Hi Saintlilim, I'm not entirely sure because it's not mentioned on your tumblr but you're the one who drew (maybe wrote too?) the free visual novel "Cupid", right? And the absolutely beautiful comic "Eros conquers all"? I LOVED both, that's why I'm curious! You should toptally mention it everywhere to brag - if that's really you! If not, I like your tumblr anyway ;)

I've always had a problem marketing myself. I fear taking up space and asserting myself. I tend to disappear, reappear, disappear during the course of my art career. It's a condition lol. I'm trying to work on it, feeling like I deserve to be here and create. Anyway, I've recently realized it's a deep-rooted problem connected to childhood trauma. Trying to work through it and build confidence again!
Thank you for the kind words and for loving my projects. I'm super proud of them! It's just a shame they belong to a weird creator so they don't get marketed properly haha.

Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein is about forgiving the person who brought you into this world without your permission when you do not want to be alive, and about forgiving yourself for being alive and accepting your life free of guilt and that is genuinely the most beautiful, validating thing I have ever seen in a film.

so many mental health issues these days are due to the fact that we no longer put the gargoyles on buildings that used to scare away the evil spirits that cause mental illness
i am not articulate enough to make this sound coherent rn. but the cycle of familial violence portrayed in gdt's frankenstein, set against the backdrop of the cycle of violence in society with the constant references to the wars. the creature finding beauty and connection in nature, feeding the deer until it is shot dead. his speech about the wolves and the sheep, how they don't hate each other, it's just in their nature to kill and be killed.
it seems like these cycles will never end but they can. you can turn your ship around. you can forgive your father. you can walk into the snow and feel the sun upon your face. you can, you can, you can.
