Shorter hums in thought, moving from one side of the sofa to the other. He lays on his back, nestling his head on Eiji’s lap, “Nothing. I got all I need. Don’t matter to me if you get me anything,” he shrugs, folding his hands behind his head. The boss didn’t spend his time wanting for much, he was far too busy living life on the thin lines of life and death and enjoying his few quiet moments.@sa-yo-na-ra-eiji

“You’re impossible,” he groaned. “Here I am trying to give you something and you’re making it difficult,” he squished Shorter’s cheeks together, chiding him with a smile. He couldn’t quite bend in half to kiss him so he settled for combing his fingers through Shorter’s soft hair and smiling. “Let me take you out for dinner then? Or let me make you something. I can try for your favorite.”

Spending time with Eiji before he got completely lit was already a nice start to his birthday. “I’m not being difficult,” he smiles up at Eiji, “I am the opposite of difficult. I’m easy.” Throwing his leg over the back of the sofa, he lounges, making no move to go anywhere. “If you don’t want to get hit up everywhere, we should stay home til later though,” he muses, “Is my favorite a piece of that ass?”

Eiji snorted a laugh and squished his cheeks again. “You are easy. Simple. You just want my ass, but you’re allowed to have that anytime. I want to do something special.” He looked down at Shorter as if he was an enigma. “Dumplings? Bao? Spring rolls?”

“What about like… Fried chicken. Or ribs,” Shorter’s mouth watered at the thought, “Yeah, we have any ribs?”

Eiji chuckled but nodded. “Yeah, I think we do. I can go get some chicken too and make you both. But I don’t want you too full,” he poked at his belly. “You gotta keep your energy enough for tonight,” he said fondly.
