looking ALIVE.
Self Tanner- Fakebake Flawless.
I have spent a pretty penny on self tanners in the past with less than adequate results. Most self tanners leave me splotchy, uneven, orange and smelly. I’ve even tried St. Tropez, which is a cult favorite, and it didn’t wow me. FAKEBAKE wows me. I have been using this self tanner for the past few years. It’s a spray nozzle tanner, comes with a soft glove that you use to apply the formula. The smell is not offensive, it dries quicker than any other tanner and does not get on your clothes or sheets (which is a good thing, my sheets have SEEN SOME THANGS.) Most tanners have to be used at night and washed off in the morning but for me, I could use this at any point of the day and shower whenever. It deepens over a couple of hours but even initially, right out of the bottle, the tan you get is instant and beautiful.
The honorable mentions in the above picture are the Too Faced Cocoa Bronzer, NYX Wonderstick and NYX Hi Definition concealer, Hard Candy Strobing Kit and the Marcelle BB Golden Glow. All wonderful.
But the star is the Fakebake Flawless.
9/10 for making me look alive.
Let me tell you about these beauties.
I am a natural lash kind of human. When I say that, I mean OF COURSE I WEAR FAKE LASHES, they just look, to me, “natural.” Today I was doing my makeup and I realized that my ardell baby wispies were downstairs, where I plucked them from my eyeballs last night, and that just seemed like an unnessesary trek. So I pulled these out of the abyss that is my makeup “organizer” and threw them on.
My initial reaction was shock and fear. I had turned myself into a drag queen.
I have very strong features people, it’s easier than you would think for me.
These are PLUSH. They are heavy in your hand, but surprisingly not on your face. The band is super bendable, not stiff WHATSOEVER. These lashes are nice.
These retail for between $5-$6. Well worth the price. To me, they are definitely “evening lashes,” as they looked out of place while I was in my pajamas but surprisingly became appropriate when I put on some pants.
Magic.
This review is one of many, so I will make it short and sweet.
The new Wet n Wild brushes are AMAZING.
They are super dense yet soft and I am VERY, VERY impressed. My favorite is the flat top brush for applying foundation, it leaves an airbrushed finish to your skin and almost NONE of the foundation stays on the brush, which is a money saver. I also love the “crease brush” which is a crease/blending brush to me. It’s my favorite brush that I have used for this purpose.
The best part? They were buy one get one 50% off at Walgreens, I got ALL SIX for under ten dollars. You can’t beat that.

My favorite lipsticks, hands down, are the Colourpop lipsticks. I usually wear the ultra matte lip..every day that I wear makeup. That equals out to every day that I exist.
They are without a doubt the best feeling, most pigmented lipsticks ever. They come off on NOTHING, which is why toward the end of my little photoshoot, I look like I’m stoned from inhaling the paint thinner I put on my face to take each color off. Kidding, I used a makeup wipe. These colors are so beautiful and long lasting...and I am in love. But wait there is more.
THEY MADE A NEW FORMULA.
The first two pictures I am wearing their BRAND NEW ULTRA SATIN LIP in magic wand and marshmallow. This is a formula for the matte liquid lipstick haters. For the people that post reviews like “SOH DRY, COULDN’T FEEL MY LIPS, SO UNCOMF.”

But really.These do not dry out. They feel silky on the lip and they STAY PUT. They dry into what I can only describe as the most comfortable lipstick I’ve ever worn. Ever. I have to order all of them now. Right now.
100/100 to Colourpop lipsticks, who have super affordable, quality lipsticks that seriously just improve the quality of my life. I fucking love you guys.

Let me tell you about Catrice. Let me tell you about this amazing foundation.
Catrice is a German brand that is owned by Cosnova Beauty, who also owns Essence Cosmetics. This particular foundation, the Even Skin Tone Beautifying Foundation, comes in only four shades, Even Ivory, Even Vanilla, Beige Rose and Even Sand. Since my cousin is a practical joker, she bought my pasty self the darkest shade, Even Sand. This is obviously for those with yellow undertones, but I made it work by blending it practically almost to my butthole.
My skin type is normal/dry for reference.
Packaging
This stuff comes in a glass bottle with a pump, so you know that it’s the business.
Coverage
This is a medium to full coverage, I applied it with a damp beauty blender but it would be beautiful with a foundation brush or even, dare I say, my grubby little fingers. I primed before and set it with a finishing powder after.
Finish
It’s beautiful. This foundation is a rarity. It does NOT CREASE IN FINE LINES. It’s not drying, doesn’t accentuate dry spots or pores. This works like a high end foundation.It lasts all day. I LOVE IT.
I hope the pictures do it justice, because this foundation is liquid gold for me.

Tonight I will be doing a quick comparison of the BRAND NEW Hard Candy Highlight and Contour face duo stick and the Not Brand New NYX WONDER STICK.
I love the NYX and hate the Hard Candy.
The NYX has a super creamy, buttery consistency that blends into skin like a dream and I use it every single day. The Hard Candy, while beautiful in color and with a pointier application tip, is so hard to blend out and is just really thick and unmanageable for me. A miss for me, but it might work for someone that doesn’t have such dry skin.
The All Star basketball game is on now. Sophia has zen like concentration for some b-ball.
Today I braved Walmart for the new Hard Candy Spring 2016 collection.

Let me not get ahead of myself. Right now, in this post, I’m going to be reviewing the Look Pro! Ultimate sttrobing kit. Its SO FUCKING GOOD.
Excuse me, but it really is. This kit comes with four pans, the top two are illuminizers, the bottom two are a matte bronzer and a matte blush. It also comes with a “strobing glow” face and body cream luminizer and a WONDERFUL little brush, super dense and soft and wonderful.
I added a picture of the back of the box, it gives instructions for the FIRST TIME STROBER.
I added the luminizer to my foundation and it definitely made it a little bit more dewy and luminescent, which I love. The bronzer was the perfect shade for my fair complection and I mixed the illuminizers and they are so pigmented.
I have but one regret. I ran out of sunlight. The way these brighten and contour your face is SO PERFECT and I was so surprised that it honestly just threw the rest of my makeup game off and I was operating like these are new thumbs. It took FOREVER and I still couldn't get a decent eyeliner wing. One of those days, please forgive me. I will update tomorrow with better pictures but in the mean time..GO. GO FOURTH MY CHILDREN. BUY THIS.

Today I tried out the ELF acne fighting foundation. This foundation retails for $6 and is supposed to be a dupe for MUFE matte velvet. This is a good foundation. The color that I got was porcelain, which I assumed was the lightest shade, but in all actuality, the color “ivory” is the lightest shade and would have been a much better fit, as “porcelain” is a little bit too yellow. In my brain, porcelain and ivory are synonyms so I didn’t even look for a lighter shade. That’s what I get for assuming! This is a medium to full coverage foundation that I applied with a damp beauty blender after using a primer. I’m currently using the Nivea men’s aftershave balm as a primer and I can’t say enough good things about it. I set this foundation with a translucent powder. Overall, this foundation blends into the skin like a dream, covers all imperfections and has great staying power. I have normal to dry skin and I think that this foundation would be EVEN BETTER on someone with combination or oily skin. It’s extremely matte on me and so full coverage that I had to moisturizer and prime to kingdom come.
I added two pictures of the foundation, in natural light and in artificial light.
This one gets a 4.2/5 White Russians.
FINALLY. THE WORLD HAS FINALLY BEEN GIFTED WITH A PERMANENT GRAY DYE. TAKE OFF YOUR BRAS. DANCE IN THE STREETS.
Really though, this stuff is good. Before ION made this BRAND NEW dye, us Golden Girls could get gray from Wella’s 050, or Ions titanium, which is a demi permanent and not NEARLY as intense as this color, Chrome. There are not enough good things to say about this color. You can find it at your local Sally’s Beauty Supply, but if the ladies and gentleman of your town are just as thirsty for the gray as you are, you might have to wait. This stuff sold out within the day at my local store, and people in my town aren’t even cool. I got the last box of demi-permanent and permanent. BONUS- Sally’s is having a deal right now, where you can buy the dye for about $4 and get the developer for free. The Demi takes 10 volume and the permanent takes 20 volume. Since there are ABSOLUTELY NO PICTURES OF THIS HAIRCOLOR ONLINE, I did the demi permanent first. I live a life of fear.
I put this color on my prelightened hair and waited the recommended 25 minutes. The dye is white in the bowl but turns a super dark gunmetal color while it’s on your hair, chillin, killin.
This dye came out SO EVEN, even though my hair had a liiitle bit of brass before I dyed it. I know, I know.
This hair color is definitely a true silver with purple undertones in different lighting. Overall, I am very impressed.

Isn’t it wonderful to find a good, CHEAP lipstick? I’ve been a fan of Wet n Wild lipsticks since I was old enough to wear lipstick, which unfortunately has been since I was old enough to walk. This one is definitely out of my comfort zone as I usually wear a pink or nude lip, but it is just so pretty and pigmented, it deserved a little bit of recognition. The shade is Cherry Bomb (918D.) I had originally bought it for Halloween. I was a vampire and I was covered in blood. I always pick scary over slutty. You can be slutty year around, but if you cover yourself with fake blood year around, you’ll probably end up in the slammer.
In a perfect world, my first product review would be on a Holy Grail product, an item of makeup that fat little cherubs flew down and delivered me to brighten up my dismal and depressing existence. HOWEVER, this is not that product.
I tried to not be weirded out by this blush. The texture is not my favorite. I can’t explain it better than, if I was on trial for murder, I would not want to accidentally leave this in my boyfriend’s house the night of. OR WHOEVERS HOUSE. This blush captures the PERFECT fingerprint. It’s super dense but squishy, with air bubbles in it. It is a “cream to powder blush.”
The Application
This blush can be applied with your fingers, a stippling brush, or, since I like to color outside of the lines, I used a flat synthetic foundation brush. It actually blends into skin really well, even on top of foundation.
Color Payoff
NOT GREAT. I got the color 45 orchid flush and it did not show up, even a little bit. I don’t know how pale you would have to be for it to show up, but it made me really, really wish that I had a nice mortician friend that I could give this to. Not the first time I’ve wished that, by the way.
A LITTLE BETTER was the color 05 fresh pink. It showed up and it was pretty, but very very subtle. A pretty pink that actually showed up on my skin color, even though I set my foundation and this blush with a translucent powder. It even looked a little bit glowy in the right light.
The Verdict
This is a good blush for those girls and guys out there that want a subtle color to their face, to look more awake and youthful. Since this is not at all what I want, I was not feeling it. I like to use a heavy hand with my blush, I like to look as embarrassed and uncomfortable as I did when I was in Ulta reading these pervy blush names.
This one gets 2.5/5 Moscow Mules.
