hi! so, I originally found you on Instagram like an hour ago and was brought to tears by seeing an indigenous woman as one of the historical mermaids you've done and I just want to say it brought me to tears. like, truly, had me breaking down and sobbing because of how seen I feel. I believe its more Navajo than anything else, but the turquoise jewelry and wrapped hair are more than enough for me to see myself in your art. I'm a Pueblo native, so it's not even specifically my culture, but it still invoked such a strong emotion from me regardless. Please know that your art is treasured to those who view it and see themselves in your work. thank you so so much for your historical drawings. I hope I can at some point get a print of this work! <3
