I offer you Dew overstimming himself because he's stuck on the memory of the pretty boy he fucked outside a concert venue (I rlly like this scene so sneak peek lol)
And more about the au below the cut
Strangers to lovers to boyfriends. Theyre idiots the entire fucking time because of course they are, theres something deeply wrong with both of them.
Rain is in a hell of his own making when he realizes the guy he hooked up with after a show isn't just some stranger. He's only the slightest bit mortified, and kind of a bitch about it.
Dew has something new to entertain himself with while he tours as an opener to some band he's never heard of before. Days on the road are long and boring. A man needs a hobby, and his is apparently tormenting a slutty bassist with too much eyeliner and a perky ass.
Aether, Cumulus, and Mountain are forced to watch Rain go through the strangest gayest crash out they've ever seen.
Aurora, Mist, and Pebble are wondering if Dew is stupid blind or just an asshole. Maybe all three. (This band was created entirely out of short people for the hell of it.)
Will Rain willingly acknowledge he's caught feelings for some cocky ginger jack-ass? Or will he throw himself into oncoming traffic?
Will Dew allow himself emotional connection? Or will he keep chasing sexual gratifcation because that's easier to process than love?
Tune in next chapter to find out! If Void can ever get his shit together long enough to finish the chapter thats bordering on 8k right now!
When I made this 2nd part it was originally just going to be even MORE ERA IV shenanigans. But then the ghouls new uniforms were announced, a new ghoul came about (Sunshine/Nyx) so now it's this! There are also errors in this video (like Aethers helmet being Rains helmet).
I am on the fence about making more Era V animatics because there are a couple of new ghouls and the loss of Aether feels pretty raw, still? I was already half out of the community and in my hiatus phase when he announced his shock regarding the notice he received of no longer touring with GHOST on ghostwt. I'm just now grieving that loss along with other closer losses.
Will I actually make more??? Maybe! Probably? Could possibly. We'll have to see :)
Rain drops a plastic shopping bag on the dressing room table, between Dewdrop and the expansive vanity mirror in front of him. A frame of frosted light bulbs illuminates it from every direction.
They charge money for these bags, not very much but enough that he considered — briefly — carrying his purchases out of the store in his hands. He decided the bag felt integral to the experience. Now it feels a little silly. There’s not much inside, and the wispy gray handles rise above its contents like smoke.
Dew raises one eyebrow. “What? You bought weird snacks again?” He leans forward in his chair, reaches toward the bag—
Rain stops him with a hand on his shoulder. The reconfiguration of inertia causes the entire chair to tip back, gently giving way via some fancy internal mechanism fit for fancy furniture in a fancy arena dressing room.
Dew’s incredulous glare in response to what by all means was a minor slight isn’t a surprise. He’s been irritable lately, the past two weeks, reactive — understandably so. Healing is taking a lot out of him, and any energy he has left is immediately spent, overspent, on performing a concert every day or two.
He seems to have turned a corner, at least physically. He’s up and about more, walking to catering, things like that. Marginally less pain, and the swelling is starting — just barely — to go down. Rain has done his reading, though. Broken bones take weeks to fully repair, for temporary cartilage cells to ossify; it takes months for things to get back to normal. A relative lack of inflammation is not the green light Dew wants it to be.
Rain removes his hand. The chair bounces back upright, hitting its maximal angle with a clunk.
“Not snacks, I guess,” Dew grouses.
Rain did indeed buy snacks, normal ones, but he has other plans first.
“In order to heal you need to rest,” he says.
“How have I not been resting? All I do is sit around.” Dew makes a vague gesture at their surroundings, a space in which he’s more or less confined for the next several hours.
Rain rolls images of him sulking and fidgeting around in his mind. “Well, yes, I mean—” He thinks of him leaning off a couch to reach a bottle of water, which falls to the floor. “You’ve been sitting but you haven’t been resting.”
“What do you want me to do?”
Rain reaches into the bag and pulls out a flat, heat-sealed foil rectangle. “We’re doing this.”
Dew narrows his eyes at the item presented to him. “What is it.”
“Face mask.”
“No.”
“Why not?”
“It’s not going to help.”
“It feels nice. It’s hydrating.”
“I’m not a water ghoul anymore,” Dew bites.
Rain looks up from the foil packet, now haphazardly torn at a diagonal that starts at the perforated open-here notch and wanders down toward the belly of the packet where the mask lies. His fingers are damp with serum — hyaluronic acid, glycerin, slippery things. He rubs them together. “I don’t think it’s the time or place for fire right now.”
Dew huffs. A muscle in his jaw flexes. “Fine.”
Rain pulls the mask out of the packet. Dew glares daggers into him as he struggles to pick apart the seams of what, under the weight of his scrutiny, feels like a densely folded wet napkin. What he finally unfurls is a white circle, spanned by perpendicular creases from its time entombed, with neat, machine-cut openings to accommodate two eyes, a nose, and a mouth.
As he brings it to Dew’s face, Dew shrinks back, just a little.
“Hold still.” If he had a free hand, Rain would hold him still himself. The best he can requisition are a few free fingers, the ones not holding the mask, ring and pinky on each side, lightly pressed to his temples as he drapes bottom of the mask on his chin, then aligns the eye holes over his eyes.
“Eugh,” Dew complains. “It’s cold.”
“It’s soothing.”
To his credit, Dew does hold still while Rain carefully tugs at the edges of the annoyingly self-adhesive sheet that, in reality, is not the shape of a face. Something flat never had a chance to fit a nose, cheekbones, a jaw, despite the carefully engineered notches and cutouts — a known limitation of the form. Still, he pokes at it with gentle fingers until it’s as centered and optimal as it can be.
“Okay, done.” He stands up from a leaned-over position that had become, in the midst of his focus, intimately close, zoomed in.
Dew turns and looks in the mirror, stiff in the way one might be when they have something balanced on their head. He gives himself a restricted, blank-faced scowl.
“This is stupid. I feel stupid.”
“No, here, look, I have one too.” Rain quickly grabs the other packet and tears it open, even more obliquely than the first.
The mask slides wetly into his hand. He shakes it out with much less care than was afforded to the previous one and places it haphazardly over his own face. Then he sits in his own chair.
“Okay,” he says. “Now we’re not going to do anything for thirty minutes.”
Dew doesn’t even protest at this point. He sighs and closes his eyes.
Rain pulls his phone from his pocket and lifts it up to eye level so that he can type “relaxation music” into the search bar without looking down and disturbing the fragile surface tension adhering the mask to his face. He considers, then scrolls past, a guided mediation — too much — and taps a two hour long track with an album cover featuring river-worn rocks and deep green foliage.
Dew opens one eye halfway as the tranquil soundscape of low-pitched bells and flowing water fills the room.
“Relax,” Rain instructs, firm, at odds with his choice of musical accompaniment.
Dew closes his eyes.
Rain doesn’t. He keeps watching Dew to make sure he’s cooperating.
He does look peaceful, hands folded in his lap, big boot elevated on a small ottoman scrounged from another room backstage. Maybe it’s working.
Only a fraction of the way into their thirty minutes, a knock sounds on the door, three energetic taps.
Dew’s eyes snap open.
Almost immediately, the door swings ajar and Aurora spills into the room. “Hey, do you guys have—”
Dew, without delay, sits up in his chair and turns it around until his back is to the door. Unfortunately for him, every mirror in the room reflects his image right back to the beaming smile spreading across Aurora’s face, to her eyes radiant with the serendipity of witnessing something very unusual and very secret.
“Oh! Wait, this is so cute!” She looks from Dew to Rain and back again. “Can I paint your nails? I have black, and a glitter top coat— Or white, to match your guitar! Hold on—”
Then she’s gone as quickly as she came.
Dew starts trying to stand up, both hands on the arm rests of the chair, injured leg kicked out in front of him so as not to put weight on it, then seems to think better of it.
“Quick, lock the door,” he hisses in an urgent, shouting kind of whisper, like if Aurora hears him she’ll come running back.
Rain doesn’t have to think twice about it. It’s a win to him: Dew is still sitting down, and the mask is still on.
Aether misusing numbing gels and local anaesthetics so Dew can't get off when he fucks him, the skinny ghoul helplessly whimpering under him only able to feel pressure in his tummy and no pleasure. Dew clawing at Aether's shoulders over his scrubs roughly enough to tear through the poly-cotton fabric as Aether's knot locks into him with only his pre and spit to lube his hole :(
Swiss has been delegating a lot of things since he came back home to help Copia with the move and everything else. But the one thing he insisted on doing himself was packing up and unpacking his pack’s rooms. Phantom happens to FaceTime him while he’s unpacking his room.
Thanks to @forlorn-crows for putting together Mushy May! I’ve had a lot of fun - this is the most I’ve written in like four or five years.
- - - - - -
Swiss blew out a breath as he surveyed the room in front of him. They had finally moved into the new place once all of the renovations were complete but now came the unpacking, which was a new and difficult challenge in its own right. Swiss had delegated a lot in the past few months, but this was one thing that he didn’t want anyone else to do. He insisted that his pack take care of unpacking their fellow packmates’ rooms.
The room he was currently standing in was Phantom’s. He’d saved it for second to last, only coming before his own room. He looked over to the boxes that he had painstakingly packed himself. He grabbed his pocket knife to slice through the packing tape and got to work.
After a few hours, most of the room was unpacked and Swiss had been carefully arranging all of Phantom’s knick-knacks on his shelves. He felt his phone buzzing in his pocket so he paused in unpacking efforts and grinned as he saw who was FaceTiming.
“Hey buggy baby. How was the ritual?”
“Hey Swissy! Ritual was good. Energy was really fun,” Phantom said softly. He was lying down in his bunk, smiling hazily at his mate.
“You missed some makeup, baby,” Swiss said, gesturing to his eyes, where Phantom still had smudges of black.
Phantom chuckled. “I know you like me messy. Did it for you.”
Swiss laughed and shook his head. “Wish I could help clean you up.”
“Yeah, me too,” Phantom murmuring, smiling softly. He took a deep breath and raise his hand up above his head, stretching out as best as he could in the bunk. “Whatcha up to? Where are you?”
“You actually called at the perfect time. I’ve been unpacking your room,” Swiss said. He watched as Phantom perked up a little bit, his eyes widening.
“Oooh! Show me! Show me!”
Swiss chuckled and flipped the phone camera so he could show off his progress. “Not done yet, but got through a pretty good amount of the boxes.”
“What’s my view?”
“Lake view, of course, baby. You don’t think that I’d give you the best view?”
“You’re the best, Swissy.” Swiss grinned as he watched Phantom’s excited expressions as he showed him little details of his new room.
“I think I should get one of those giant bean bags for that corner,” Phantom said, as Swiss continued his room tour. “Wouldn’t that be fun? We can cuddle and watch movies in it. I think it’d be perfect.”
“You’re talking to the right guy, bug. I’ll put it on the list of requests. Copia’s been pretty liberal about granting the furniture requests so far and I haven’t seen Cowbell too frantic yet, so we must still be keeping within budget.”
Phantom made a face. “Budgets? Yuck. Your life sounds so different now.”
Swiss chuckled, only a little bit of sadness tinging the sound. “It is, baby. I’m basically an admin ghoul now. Cee’s right hand man.”
Phantom nodded. “I know…I know. I’m glad you went home to help him. We’re all so worried about him…it helps to know that you and Aeth and Sunny and Cue are at the new place and can make him feel more at ease.”
The young quint ghoul sighed and tried to stretch out more without hitting the walls of the bunk. “What’s on your agenda for the rest of the night?”
Swiss shrugged. “More unpacking. Eventually dinner and I think Lulu had a movie she wanted us to watch. So we might try and drag Copia out of his office for that.”
Before Phantom had a chance to respond, a big yawn overtook his face and Swiss couldn’t help but fondly smile at his screen. “Sorry,” Phantom murmured, his cheeks flushing.
“No need to apologize, baby. You need some rest. I get it.”
“I just don’t want to hang up yet. I like seeing what you’ve done with my room and hearing about all the unpacking and chaos of the new place. Makes me feel like I’m there with you, all domestic-like.”
Swiss laughed. “You’ll be here with me soon enough, Phantom. Just enjoy tour while you can and then we can be disgustingly domestic when you get home. I’ll make you breakfast in bed every day you’re home for the first week. Deliver it in a little frilly apron.”
Phantom groaned. “Mmm, I’m holding you to that, Swiss.” He smiled sleepily at his mate. “Thanks for unpacking my room. You got the trinket shelf put together perfectly. And you left space for all my new things.”
“What sort of mate would I be if I couldn’t properly unpack all your trinkets?”
“Mmmm dunno. You’re the only mate I’ve ever had. But you’re definitely the best at it.” Phantom’s words were starting to slur together and the phone kept dipping as his eyes kept halfway closing before he’d jerk awake again. “Think it’s time for me to sleep.”
“I’d agree, baby. Love you. Talk to you tomorrow.”
“Love you too, Swiss Cheese.”
Hello! The fluff between Rain and Phantom was greatly appreciated :)
Do you have any additional headcanons about them specifically as a couple? I am... Clearly obsessed with them, and I'd love to hear more thoughts about them!
Additionally, are you comfortable with people DMing you to talk headcanons / ghouls? Just curious!
— 💧🦇 (Thank you like always! x)
ANON I have been waiting for you like a villain in a spinny chair stroknig a cat I'm ALWAYS down to be messaged about ANYTHING I love a good yap !! ANYWAY yes I do have more thoughts on them, maybe not very cohesive and mostly scattered but !!
I think Phantom was a very unique ghoul, despite Copia's ghouls being much more relaxed and happy than Primo or Secondo's ghouls but he's just special yk? He's modern and fun and adores humans and loves being a bit bratty, he has a very playful personality and silly quirks and habits.
Rain is very bossy but still so soft and kind, he's just a stubborn guy that knows he's hot as fuck but isn't as snotty about it as he was when he was first summoned. He doesn't close himself off from messing around anymore because he's 'too good to do that' since the others made him recognise his royal status didn't matter much topside. He enjoys being silly on occasion, maybe not the same way as Phantom but he's always down for a laugh.
They're very different personalities but mellow each other out very well, Rain is the type to quietly read and drink his wine in the evening while Phantom is bouncing around, constantly changing the TV channel or what game he's playing but he will scuttle over to rub his face over Rain's thighs and tummy like a cat for a few minutes before going back to whatever he's doing. Rain loves when Phantom compliments him too, he could literally have not showered for a week and be sitting in month old pyjamas and Phantom worships the ground he works on, he's an egotistical guy at times but equally worships Phantom.
Rain likes the contrast of their styles when him and Phantom link arms and go for a stroll, Rain loves his Victorian ish looking ruffles and lace while Phantom usually wears shorts and a band shirt. He will dress up but it's a fight, Rain usually picks their outfits and will pick out matching ones. If Phantom is good Rain lets him take off his underwear with his teeth. This is a segue to SEX yay !!
Rain introduces Phantom to Tantric sex, I think water ghouls use sex as a form of affection and to develop a closer bond and tantric sex is a pretty common way for this to happen. Phantom has a high stamina and is usually just desperate to get off as much as possible but Rain helps him to slow down, make it more sensual and takes away any pressure Phantom has to 'preform' in bed since it's not about reaching orgasm, it's about a deeper intimacy. They do fuck nasty but I'm trying to be soft here.
Phantom fell first and HARD, as soon as his beady ass eyes seen Rain he was preparing their human wedding and ghoul mateship rituals. Rain LOVES this it strokes his ego so much that this new quint follows after him desperate for any attention. Rain falls slower but just as intense, like his affection for Phantom is a gradual growth. Phantom was the one that 'asked' Rain out but it was Rain mopping about in a pretty outfit, loudly sighing and complaining there was no one to take him into the nearby town to take him to dinner that made him take the hint. This is how their first few dates happen until Aether takes Phantom aside, gives him some flowers and tells him to ask Rain out properly.
I'm about to go out friend but I will come back and think up more stuff about them trust !!
Part two of mentally ill ghoul headcanons because my sexy bff asked for it @halfcow-halfboy x !! These are all of their headcanons I just fleshed them out and tweaked a few minor things.
Phantom has anorexia, it wasn't an intentional thing to lose weight but to have control over something once he was summoned, he was already pretty thin since he was a runt in his pack but when he was topside it was quite chaotic, I think it took longer for everyone to warm up to him as Aether's replacement than they did with Aurora. It caused a lot of big feelings for him and he struggled to cope, it also is tied to his gender dysphoria since he feels like he passes better the thinner he gets. It comes to a head when Aether himself is the one to notice and essentially forces Copia to start getting Phantom more intense help than he can provide like therapy, a meal plan, a nutritionist and other people that can give specialised care. It takes a while since Phantom is fussy and the infirmary's usual meal plan doesn't suit his taste but Aether helps to tailor it to his preferences. He slowly gains weight back, he still enjoys the feeling fasting brings him but Aether ensures he only does intermittent fasts once he's back to a healthy weight and times it himself and makes sure Phantom breaks it when he's supposed to and not secretly extend it over the agreed time.
Alpha has bipolar, I lean more toward cyclothymia than type one or two or unspecified just because I don't think his emotions are as 'extreme' in terms of swings, he tends to be a cranky guy. It takes a long while for anyone to realise he has issues but Alpha's mood swings eventually start to affect his relationship with Omega which makes the quint realise this isn't just Alpha being moody. He tends to isolate when in a manic state because he's easily irritated and uncomfortable and usually very focused on whatever task he's decided must be completed right away but also when he's in a depressive state, he's miserable and sad and snaps more easily at the others. There's a lot of parallels, he won't eat in either state because he gets nauseous and loses his appetite during a low and is too 'busy' during a high to realise he's hungry. He will spend money erratically because he thinks buying lots of things that give him endorphins in a low will fix him and 'its only money' when he's at a high point. Doesn't care to maintain his appearance during a low because whats the point but also during a high because it takes away his focus from whatever thing he's decided is the most important thing ever. He refuses to actually do therapy but gets medicated which helps a bit, Omega and Secondo try to redirect him if they can tell he's about to have a swing either way.
Omega has cleanliness/contamination OCD. He knew there was something wrong long before he was topside but once he was in the infirmary it got intensely worse and when he started to draw Terzo a dettol bath instead of a romantic one with bubbles and flowers his husband realised how bad Omega had gotten. Post COVID (if you want to believe that happened in whatever universe ghost is) he refused to stop the protocols that were in place. He strips out of his scrubs still in the infirmary and bags them, he refuses to risk bringing any sort of germs into his and Terzo's chambers or in the ghoul den or the dining hall. He has to have an extremely hot shower once he returns to the point Terzo ends up rubbing soothing ointment into his tender skin from the temperature but it's the only way he feels decontaminated. He struggles with going out to eat with Terzo or the others because he doesn't know how well they clean the plates and cutlery and how well the chefs clean their hands or clean surfaces but even when Terzo tries to cook Omega will offer to 'help' by cleaning everything, scrubbing the kitchen between every step.
Only Terzo really notices, the others think it's normal for a person that works in the infirmary to clean their hands between patients and him doing it constantly during an exam is just being careful, it's normal for him to hold his breath and avoid someone when they cough to prevent him getting sick. I also think this can lead to him doing the opposite, he hates germs/virus'/pathogens, he'll go to extreme lengths to disinfect everything but also sometimes he won't clean anything because he's so terrified that he'll avoid it until it gets extremely bad. Usually Terzo will clean for him but if he's away for a meeting or something he'll either return to a new biohazard and a petrified ghoul that won't move from the bed or their chamber reeks of industrial strength cleaner. The intrusive thoughts about it usually are about Terzo, Alpha or Delta and that something extremely bad will happen if everything isn't sterile. I'm not quite sure what to put for specifics with the intrusive thoughts but they are very extreme and can make him push them away at times when he's really low/bad.
Haze has chronic depression, she doesn't feel depressed to the point of suicide most of the time but can reach those extreme lows, double depression I think? it's been a while since therapy I'm sorry. ANYWAY her brain tends to spend so long on feeling hopeless or being too tired to do anything which then causes more feelings of guilt and worthlessness. Pet is the one that tries to install 'depression can't hit a moving target' thought process in her, he doesn't quite understand that it has become her default state to be depressed but she appreciates it, he does things with her to make it easier, just getting up and getting ready to sit in a different room can help a bit, on her better days they'll go for walks and on worse days he'll sit with her while she's in bed, petting her hair and telling her that it's okay, they can try again tomorrow. She sometimes will use sex to try and cope but ends up feeling so horribly guilty for being rough and 'using' someone despite always getting enthusiastic consent which can lead to her having a breakdown during it, usually her sub is too out of it to be much help but Aether or Pet will console her and someone else will provide aftercare to her sub. Going back to her life in the pits she didn't experience any major trauma, had a good upbringing which leads to more feelings of guilt and regret and why should she complain if people have it worse? it's just how her brain works and she knows that but she can't help but to ruminate on those thoughts at times. She swings between rarely eating and overeating for comfort both of which cause her to feel bad about herself. Does self harm on her worse days, I think she'd lean more towards burning or hitting because she struggles to deal with bleeding/wounds, prefers being able to slap a plaster on it and not acknowledge it.
Pebble is AuDHD to the max, as a kit he tried very hard with education and was very good but the mixture of masking and trying to be the best at everything lead to burnout as a teen which made his pack very upset that he was suddenly not getting as high of grades or preforming as well which lead to more burnout, isolating and depression. He acts up a lot too, dabbles with substance use because he finds it's the only thing that makes him seem normal and he only feels comfortable interacting with people when he's high or drunk. His ADHD became more obvious once he was topside, I think the ministry has a small play area and he would spent hours on the swings until there were callouses or wounds on his hands from gripping the chains for so long. He just really likes the feeling and motions of it and it makes his brain quieten down. When he's on his own he'll put his headphones on and rock himself, gets insanely upset and agitated if anyone sees this or comments on his swinging. Terzo was concerned but probably just assumed he was another eccentric ghoul until Omega and him are yapping and Omega mentions that the new Earth ghoul is adhd as hell. They notice more things like Pebble forgetting keys in doors, accidentally leaving pans on the stove because he gets distracted, he needs to do multiple things at once or he won't do it. He sometimes won't realise he's hungry or needs to use the bathroom until he's suddenly running for the bathroom or eating dry cereal from the box. Mist is probably the one that brings it up to him, Mist and Pebble are bffs (canon and true) so he takes it a bit better from her. He copes quite well once he's in therapy and on a non stimulant (He decided he didn't want to risk himself mis-using a stimulant) and he becomes more comfortable stimming around his pack. Terzo gets those bright coloured sleeve covers for the swings so he doesn't hurt his hands on the chains.
Aurora has ADHD but had an opposite experience of Pebble, her pack cherished her since she's a multi and a ghoulette so she is very doted on. All of her whims would happen, she'd start a hobby and forget it once she thought of something else. Once top side she continues this, constantly asks for 'bathroom breaks' during band practice but Swiss knows she just wants an excuse to move. He offers to let her chase him around the room between songs. Has immense decision paralysis, if someone offers her options for dinner she'll just stare at them like they had told her she was going to explode in 30 seconds. She usually will eat the same few things anyway so the others will keep them on rotation, they will offer Aurora whatever they're having for dinner and she can try some or go with whatever safe option is for that day. She tricks herself into doing her chores by changing her thinking into "If I complete all these tasks I can have a treat!" which works sometimes, other times she'll just have the treat and not do her chores. She will get a lot more chores done if another ghoul is around to just be nearby or to yap to while they work, if she's doing laundry it helps if someone is folding and organising clothes, that type of thing. She does struggle sometimes to remember to take care of herself like cleaning her teeth or looking after her hair but the ghoulettes usually spot it and remind her before her day starts. She will happily talk about whatever interest has her fancy for hours or constantly text someone about it and then feels intensely bad and guilty if they don't respond right away. It takes a lot of reassurance from the others for her to realise she isn't being ignored and they aren't unappreciative of her interests they sometimes just need a little while to come up with a response to all the information at once.
Delta has maladaptive daydreaming (I also think he has MDD but that again is another much longer paragraph) it started as a kit, he wasn't treated very well so it was easier to imagine him in a different more fun world. Once he's topside it turns more into 'what if someone loved me unconditionally despite my flaws' this man is MISERABLE okay. Can spend hours in his daydreams, fully builds them into proper stories. When his depression is bad he'll daydream about post ending it all (sorry that was really heavy) and how everyone would react. He daydreams about it A LOT and it changes every time which can either bring him more peace or more upset. The other ghouls are aware that he tends to 'space out' or dissociate but not the type of things he's thinking about. It causes problems because when he's really bad he'll just straight up ask people what they would do if he was to be banished or killed. He is constantly in and out of the infirmary for emergency psych checks. He does eventually cope a lot better and accepts his depression and becomes a counsellor himself. He finds much comfort in Nihilism when Primo introduces him to various philosophies, he leans more toward existential nihilism than moral. Still has his daydreams for comfort but doesn't rely on them to survive as much.
Ifrit has Bipolar type one, he's always an energetic and happy guy but when Zephyr notices him being more paranoid and talking to people that aren't there they realise he's extremely unwell, he requires hospitalisation and ends up being diagnosed. He doesn't often experience manic episodes severe enough that they cause psychosis though which is why it took a while for anyone to notice. When manic he can spend hours working out, usually late at night so he's not as noticed by others. His brain can ruminate, like if Aether doesn't hold his hand back one time he will constantly think about that for hours and is filled with intense rage that he cannot be near Aether because he's scared he'll attack his best friend over it. He doesn't typically feel more grandiose but more "I'm so hot I can sleep with everyone in the den and the entire ministry" or "I could smash my head through a wall and not feel a thing" which teeters more with self harm and psychosis for him. He's already a yapper but during a manic episode he can't stop, will speak until he's lightheaded from not breathing enough also will say things he never would normally say, will talk about insanely personal things to anyone, talks about others insanely personal things, he's incredibly blunt and can be hurtful during these times. During a depressive low he will not get out of bed, even when Zephyr tries to lure him out with promises of going on walks or working out or even to just sit in the library or den gets shot down. He does snap at Zephyr at times which makes him feel worse afterwards but Zeph tries to be very understanding although they sometimes need to step out to regulate their own feelings. He swings between not sleeping for days and sleeping for like sixteen hours at a time, it changes with each episode, he leans more into overeating comfort foods than not eating as well. He can switch between feeling everything very intensely and being numb and empty, he also sometimes gets a bit too dependent on weed and drinking during these periods.
Aero has taboo OCD/moral OCD or 'pure O' I'm not sure which one is preferred. He experiences intrusive thoughts about violence, sexual and self harm despite the fact he is opposite type of guy to act on these thoughts. His intrusive thoughts are more if he's cutting something in the kitchen his mind will jump to what if I stabbed someone or myself with this knife. These thought causes him immense distress since they go against everything he believes in and he knows deep down he would never actually act on these thoughts. His sexual intrusive thoughts lean more to the very illegal side of them which has caused him to self harm over them, Primo was the one to realise Aero wasn't just being rigid and avoiding everyone over nothing and to help him seek help for it. He feels almost chronically embarrassed, even the most normal interaction from years prior will play over and over in his head and convince himself he was out of line and wildly offensive about something. His day can sometimes revolve around avoidance as a compulsion when it's very bad, not just avoiding big events it tends to be less blatant, not responding to a message, avoiding phoning people back, walking a longer route just to avoid a person/area. During therapy he tries various techniques he tries to remind himself "I expect to have these thoughts, these are normal for me, it is not a reflection of my true thoughts." and similar things. Primo helps a lot, when he thinks about mistakes he made when he was younger Primo tends to be very reassuring and a bit blunt with it "You were a kit/young ghoul, why would you pick on yourself for making a mistake? you wouldn't pick on someone else for making those mistakes." I think anyway !! I enjoy Primo/Aero being nice to each other ok crying emoji.
I'M SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG BFF !! I hope it's decent angel emoji.
