I love when sports anime goes into really specific detail behind the mechanics of a certain technique or style that a character uses. Like “this character has a flexible shoulder that lends to his pitching technique” or “this character specializes in a serve with an erratic trajectory.”

I also love that Birdie Wing wholeheartedly ignores this and just bullshits its way through the explanation of every technique shown.

“Eve changed her stance and now her over the rainbow shot surpasses my cannon blast technique!”

In what way did her stance change? We don’t fucking know. Does this have anything to do with real golf? Hell no. Eve said it from the very beginning “I’m not playing golf, I’m just hitting a ball with a stick.” Birdie Wing does not care one single ounce about real golf and I love it for that.
