hot take:

the engenes leaving the fandom after what jungwon and jay said are dramatic as hell… if you can’t support them through a difficult time, then you shouldn’t have been here in the first place.

heeseung isn’t gone, he’s just in another place. you can choose to support BOTH artists without fighting or causing a problem. if you loved all seven of them, you can easily love all six plus heeseung. they are still seven in our support, just not in the same group.

-> a bit of a side note: i see a lot of people saying “they [enhypen] lost their hyung [heeseung]” and “he [heeseung] lost his six [enhypen]”… nobody lost anyone- i get that they’re not performing on the same stage together anymore but they are all still friends. and heeseung has had solo stages before, he is okay (anyone would be nervous on their first couple solo events with not knowing how it will be perceived). they are all without a doubt supporting each other and in contact behind the scenes. as long as they want to be, they are all still close friends.

the entire past of enhypen is not being erased. go watch their old videos. it’s all still there. if you want the old enhypen, then go watch their old content and listen to their old music.

both parties are doing the best they can and deserve our support.

it is not that hard to show love for both without putting one down.

we all love heeseung but the ot7 fanchant just isn’t correct anymore. it doesn’t make sense to chant the name of a non-member (just like how it wouldn’t make sense to go to an evan stage and chant the enhypen fanchant… he is solo, not in a group). using the new chant doesn’t mean you hate heeseung or that you’re erasing him. it means you are respecting the state of the group and cheering on the current members.

if heeseung ever does return to the group (which seems unlikely), the fanchant will go back to ot7 and real engene will welcome him back in with open arms.

the “fake” engenes are the ones causing arguments and refusing to support both artists contently. (those are the ones that jungwon called out)

i am neither an “ot6” or an “ot7”, i am just engene. i am here to support my ult group as well as heeseung in his new solo career.

say what you want and take whatever side you want. keep protesting if that is what you believe in. just stop creating drama and calling the opposite side of yours wrong. the reality is that both sides truly don’t know anything behind the scenes.

do not reply to this if you don’t have anything kind or constructive to say. i am not coming at either side of the argument. i am only calling out the problematic fans.
