What have i done so far?

Well…. a lot of staring at the books.

I am studying. I really am trying to get back into a routine. In the name of "changing the scenery will help me study," I came back to the hostel. Has it helped?

Yes. and also no.

Every time I sit down, my mind decides to wander off on its own little vacation. I zone out constantly. I did delete every social media app that was distracting me though, and honestly?

It's helping a lot.

Anatomy is going surprisingly well. Physiology is... okay. Biochemistry, however, has once again decided to become Future Me's problem.

At this rate, it'll probably get the traditional "one day before the exam" treatment. Some habits refuse to die.

I also checked my prelim scores, and somehow I did way better than I expected for someone who basically started studying ten days before the exam. Pleasantly surprised. Slightly concerned.

I'm just... tired.

I don't even want amazing grades anymore l just want the exams to be over. I want to go home, spend time with my family and friends, sleep without setting alarms, read a book that isn't written by Guyton or Satyanarayan, and remember what it feels like to have hobbies.

College is so different from school. Somewhere during first year, I drifted. I don't talk to many of my old friends anymore, l stopped making time for the things I loved, and sometimes it feels like l've been so busy trying to become someone trying to adjust that I forgot to be me.

Maybe that's okay for now.

Maybe surviving first year is enough.

I'm hoping this break after unis gives me a chance to find those pieces of myself again.

Anyways...

AHHHHH.

Fuck exams.

today i'm working on my theoretical base model! still very much out of my depth with psychology literature

I had a meeting with my supervisor this morning to discuss my program plan. I like her and the department seems like it’ll be a good fit!! I’m gonna do some research ahead of time on the subject of my first course so I can be ready when classes start. :)
