omg you would be correct.. i legiterally just bought a "persian" (it's not authentic but i would love to travel to get artisanal rugs someday!!!!) rug for my uni dorm wtf

hmm ok about the dorms in my marauders dr.. i haven't really planned anything out && honestly i don't know if i would change much about them?? i sort of like the idea that they're all pretty much the same to give it that boarding school feel..... im guilty sorry :P my bed is def close to one of the windows!! and we the windowsills are like deep (?? wide) enough for us to sit in them but they aren't necessarily made to sit in.. ahem. head girl dorm is definitely MUCH nicer than regular quarters. i think the bed slash mattress situation is much more comfortable too (fear not i will def be charming my regular mattress to be as soft as my bed at potter manor)

there are some dorm floors with non-stone walls && some have secret passages if you push them enough. a direct path to the kitchens.... very hush hush though like u dont even tell your dormmates about it because what if someone tells on you,, ew.

okok the common room. ik we talked a bit about it before but it really does smell like grandma's house but in a nice way that is almost comforting not in like a bad super stuffy way. there's one window that doesn't open all the way and nobody can fix it. turkish lamps everywhere because i say so. it's very warmlit and not like sterile/hospital-like but then again i dont think hogwarts is like that at all.... so yeah!! also beautiful stained glass. and the paintings are all boring they go to sleep so early && they bother you when you're pulling an all-nighter in the commonroom
