• Again all of my stories take place in the same world, which I have called Allra, so all of my stories together will be called The Chronicles of Allra

• If you are interested in the basic lore and history behind Allra, I will soon have a post up with all the info, I will add the link here once updated and completed

• Allra is heavily influenced and based around Norse mythology, although all characters and lands are original, they are inspired by the norse mythos and the norse mythos are even implemented into the world’s history somewhat

• Some stories will be multiple parts and others will be just short stories involving random characters within the world and some will have a bigger impact then others

Prince Killer:

• Genre: Fantasy & Adventure

• Warnings: Murder, hints of emotionally abusive family (will update if the list expands)

• Tropes: Magic, found family, retelling with a twist, major angst, royalty, fighting against prophecy & destiny, morally grey MC, family rivalry, major symbolism

• Main & Side Characters: Locke Ambrose, Caradoc Ambrose, Kailen Skaesun, Elwin Ambrose, Toke Ambrose (There’s more but those 5 are really the ones that need to be noted)

• Summary: In a world that was reborn after the events of Ragnorak, history seems to repeats itself as the King of Konunheim hears word from one of his trusted prophesiers that his son, Caradoc, will die by another’s hand by a simple arrow made from a harmless plant and if this were to occur the world may break out into another war and destroy itself. Assuming his last born, Locke, may be the killer due to his certain ways and dislike of his brother, he demands for his punishment and a way to keep Caradoc safe. While the other nine courts are splitting apart over the idea of a apocalyptic war, the two brothers now have to find a way for one of them to be pardoned and the other to not die while also preventing a war, and maybe even find out if Locke actually has intentions to kill his brother and follow through with prophecy or keep Caradoc safe…

Wine - How do they act when drunk? Yorick is a lightweight. Like, one shot and he's down. His species doesn't pair well with alcohol. If he wants to get drunk but not die of alcohol poisoning, he has to dilute it with something else. That being said, he is very goofy and sweet, but will definitely pass out at some point.

Cherry - Why did you create them? I don't remember, lol. They came into existence around 2021-2022, during my senior year of highschool, but didn't have a name until a few months later(was studying Hamlet 👀). I think I just wanted to make a jester character with a wild personality. The vampire qualities and non-human appearance came later. Pomegranate - Which myth would they relate to most? Hard to say. Maybe one where the hero takes revenge? He's very big on revenge, but not very big on reading, so he doesn't know that many mythical figures. I also don't know any 😅

ABOUT ME:

You can call me Beck or Nico, I'm a teen writer who used to be really active back in 2021/2022 but had a. really. really long writing slump... 😔. but I'm back now!! (I was chaotic-queer-disaster and nicola-writes.)

I love fantasy, horror, and queer stories. I also explore disability a lot in my work as someone with both born and acquired disabilities.

some of my favourite themes to explore are identity, loss/grief, hope, friendship, gender (especially in horror), the challenges of morality, and mental illness

My Projects:

Bad Things Happen - an apocalyptic horror novel. After a party, three young adults get into a particularly nasty car crash. It rips a small hole in the universe, and they begin to be plagued with identical strings of bad luck. Their luck gets worse and more expansive every day, and soon they're fighting to stop the world itself from decaying around them. [Status: draft zero.]

The Other Ones - a half-epistolary horror novel. A group of true crime podcasters go into the strange forest on the edge of town to investigate a disappearance from 2 years ago, only to emerge hours later--covered in blood, no memory of what happened, and accompanied by the missing girl. [Status: outlining.]

Suicide Ghosts - a film script about a trans boy who is sent to an all-girls school and makes friends with the ghost girl who haunts his dorm room. As the school year goes on, they discover corruption, more hauntings, and the horror of holding identities you never asked for. [Status: outlining.]

Untitled Fairytale WIP/"gfs" - YA fantasy series with dystopia undertones. If you've been around for awhile, you'll remember it as GFS/GFW1! A group of teenagers discover they're linked to an ancient prophecy that states they're cursed to awaken gods who have slept since the last divine war. If this happens, desolation is inevitable. They must find a way to avert the prophecy--while an unidentified figure is doing everything in their power to make it come true. [Status: rewriting/reworking.]

Is mutton stew alright?” His smile faded. “Oh…ah, if you could refrain from the mutton, that would be fine. Makoth do not consume animals who bear horns.” Her eyes went to his curled horns, and she felt the heat rise up in her neck. “Oh—Oh! I’m sorry, I—is chicken alright?”

“Family name?” Felix asks, head tilting with a curious angle.

Reign looks to Ezrik, unsure what that means.

“Your last name,” he explains. “Also called a family name or a surname.”

“Oh,” she murmurs. “Uhm, Lugden, I guess.” That is her name, technically, though it doesn’t feel like it. She’d prefer to only be known as Reign than to be linked to King Lugden. She already has his blood in her veins, and she doesn’t even want that much.

The other three wince when she says the name, as if hearing it causes them physical pain, but Felix’s grin doesn’t falter. “Oh, like the King? You’re one of his? Hard to believe he let you leave with these hooligans.” Felix grunts as he lowers himself to the forest floor, stretching his plump legs out in front of him and mirroring Deane’s position against the base of a tree.

“She’s not his,” Ezrik says through his teeth, and the hand not touching Reign curls into a fist.

The story of Bin, a crow plush toy animated by magic unknowingly bestowed to them by their guardian, the Princess of Seoviel. When they come to, the Princess has disappeared. Instinct kicks in, and Bin sets off on an adventure through kingdoms and forests to bring the Princess back. Nothing can stand between this crow and their Princess...maybe except the unfortunate mundanities of life.

Puppeteer

The story of Silas Andal, an uptight, taciturn professor teaching criminology at Veridian University. Everything seems ordinary, until a dive into a seemingly paranormal case makes him doubt everything he knew. In his desperate attept to see and find out more, he must ultimately face what has been staring back at him this whole time.

The story of Vitro, a floating eye and the astral realm's greatest curator (or so he says). He's had his fair share of adventures and prefers to settle down, but when people start to evaporate due to their echoes being stolen, he sets off on yet another adventure. Includes different realms of existence, venom-type symbiosis, echovores, and a ragtag duo determined to stop the extermination of the human race.

Dimiran

Hello everybody! The winner from our last poll has been cast. Today, we are learning more about the magic system!

Dimiran is the low risk, low-medium reward side of magic, however it takes a long time to learn. Translated, Dimiran represents ‘the art of spirit magic’. It is mostly used by the Alkans, as it shapes their ethics and morality.

There are four main spirits, each representing a different element. However, a new spirit is appointed during the books, and I’m thinking of adding more pre-established spirits on top of that.

How does it work?

The spirits, as appointed by a higher power, can control their given elements. However due to having no physical form, they cannot interact with anything in the physical world.

This means that those who are learning under the spirits will act as a medium rather than as a possessor of the spirit’s powers.

To control elements in the physical world, the spirit and their medium must learn to communicate so efficiently that they always know what the other wants to do. In short, they must learn to share a body.

This arrangement also allows both parties to deny the other control over elements.

O’bidya

O’bidya (oh-bid-ee-yah) is the water spirit. She is a glyptir, however her species has sadly been long extinct.

While being taught by her, she will promote self-reflection and empathy. She is often described as soft-hearted, and her magic is mostly used by healers.

However, when threatened she can be cold and destructive, making her element a powerful one if used correctly.

K’rami

K’rami (key-rah-me) is the lightning spirit. As you may guess, he is a zephyr. However, he lived long before the modern ones, and wields power that his species has lost to time and evolution.

While being taught by him, he will teach loyalty and acumen. He is often described as uncaring, making his element used mostly by fighters due to its fast and destructive power.

However, he will be sensitive to the needs of those he respects, and quietly help them in the right direction. Especially during crisis when a friend of his student has fallen, he will guide them to use his power in an attempt to resurrect their friends (much like a defibrillator).

T’kavi

T’kavi (tee-kah-vee) is the fire spirit. He takes the form of a gillzur. His species is extinct, however species descended from his remain.

While being taught by him, he will teach passion and strong-will. He is often described as arrogant, making him mostly used by fighters who refuse to give up in battle.

However, he finds himself inspired often, and encourages his students to become inspired by anything and everything. This allows others to be warmed by their constant inspiration and enthusiasm, literally or figuratively.

Mytirian

Mytirian (my-ti-re-an) is the earth spirit. He is a triglorin, which has sadly been long extinct.

While being taught by him, he will teach patience and confidence. He is often described as calm, making his element used more by tactical fighters.

However, when angered his power is the most destructive of the spirits, making him a formidable foe to even the strongest of elemental users. This helps keep the balance of peace in check, as his presence doesn’t allow the scale to tip too far one way or the other.

How do you reach the spirits?

To reach the spirits initially, one must be in a continual deep sleep. The Alkans create a mixture of plants designed to induce a temporary coma to help with the process.

One must also keep their mind fixed on their intent when sleeping. However, the spirits will usually know the intention either way.

Once contacted, the spirit will set them a trial, designed to see if they are ready to be taught magic. If passed, the spirit will converse with the being for a while until they wake up. After this, the spirit must be reached through meditation.

Hello Friends

good morning and welcome to the show! my name is ChewingOnMyLaptop and this is my writing blog. i write about cowboys, fantasy knights, failed hollywood starlets and - above all - gay people. because isn't that what it's really about?

this blog is currently in its infancy and i surely have little idea what i'm doing here but buckle in because it'll be a good time. i've put a description of my current WIPs below :)

Current WIPs:

The Destruction of Abilene

a film about a cold, people-averse cowboy named Hank Harrison who finds himself responsible for delivering a strange little boy named Jesse Sinclair to his grandpa safe and sound. but this journey gets a whole lot more difficult when he realizes they’re being stalked by a pack of demons eager to feed on whomever is deemed guilty. it's set in the town of Abilene, Texas in 1910 and features demons in the shape of coyotes, farming lesbians, and - of course - gut-wrenching guilt and religious trauma!

The Prophesied Soldier

was once going to be a fantasy film but turned into a limited series when i realized i cannot world-build enough in 90 minutes. features a former prophecy-selected Chosen One named Cassian who is trying desperately to escape the fantasy kingdom he lives in and avoid being caught in another prophecy. he's joined by his lover Alaric who is the crown prince of said kingdom. during the journey, the pair find out that the Lord's Council has been attacking magic-users in the prince's absence and has been using the newest prophecy as an excuse to wipe out those they fear. this project is much gayer than TDOA but also features many flashbacks to traumatic events and the ever-classic emotional argument in the rain! fun!

Public Relations

finally, a novel! this one follows an actress named Maeve Samson on the ten-year anniversary of the film that made her famous. since her break into stardom, she has had very very very limited success in her career and decides to create a little ruse to get the attention back on her. she enters a fake PR relationship with a former co-star in order to reignite hollywood's interest in the both of them. there's just one little problem... she has a real-life girlfriend. but Archana's cool with it, right? it's just pretend after all! do we think this is gonna go well for her? NO! no, it's not. again, get ready for gay people, mental breakdowns, and many bad decisions being made
