Axl Rose’s daughter
She sat in front of her big, pink vanity, looking in the mirror at a face she could never get used to. Inside she still felt as if she were still seven years old, sitting in her father’s lap, watching tv or listening to his new song he had just released. She missed those days, when everything was simple, easy. Now everyday she woke up struggling to get out of bed.
It seemed she had been struggling with a lot of things lately. Brushing her teeth, washing her hair, remembering to drink water. It was all a struggle for her. Especially the addiction she had recently picked back up again. It was supposed to be a thing she just did when she partied, she had told herself. That was the one rule she made for herself.
Of course, it started to blur into her daily routine. She would wake up, eventually crawl out of bed, sit at her vanity, pull open the little draw and pull out the small baggie filled with cocaine. Right now she sat there, wondering when her father would eventually find out. “Not today” she thought.
She swept back her long, red hair behind her ears as she made a line on the vanity and snorted it, tilting her head back so she wouldn’t have a nose bleed. She wiped the excess off of her nose and the vanity, closing and putting the baggie back into the little draw.
“Ivy! We’re gonna be late!” Her father yells from downstairs. She closes her eyes gently, dreading this appearance that they had to make tonight. There was a new club opening up in L.A that one of Axl’s friends had started and the guy basically begged Axl to be apart of the grand opening tonight. So of course, her father had agreed and wanted her to come along as well.
Ivy stands up from the vanity, not caring that her hair was slightly knotted and greasy, or that her eyeliner was smudged from the night before. She went to her wardrobe and pulled out a worn out Rolling Stones tee shirt that was her father’s years ago, grabbing a pair of very short, ragged denim shorts to put on as well. Once she had put her clothes on, she grabbed a leather jacket and a pair of doc martens to put on.
She didn’t spare a glance in the mirror, tired of looking at herself as she through open her door and put her sunglasses on, not wanting to deal with the paparazzi. Her boots made loud thumps on the stairs as she took her time coming down them to get to her father.
“Ready.” She said, looking at her dad through her sunglasses. “Took you long enough, let’s go.” He replies sarcastically, starting to head towards the front door. The two of them hop into their limo and head to the club.
