I’m still trying to process everything while losing my mind if that’s even possible 🫠

What made this experience more memorable was the audience reactions in my screening lol everyone was so in sync, from the laughter to the gasps 😆

Heck I think I gasped like 20 times 😂😂

As someone who’s loved animation her whole life, watching something as special as this grow beyond the indie space is really remarkable ✨

Because I’m a good noodle, I’ll be editing this post with my full thoughts in 2 weeks after ep 9 comes out on YouTube 🫡

It’s a *Toy* Story 🤠

You knew it! My new original song “I Knew It, I Knew You” for Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 will be yours on June 5th. I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story movie. I fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?

Finished Book Lovers which is also my first Emily Henry book 📚🔖

Though I did watch the movie adaptation of People We Meet on Vacation and the When Harry Met Sally vibes were on point lol

The Nora Ephron influence is so transparent in Emily Henry’s works. When I saw the MC of this book is named Nora, I knew it was on purpose 👌

It also helps that the cover includes high praise from Taylor Jenkins Reid, author of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo aka one of my fave books of all time ✨

I will never get tired of enemies to lovers, and this time it’s set in the world of books. But it’s also a love story between sisters, dealing with grief, and learning to be the hero of your own story 💛

Finally getting into the Twisted Tales series, starting with Part of Your World (obviously lol) and it completely surprised me!

Seeing Ariel mature and actually become Queen of the Sea was such a different feeling 👑

I also loved her romance with Eric and it felt so earned because they had to rebuild their connection after five years apart while dealing with so much trauma 🥲

I definitely didn't expect it to turn so dark at times. Ariel’s intense confrontations with Ursula were crazy, and that final battle caught me off guard, with Ursula being just utterly ruthless 🔥

My only critique? The sisters deserved better writing. It’s hard to believe Ariel had to shoulder the burden of saving the kingdom entirely on her own 🧜‍♀️🔱

That being said, I know there's a graphic novel adaptation of this book out there so I might need to check it out too ✨

This Is How You Lose the Time War is genuinely one of the most unique love stories I’ve ever read. It takes an epic sci-fi dystopian war and grounds it in a beautiful sapphic romance, where two enemies write love letters to each other across time and it’s told in the most complex, gorgeous prose 🏳️‍🌈✨

I gasped so many times reading those letters, especially when they started falling for each other 🥹🥹

I also felt extremely validated when the authors revealed the book was partly inspired by Steven Universe! Red and Blue are such perfect parallels to Ruby and Sapphire ❤️💙
