the married couple were great for each other , even if on the surface they could sometimes look like ying and yang , chalk and cheese , oil and water ā jaden brought out the fun side of his wife and led her on spontaneous adventures , to not get worked up over the little things and to enjoy reality for what it was . ezra , for the older male , was the tether he needed to keep him from floating off into space . she was the level head he often lacked , the logical side of their shared brain to ( hopefully ) keep him out of trouble that his boisterous nature made almost inevitable . ā of course i donāt know thai !! i donāt even know any tsalagi , like at all , and i know i probably should ā my grandma always tried to teach me a few words whenever we went and saw her but none of them stuck in my brain . iāll have to brush up on it , i know sheād be super mad if our kids arenāt even a little bilingual . i can say some rude words in spanish though , if that counts ,Ā ā being the ever excited child that he was jaden bought a few guidebooks and english to thai dictionaries in order to brush up on the phrases heād need , but the language still fell from his lips in an extremely rusty fashion which made the reception staff giggle to themselves at the sheer butchering of whatever heād been trying to say .Ā ā there has to be at least one elephant that doesnāt have all four legs , there are thousands right ..Ā ā the gentle rubbing of his thigh muscles caused the boy to wince and shift uncomfortably as he was spread out on his back , whimpering and scrunching the tip of his nose like a disgruntled feline . pain was something heād come very well acquainted with over the last few months , an unwelcome third wheel to his and ezraās relationship , and although he was an expert now of ignoring the twinges and phantom aches there were moments like these where such discomfort couldnāt be ignored .

Sheād gotten a lot of questions over the last few months, usually pertaining to their relationship. Back in Maine, when Jaden was still bed-ridden and the nurses had to interact with her every day, the number one question she heard wasĀ āhow do you two make it work?ā. Even from the outside Jaden and Ezra were total opposites, their personalities formulated to clash but instead helping them blend in together, sometimes making it seem like they were only one person. She'd picked up on aspects of his humor, twisting it into her own version, which was much more dry and sarcastic. Sheād told the story of how theyād met at least a thousand times by now, always eliciting the same reaction from people and ultimately making her blush; it didnāt matter how different the pair was, because Jaden was the love of Ezraās life, and no amount of differences would change that. His small outburst made her giggle softly, fingers halting for just a moment so she could keep her gaze focused on his face.Ā āWell I donāt know! I know it feels like weāve been together for ten years, but itās been a significantly less amount of time, so technically Iām still getting to know you.ā The words were true, but they didnāt make her smile falter at all; learning new things about the elder male always tickled the little blonde pink, her gaze going soft as she looked at him.Ā āThe only other language I know is French, and thatās because I didnāt like the high school Spanish teacher, so I avoided taking her class as best as I possibly could. But, Iām ready and willing to learn whatever new language I have to in order for our kids to be bilingual. Hell, maybe theyāll even be multilingual if I can remember anything that I learned in school.ā Her voice went soft as she noticed his wince, the whimper making her heart pang and her hands to pull back immediately.Ā āI think thatās enough rubbing for today,ā she muttered, wiggling her way out from beneath his leg and crawling up until she was resting beside him, her head on the pillows.Ā āHopefully that helps relax your muscles a little.ā
