Drag Path (TØP) reminds me of Philza and Fit.
Whenever the ‘devil’ or ‘devil’s eyes’ is mentioned, i see it correlate to one of three things. Cucurucho, Madiago, or Ender King. Whoever’s perspective you see it from.
“I dug my heels into the gravel, as evidence for you to unravel.” This could imply either of them. But, boots, such as Fit’s, dig into the gravel. Guess who collects evidence? Unravels it? Studies and collects as much as physically possible? Philza. And, a man like Fit would be smart enough to drag his heels in gravel. Knowing that, Phil would catch on. That Phil would inspect and know it’s him. Only Philza would know it’s him.
“When i see the devil’s eyes, i’ll look away, and smile wide. You found me. Cause then I’ll know you’re also there. Cause proof is in the adversare. You found me.” They always find each-other. Philza and Fit always cross paths. They find each-other. No matter what. They find each-other without trying. (@isa-ghost has made a whole fic about this, which, i suggest you read. (hi isa sorry for @‘ing you but the people need to know)) They are drawn to eachother. They are drawn to find eachother.
“Would you.. please, please hurry?” This could mean Phil or Fit asking for help. Crying out for the other. Maybe it could mean Phil crying out for Fit to save him from Cucurucho or the Enderking’s hands. Or, It’s Fit crying for help from Cucurucho or Madiago’s grasp, perhaps? Or; maybe, you can see it in Purgatory’s eyes. Phil crying for Fit to hurry. Or; Vice versa. (Fit, however doesn’t cry. So; he’d shout.)
“A drag path, etched in the surface. As evidence, i left there on purpose. A sad sack, laying on the surface.” Fit drags his heels. Making a path only Phil would know to follow. Philza would be the only one to ever know to follow. Fit would only ever trust Philza to follow.
“Can you find me?” This can go either way. This can be Philza saying; that when he’s possessed, deep inside, can Fit find the real him? Can he find him? Or, perhaps, Phil’s motionless body. (After Enderking endeavors). Can Fit find him there?
Or perhaps, in purgatory when Philza loses himself, Can Fit find him? Can Fit find the real him? Can Fit find him?
Or, It can be Fit saying, “Can you find me?” While he is being held in Madiago’s grasp. Can Phil find out? Can Phil find him? Will they cross paths in 2b2t?
Can either of them find each-other?
- yes. They can. They always do. That’s the secret. That’s why they’re so special. They find each-other. No matter if accidental or purposeful.
I’ll reiterate things, and touch where I haven’t, or go over more things.
“A sad sack, laying on the surface.” This can imply Phil’s dead bodies in Purgatory. This can imply Fit’s own (rarer) dead bodies. A sad sack, if I know correct, is usually a body in a bag. So, it fits well for Phil more.
Philza *is* the sad sack on the surface. Can Fit find him? Can he? Yes. He can.
“I dug my heels into the gravel, as evidence for you to unravel.” Can also be Phil digging his own heels, and Fit following. Fit also is a man who collects evidence and inspects it. (Me saying Phil does this first, is a reference to the Eggs going missing. He was quick to instantly gogogogo and get evidence.)
Phil drags his heels. Fit follows. He unravels it. (REFERENCE: Fit asks Phil about the ender on his shoulders. Fit knows something is off. He knows something is up. He unravels it bit by bit. He follows the evidence.)
“Can you find me? (Can you find me?)”
Both of them want to know the answer to that question. Will they be able to find each-other? Will they meet again? Will they be able to find the other in places of emergency?
In a way, I see them as asking eachother the same question. “Can you find me?” The question seems like it can be easily answered. “Yes, I can.” But, it isn’t an easy answer.
Can he find him? Can he find the other? That’s your true question. When one is hidden away. With no way to get to them or find them, can they find the other? When they are off the radar. When they are hidden from all life itself.
“Can you find me?”
But, they both know the answer. Yes. They can. They always do. They. Always. Do.
They both can mean any lyric. You can see it from every perspective.
“And then the sun begins to rise. We made it through the darkest night. You found me.” Phil and Fit finally being able to hug eachother. Being able to chat. This can mean both out of character, and in character. Perhaps, after QSMP purgatory. Or, maybe, after everything was said and done, and they could just smile. After everything, after every tragedy, every battle; every fail or mishap,
They never left each-other. They always found each-other. They found each-other.
They made it through the darkest nights. Purgatory, losing the eggs, the island switch, the Ender King saga—Etc.
They made it.
And, in my eyes, They’re soulmates. Whether you view it as platonic or romantic. They are CANON soulmates to me; your honor!

I hope this makes sense. Take my sleepy rambling. I believe this took me…. Thirty minutes to write. As I am ending at exactly… 2am!
