So as some may know this ship is my fave lol, I'd usually put my own feelings in the tags but I actually had draft of this specific topic (for pugs ask, I promise I post my qrowin worms soon) but maybe it would be better here ? Anyway here's what I had written:

I know some people bring up Winters age, that they have way too big age gap but I dont think Winter even has confirmed age? Most we get is the family portrait in Schnee mansion but if you're like me who saw their first episode together and was into it since then its bit, unfair (?) To bring up.

There is no real indications that the two aren't in same age bracket, qrow has a little bit of beard I guess but other than that; neither of them are still in school, Winter has significant military rank which would make me think she has spent significant amount of time out of school, they both can handle a fight against each other and they both are allowed ~behind the close doors~ (and even if Winter gets kicked out, she still remains in or atleast near the inner circle for the rest of the show)

I know huge cope but if you were to go back and watch the episode for the first time could you really tell their ages? Not really, but they are both clearly adults in similar stage in life. (Winter having high position in the military & Qrow being huntsman -> teacher -> Well trusted huntsman, more or less)

Keep in mind that this is the same fandom that, once it's revealed Adam was the same age in flashbacks during the Adam Short immediately jumped into calling him a pedo.

Despite Ilia also being the same age as she was during those same flashbacks.

Yeah I just can’t get into male characters. Every time one shows up he’s always just the Male Character to get brownie points and make an obvious epic maleboss so the writer can feel better about themselves. Not to mention they’re always getting in the way of my cute yuri ship. I just rather go focus on women instead. Alright I've already found an issue with this first episode lets go!

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR V9! YA HERE THAT SPOILERS!

And its a tride and true classic, Bumblebee!

Ruby and Yang, sisters, reunite and its a simple knee touch

Blake and Yang reunite, the not confirmed queerbait girlfriends, and they have a full on tackle hug

At this point just have a giant group hug! You can have the wholesome sister reunion, the Bumblebee fixation, the team being all together, or whatever ships are inbetween. Its so much simpler than the ship favoritism

Yeaaaa I’ve talked about this before but it’s just so odd to me everyone wasn’t running to hug Yang since they’re all supposed to be friends and care about each other, why does only Blake get to hug Yang? Why doesn’t her own sister get to be super happy to see her alive? It’s even more frustrating because they keep playing this game and teasing and insisting it’s a slow burn and that they’ll get together soon or even teasing that they already are together without actually confirming it unquestioningly. and it’s just. Exhausting. Yes Weiss commenting the way she did would be harder for CRWBY to backpedal on, but that is no guarantee they’re truly together and I don’t understand why they just won’t confirm them since this “relationship” is overshadowing every other relationship they have at this point.

Sorry I went off their but yea I agree why not give them a group hug? Let them all be relieved to be together and that they’re all alive. Let them all actually be close friends in she show again.

I live for character interactions with variety of different personalities, especially in RWBY.

Well done RWBY Dust Queen, you made me fall in love with the team again in giving them such personality through dialogue and animation that I missed for so long.

the only downside is that this is a midquel. Meaning that this will lead to the Fall of Beacon where they will become their hateful selves.
