In the closet or out, remember... You are loved, you are beautiful, you are important, and you are valued and valid. Be true to you. 😊

Well what are they?
So glad you asked, bestie
-we're all very very pretty and also hot
-most of us are stomach achingly hilarious
-we remind other women that womanhood and femininity is more than pain and suffering
-twirling a dress or skirt for the first time
-twirling a dress or skirt for the thousandth time
-making your gender and it's expression all your own
-learning how to do makeup and showing off your skills at your own pace and at your own discretion (i.e. it's not forced on us)
-the absolute Joy of growing boobs, should we pursue hrt
-trans girl boobs are, on average firmer than cis women's boobs because we tend to grow them later in life, and are a bit more responsible about wearing bras and having ones that fit us, so there's less sag over all
-being called baby girl for the first and the thousandth time and it always melting your heart
-gender euphoria
-finding a name and pronouns that you feel fit you and give you a sense of comfort and freedom you've never had before
-the euphoria of learning who you are mire and more every day
-the euphoria of being ma'am'ed over the phone for the first time
-the euphoria of being ma'am'ed in person for the first time
-the euphoria of finding people who see you and respect you as a woman regardless of how you look or sound or pass. Who love and respect you for the woman you are with no hidden cruelty
-challenging the gender binary by just existing and breathing (may we bring about its collapse by simply smiling)
-the joy of growing your hair out for the first time and seeing what you look like with it like that.
-hair cuts and finding a style you really like
-learning more about your sexuality by learning more about your gender
-finding that post transition you keep a lot of your same interests because you really are the same person after all, but you sit with them so differently now. Almost more authentically. Suddenly coding is now sexy, and playing video games is invigorating. Now you approach all these activities you grew up doing with the perspective that you're a woman doing these things and for some reason it feels so right and so euphoric
-realizing that not only is it okay to cry, but it has always been okay to cry
-deciding which parts of masculinity you want to keep and which parts of femininity you want to keep and simply dropping the rest
-showing everyone around you that they could approach gender the same way
-for my visibly trans girls, being a beacon of safety and recognition for any trans people (closeted or not) in any room you walk into that knows you're trans.
-intimately learning the struggles of misogyny and approaching these issues with a more informed and nuanced view
-twirling your dress (gonna keep saying it i love it so much)
-i cannot stress enough the depth of self knowledge that comes with recognizing that the gender the world has assigned you is so intensely and immeasurably incorrect. There's so much power in reclaiming your Self from the status quo
-learning the potentially new ways in which you recieve love, give love, and feel loved.
-communicating your new understandings of yourself and your love languages to those you love
-hearing someone say "I love you" and believing them for once
-finding a way to love yourself and your body regardless of the fear and shame you once held for yourself, or maybe even still hold
-looking in the mirror and recognizing the reflection for the first time
-trans poetry (God created trans people for the same reason they created grapes and not wine, to allow humanity to partake in the divine act of creation)
I could seriously keep going.
There's so much hardship in being a trans woman, but there's so so so much light. So much freedom. So much... relief and understanding and beauty. Being trans is like tapping a wellspring of self knowledge, wisdom, creativity, and breathing fresh air for the first time. For all the pain for all the suffering for all the struggles and self loathing and dysphoria there is just as much love and freedom and bravery and self love and euphoria. It's an experience of balance and expression and... endurance; its an experience of creation and of the fluidity of the human body. An experience of the importance of gender. An experience of you. Being trans is not new to humanity, there have been trans people atleast as long as there has been people. Breathe in the history of your identity. Exhale your doubt and shame. Breathe in the importance of your identity. Exhale your doubt shame. Breathe in love. Exhale Fear. Do you feel that pounding in your chest? The tingle in your neck? You are alive, and you know who you are. What a time to be alive. What a time to be who you are.

This is exactly why we run this blog- there's so much pain associated with the trans experience- but that's just society trying to profit off a sob story without hearing us. There's so much beauty to being trans. There's so much love and life when you realize you're trans. There's good here too, I promise all of you. ❤❤❤
I'd kiss you myself, if I could @elliotjonesss

Life is so confusing.
You grow up being told this and that and having to conform to whats expected of you. You make choices and then have to stick with them.
Sometimes I wish I had a rewind button on life to go back and change decisions. Life would be very different, but would be in a more accepting place.
Stay strong and stay safe. 💋
