HSBC YEA Winners Receives Prize Money

The winning team from HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards 2010-2011 Bangladesh, team Stalwarts –starring Upoma Dutta, Shehreen Kamal and Nusrat Sharmin Moutusi recently received their prize money of HKD 40,000 from Sairam Santharam - Chief Technology and Services Officer of HSBC Bangladesh. Sairam congratulated team members and praised their efforts in upholding the talent and potential of Bangladesh to the world.

HSBC Bangladesh Wins ICMAB Award

HSBC Bangladesh was awarded the second position in the foreign commercial bank category in the Best Corporate award 2011 at a ceremony at Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka. Senior management of the bank including Mahbub Ur Rahman, Corporate Banking Head , Md. Shafquat Hossain Head of RBWM, Aditya Narayan Singh Deo Head of Human Resources and Sairam Santharam, Chief Technology and Services Officer, were present on the occasion.

Giving Back to the Environment

At HSBC, along with the dedication for providing excellent service to the organization, our colleagues are also committed towards contributing for the environment where we live in. At the India Centre, EarthWatch has collaborated with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and is contributing to their scientific research on Western Ghats forest range (under Karnataka State) where we went for our project.

DAK HTS Newsletter Quiz Winner

Niazul Haque from DAK IT has correctly answered the quiz published in 1st issue of DAK HTS Newsletter and was selected as the winner of HTS Trivia through lottery. He received a 16 GB flash drive as prize from DAK CTSO Sairam Santharam in an informal program held at Anchor Tower on 27 December 2012.

DAK HTS Meets CTSO International

To recognize the outstanding effort and commitment of HTS staff and to provide an opportunity of meeting CTSO ASP International, Peter Clark, a session followed by a Barbecue Dinner was arranged at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka on 18 October 2011. The event was attended by a team from DAK HTS. DAK CTSO Sairam Santharam thanked Peter for visiting Bangladesh and expressed his appreciation for the initiatives and efforts that have been taken by DAK HTS so far.

DAK Fraud Risk Awareness Campaign 2011

As a part of the campaign, DAK Security and Fraud Risk team visited all 13 RBWM branches and conducted training sessions for the RBWM front line staff. The enthusiastic response and involved participation from all branch and sales staff were quite overwhelming. The objective of the campaign was to adequately prepare DAK RBWM front line staff for fighting and deterring potential fraud attempts. More than 300 RBWM staff received training under this campaign.

DAK Anchor Tower MER Inauguration

The newly set-up DAK Main Equipment room has been inaugurated on 28 Dec 2011. DAK CEO Sanjay Prakash has officially inaugurated the MER in a ceremony held at Anchor Tower. Chief Technology and Services Officer Sairam Santharam, Chief Risk Office Johnson Ks Chang, Chief Finance Officer Nayeem R Chowdhury, Head of RBWM Shafquat Hossain, Head of Marketing Talukdar Noman Anwar and other executives were also present at the ceremony.

Agreement Signing between GP and HSBC

An agreement between Grameenphone, the largest telecom operator in Bangladesh and HSBC has recently been signed. From now-on, GP will route its countrywide payments through HSBCnet using Bangladesh Electronic Fund Transfer Network. Raihan Shamsi, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Grameenphone, and Sairam Santharam, Chief Technology and Services Officer of HSBC has signed the deal on the respective organisation’s behalf.

DAK HTS Heroes Awarded in “HSBC Annual Staff Awards 2011”

To recognise the outstanding performance of the staff throughout 2011, HSBC Bangladesh has organised the “Annual Staff Award 2011” on 10 December 2011 at Grand Ball Room, Radisson Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka. Staff from HTS who proved excellence in their performance and lived up the HSBC values were rewarded as well in the presence of Chief Technology and Services Officer Sairam Santharam.
