Was at Costco recently where they were sampling vegan burgers
This one woman took a sample, was about to eat it, then when the employee said āYeah so these are vegan, dairy and egg freeā¦ā the woman audibly gagged and threw the sample out without trying it.
Like firstā¦wasteful af. Second: why does the knowledge that itās vegan suddenly make it disgusting?? Ridiculous.
āThe fact we can sit down and eat a piece of chicken without thinking about the horrendous conditions under which chickens are bred is a sign of the dangers of capitalism. How capitalism has colonized our minds.ā

Animals should not require our permission to live on earth. Animals were given the right to be here long before we arrived.

"but beyond meat is unhealthy" first of all i'm not plant based for my health. second of all iTS A BURGER PATTY third of all it's yummy, give me some
i like annoying vegans :) i like that you aren't quiet about the things you care about
Was so busy over the holidays (SO FUCKIN BUSY) I forgot to show you guys my vegan chartooterie board
cow leather is not in fact more sustainable than vegan leather and also it fucking stinks
people on tumblr will just make up a vegan that doesnāt exist and then get sooo mad at them
Canāt believe vegans want us to buy all our colonial palm oil micro plastics from quinoa child slaves, I am furious
Had a friend tweet recently that they canāt go vegan because milk alternatives are sometimes made with nuts/legumes.
I didnāt interact, but it is frustrating to see that argument in 2022 when thereās literally so many nut/legume/soy free options availableā¦
The Beyond Orange Chicken from Panda Express is amazing, Iām literally obsessed lol
Visited an animal sanctuary recently. Almost all of these animal friends were rescued from factory farms.
Please see animals as living beings, they want to live as much as we do and are not here for us to eat or exploit šš¼š
More vegan food lol
This time from an animal sanctuary Fall Fest I went to 2 weeks ago. My fave vegan food truck was there along with an ice cream truck šā„ļø
We got a Next Level Burger in Denver recently & Christ is it DELICIOUS
Vegan food is amazing & yāall canāt ever tell me otherwise šš¼
Whatās more, the survey found that meat consumption was greater among higher-income people. Those earning more than $70,000 annually were least likely to have veg diets, with 5 percent being vegetarian and only 2 percent being vegan. This flies in the face of the belief that a plant-based diet is expensive and only achievable for the affluent.
I canāt find the citation on 50% of vegans earn less than 30K a year (Iām not an expert data reader so maybe itās there), but itās true that according to the poll of over 1,000, people are more likely to be vegan/vegetarian the less they earn a year. This probably has something to do with the fact that younger people (who hold less wealth) are statically more veg and more liberal.
Proof that itās not a rich person thing though. Far from it.
also itās amazing how a lot of leftists are all about respecting personal dietary commitments, unless that dietary preference is veganism for ethical reasons, in which case they trot out weird straw man arguments to try to convince you that choosing not to consume animal products is secretly anti-leftist praxis
And if you tell those same people that veganism lines up with your other beliefs and morals (such as for me as a Jew: we cannot achieve ātikkun olamā or peace if we continue to needlessly slaughter animals), then you are obviously lying and mixing things up.
Because you canāt have things overlap or intersect. Mostly and especially when it comes to veganism and animal rights.
