one thing i love thinking about in outlast trials is just how wasteful and pointless it all is. obviously the erasure and loss of human life and desecration of the dead even after is the most important thing but sometimes i think about the really small stuff. the graphic design for brands like kvc color studios and duck duck & goose that don't exist. the bulk purchases of film reels, or buckets, or cranks, all the everyday objects whose manufacturers will never know what's come of them. who is designing the ex-pop's costumes? who drew the blueprints for the night vision goggles? who stamps symbols on keys? do the costume stores know where their uncle sam outfit went? who records lines for the mannequins? who measured the seating capacity of studio 4? what landfill did they pull the discarded police cars from? who built the props for the fun park rides?

none of these questions need answers at all, but i feel like there's an entire other layer of tragedy to this game stepping back to think of just how wide its scope is and how, presently, none of what occurred at sinyala is even known. maybe there'll be an obscure true crime book on the buffalo minotaur if they're lucky, or tapes of the mother gooseberry hour at a yard sale, but nothing of what actually came of those killers.

i like to imagine there's one, singular, cosmically small loose end that was never tied. maybe a poster in the tv studio made it to the outside world and is regarded as a mildly interesting piece of 1950s lost media, for op asked all over the internet but nobody's heard of a talk show host named bob venier. or an escaped reagent stuck an unused bunny key in their pocket and the medical examiners performing their autopsy will wonder what it opened and shrug. nothing big, nothing that comes out to anything beyond a "huh, that's weird" 65 years later, but any evidence, however small, that what happened in sinyala was real

#sorrynotsorry but if you draw Franco without his disability/head trauma or smooth his head to be just. Bald. you dont care that much abt him . Srry. His disability is a vital part of his character and story. Plus it’s a bit sick that you’re erasing his disability, ‘art styles’ arent excuses, take the time to translate it into your style. If you cared, you’d take the time.
