So um, hi guys, so it was all rainy outside and stuff and I was being in the trashfrom the curb and suddenly this weird guy f*cking walked into my houses?? He keeps yelling and calling himself the WARRIOR PRIEST OF SIGMAR ’(I don’t know wtf that is) and stuff and he wouldn’t leave! I don’t know what to do! Should I call the police or something?!??

Anyway, eventually he found himself into a corner and so I threw a blanket at him (from a safe distance) and slide him a grilled cheese and capri sun… he seem to have calmed down but I’m still very concerned. What should I do with him?! If you guys have any tips or advice of what I should do with this freak pls let me know in the comments 😣🫩!

Peeping Tom Chuck Vs Magneto

My dude Magneto is home alone, minding his own business and reading a book. Something isn't right; *someone* is watching. Leah Williams made this as queer as possible and I love it. "Sigh. Enjoying the view?" The *sigh* really sells it as a situation Mags has dealt with before. Man takes his reading glasses off and everything, to pace the halls talking to his loser husband. This is why he wears the helmet.

The subtext becomes text as Mags explicitly points out *decades* of 'recognising... telepathic needling.' He shouts his awareness of the Trial of Magneto's events then wigs out as his mindscape incorporates some MC Escher shit. Ironically, he knows he didn't kill Wanda and so does Hope. It's Xavier who's out of the loop on this one, strung along by their excellent performances. Mags was so committed to the bit Pietro beat him into this coma right here.

Magneto only detecting Xavier's familiar presence then seeing Hope's GIANT head makes it even funnier IMO. She's borrowing Xavier's powers so they can both probe for guilt over Wanda's murder. Xavier's telepathic communication often manifests as his giant bald head invading people's privacy; so Hope's does as well. After this experience it shouldn't be surprising that Hope is the Quiet Council member who explicitly references Mags and Chuck as loser husbands. She's seen the receipts.

Erik & Jewish culture

An Erik headcanon of mine is that he sort of finds a middle ground of his Jewishness somewhere in the overthinking abyss of the dofp solitary confinement. My certification to construct this headcanon is as follows: I'm Jewish :) Also some of this is based off of my grandfather, who was born to Polish Jews, raised orthodox, and has since transitioned to reform.

Basically what I mean by "middle ground" is that he falls into a very culturally Jewish mindset. From what we see of his backstory, Erik most likely grew up fully Orthodox, meaning that (when he could) he went to temple regularly, did not work on shabbat, kept full kosher, the whole thing - although he likely did not have a bar mitzvah. Erik also strikes me as the type to be quick to anger at god himself. I think he probably had a very difficult time reconciling with his heritage after the war, especially since all of that happened at such a formative age for him. That he would constantly be going back and forth on what he believed, what he felt, what he practiced.

What I believe he landed on is sort of transitioning to being very very culturally Jewish. Kind of the equivalent of a conservative or edge-of-reform Jew. Likely would not take the full shabbat off, but would simmer down a bit for the day, maybe make some challah. Similarly, he doesn't go to temple regularly but he tries to make it for the high holidays. He'll fast on Yom Kippur, he'll say quiet prayer over dinner on shabbat - whether it's fancy or not - but he places the most emphasis on family time and generational stories. On Passover, he spends more time acting out the tales of the Haggadah to the kids than he does making sure everyone remembers the prayers. If he's living with Charles, he'll teach him all the stories. He follows kosher when he's not allowed to eat something (pork, shrimp, etc), but he's stopped caring about separating meat and dairy products, let alone waiting hours in between each. He places out memorial candles for his parents, sister, and any fallen friends every year and repeats a quick prayer before going about his day.

In short, Erik cares most about his culture and his traditions - far more than he'll ever care about prayers or god.
