Robin: Grayson, Todd, Drake, Brown, and now myself.

Flash: Wait, there have been five Robins?

Robin: Correct.

Green Lantern: Spooky, you've just been collecting children.

Batman: That's not—

Superman: Bruce.

Batman: ...

Batman: It's more complicated than that.

Robin: It is not.

Batman: Damian-

Robin: Father encountered emotionally compromised children and reacted by giving them capes.

Wonder Woman: ...

Flash: That's... honestly the best description I've ever heard.

Green Lantern: I thought Robins were chosen through some impossible test.

Robin: They are.

Green Lantern: Really?

Robin: Father must look at you and think, "I can fix that."

Batman: That's enough.

Robin: Thus far, he has been incorrect.

Batman: ...

Batman: Next agenda item.

Flash: HE'S NOT DENYING IT.

Green Lantern: Batman's superpower is aggressive adoption.

Batman: Green Lantern.

Green Lantern: I'm just saying, most people see a traumatized kid and call a therapist.

Flash: Bruce sees one and goes, "Have you considered vigilantism?"

Batman: That is not how it happened.

Robin: It happened multiple times.

Robin: Six, if you count Signal.

Flash: SIX?!

Batman: We are ending this discussion.

Superman, smiling: Welcome to the League, Robin.

Robin: Thank you.

Superman: It's good to have you here.

Robin: Tt

(A brief silence.)

Flash: Aw.

Green Lantern: Did... did Batman just raise a polite child?

Batman: No.

Robin: Green Lantern, your ring constructs lack creativity, your combat stance is inefficient, and your haircut is deeply unfortunate.

(Another silence.)

Green Lantern: There he is.

Batman: There he is.

my personal nolan odyssey hot take:

I actually think it's fine to put your own twist of a story that is literally nearly 3000 years old and been told and retold countless times

I personally think a one to one adaptation wouldn't have been as interesting, it would have likely still been a great movie, but I enjoyed that this one was a bit different

i wonder what the Gotham news cycle must have been like during the week Jason died

because first they're gonna hear about Bruce Wayne's adopted son getting blown up halfway across the world, after being in Bruce's care for at most maybe a year or two

but then imagine turning on the news again a few days later, just to see somehow The Joker has become the Iranian ambassador to the UN

AND THEN, a few more days later you see he tried to gas the UN, being stopped by superman, before just straight bombing it, and disappearing in a helicopter crash

how is it gonna be the first time you're meeting most of us and already been doing so much weird shit that we genuinely don't want to hang with you and plan to keep you away from someone in the future

being extra touchy with girls you don't know, grabbing one of their wrists so tight it genuinely hurt for ages after, and trying to beef someone for trying to draw on you after everyone else was getting drawn on and no one was actually forcing it

cray-z how neutral pronouns, the singular they, are like hey weve had this linguistic concept for several hundred years now and you know how it works for other stuff, so try and apply it to the concept of gender, and I'd like you to think about me that way. and people go you should be torn apart by dogs for attacking my way of life.

disjointed gender/pronouns rant (low-key just threw words at the wall here)

pronouns and gender be confusing me, because I have so much conflicting sides going on in my brain

between being raised a "man", coming from a family and area where gender roles were enforced, but also feeling most myself when I am doing so gender fuckery, but also what if I'm actually a poser

so I'm always in a constant flux of how non-binary vs man I actually am, and it's all just a chaotic soup of thoughts in my head

and there's the constant thought of how much would I be holding onto "manhood" if I wasn't raised the circumstances I was, or wasn't often terrified of how people may perceive me, even though most times the people who's opinions I'd care about on some sort of level literally do not care

I do think the "he" in my pronouns is likely holding on for dear life but I'm never sure if I want it gone fr or just toned down

especially depends on the person because a "he/him" from someone viewing me as a man is different from someone who doesn't, but it still holds all those bleh feelings and thoughts with being a stereotypical man

Lobo did not have to be there, Jason Mamoa was great as Lobo, but he added nothing to the plot. Lobo could be removed from the movie and with minor tweaks the plot would be the same
