Please note that the red divider in the middle is not scripture. They're lyrics from What Would I Do Without You by Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors
They're not perfect by any means, but I hope whoever finds them enjoys them.
And to be fully clear here, the men calling women âhipletsâ are gross incels who need to unpack all of the misogyny thatâs baked into their right wing brain rotted minds.
But the insult of â2 cm dickâ is legitimately intersexist and transphobic. Itâs also just stupid and lazy.
Yes we should be insulting these pathetic men, but we need to do so in an intelligent way.
Youâre right. Not everything is about trans and intersex people. This one very specific this is.
Weâre not making you look like an asshole, weâre pointing out that something you said was harmful and you should say something else. You responding by acting like a pissy 7 year old instead of saying âok Iâll fix thatâ is whatâs making you look like an asshole.
There no need for fixing smth that isnât broken???? How about instead of worrying about me you worry about the men making literal DEGRADING TERMS for women??? Like we have bigger dudes to kiss here, trans and intersex people can wait.
Hi! Intersex person here â while micropenis in of itself is not a slur, and is often a trait of ambiguous genitalia, using it as an insult, is then a slur. I agree that it is a slur. Listen to intersex voices.
The Voices of Saint Joan of Arc, according to her trial transcript:
"There is no day that I do not hear the voice. And indeed I need it. I have never asked it for any other reward than, in the end, the salvation of my soul." [...] "Whatever I have done that was good, I have done at the bidding of my voices."
Above are some of my favorite art pieces that depict Joan of Arc as she listens to the Voices supposedly sent by God to guide her. Joan of Arc, a beloved saint to many Christians, is the patron of France, soldiers, and female prisoners in the Catholic Church; however, she is often also claimed by feminists and queer Christians as a patron of gender liberation, gender nonconformity, same-gendered female relationships, and even transgender joy. I propose that, alongside the love and protection of women and queer people, we give her another patronage--the patron of the mentally ill, especially those who experience psychosis and 'madness'.
We have no way of knowing 100% if the Voices that instructed Joan throughout her time in the army and while on trial were truly divine or if they were a symptom of schizophrenia or a similar psychotic disorder. But just because one of two options may be true doesn't mean the other isn't. Joan can have both experienced divinely created voices and be hallucinating. God is present in everything-- why not both?
Saint Joan of Arc, patron of the schizophrenic, psychotic, and mad, pray for us!
Please pray for the attack that happened in Berlin - I do not care if you disagree or agree with Pride, but one person has died and sixteen others are injured.
Once my friend told me that he felt Christian imposter syndrome sometimes because he had never had a big, life altering encounter with God. But we encounter God everywhere. It's in the way you let me sit on your couch and ramble about a breakup when we barely knew each other. It's in sunshine. Laughter. The faces of my friends who have never set foot in a church. It's in all the people who have shown me grace and mercy when I wholly didn't deserve it. It's the ache you've been trying to explain. It's the way that birds just know when to push their babies out of the nest. The way that I have found myself back in church even though no one would blame me if I hadn't. The way that we, creatures from a miniscule part of the universe, not only wanted to, but taught ourselves how to look into deep space. The sound of water flowing along a creek. It's the rhythm of the ocean, beating since before our species existed. You can go your whole life without having a big, come-to-jesus, altar call moment when you were "saved," and that's ok. Your faith doesn't have to run on adrenaline highs and intensity. God's in the still small voice. All the little miracles around you.
