Before I went to bed last night, I passed a post where someone said that people were complaining that it made no sense for an unromanced Emmrich to get with Strife.

And first of all.

FIRST OF ALL.

I'm at my limit with people whining about Strife. “he's so mean/rude to Rook” (Crows trying other factions and thinking he's not "nice” enough compared to Viago)

I have a pretty strong idea*** of why y'all don't like his brand of “curmudgeonly father figure” compared to Viago's - aside from several points I could get into about the differences between being a Crow and a Veil Jumper, and how y'all have fetishized the Crows and treat the Veil Jumpers like boring hippies who tinker with weird shit in the woods.

But SECOND.

Almost immediately upon meeting Emmrich he asks Rook where they're from and if they can talk about their adventures later. He continually through dialogue and codexes expresses excitement about being on adventures. This man enjoys adventures and adventurers.

That's why I had zero doubts about romancing him with a Veil Jumper. Oh I know you all love romancing him with your Addams Family Rooks and talking up how sweet it is to see two nerds together and pretending that man doesn't contain multitudes.

It absolutely makes sense to see him attracted to Strife. He loves exploring new things and meeting new people, and he's attracted to warriors as much as “nerds,” and given that Veil Jumpers are both, it's hilarious anyone would be dismissive of this.

I need y'all to touch grass. It's the conversation about Nevecanis all over again. 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
