what's the easiest way to plot with somebody?

Well, I don’t really think there’s a default easiest, anon. Everybody has a way that works for them, I’m usually a wing it RP-er. But, if I think about it, I can try and give you some tips!

Try and do a couple of threads with that person, especially if you are an OC to establish a relationship between the two characters.

If you’re like me and very shy, maybe get the person’s Skype and get comfortable with them. That way it’s not as awkward if you’re trying to plot and have nothing to say.

If you have a specific plot or au you want to do and that person reblogged it, don’t be afraid to message them and say ‘hey, I was up for doing ________ plot and were curious if you were interested in doing it with me?’

Don’t be afraid if it takes a while for them to respond! I know the nervousness of waiting for people to respond, so don’t worry about it. If the person hasn’t really been on since you’ve sent the message, they probably have not seen your message. There’s also the possibility of tumblr being a dicky doo and eating the message.

Try and be as comfortable as you can around people. I know that’s a strange tip, but being comfortable with other muns is always a plus when you would like to start, that way you aren’t really uncomfortable sending messages in to the mun you wish to plot with.

i'm sorry this might be a stupid question but i'm just really interested~ how would i start roleplaying? i'm not sure exactly what to do, do I have to make a separate blog for my character (i think it's called a muse but I have no idea)? i'm sorry i'm so confused but i really wanna start roleplaying because it seems so fun and people are so friendly ^-^

It’s not a stupid question at all~! It’s a lot easier than you think it might be though. 

You’re right, you have to make a separate blog for your muse, I would recommend a whole new blog in general — Side blogs aren’t usually the best for RPing.

Before you do start, make sure you find a decent enough theme for your blog to make your roleplays easily readable, and has a few links for you to make a Rules/Guideline page and any other pages you’d like to add for easier access.

After that, make sure your rules/guidelines are completely done and everything you needed is on there.

Then make icons. The usual icon size for RPers is 100 x 100 and they’re fairly easy to make. Just Google screenshots of your muse, or get your own somehow ^^ Don’t steal other people’s icons. Sometimes icon making can be really annoying, so it’s pretty irritating when people steal them. 

Afterwards, go reblog a few things relating to the fandom of that character to get things on the blog, and start following people that roleplay in that fandom.

When people start following you back, make greeters/starters for them. They can be short little one-liners, don’t feel pressured to make something 100% great. But before you do make the starters, read that person’s rules/guideline page, no matter how long, you don’t wanna miss something really important!

Cut your posts. It’s not hard to do, so please do it! It’s not fun scrolling down and seeing endless lines. Click the link to figure out how to do that~

Don’t stress about roleplaying, it’s not hard to get the gist of at all! As long as you’re nice to other rpers and try your hardest, you’ll be fine! Roleplaying is really fun, and you get really awesome friendships out of it. But please don’t ever put roleplaying before health/school. That’ll only make it stressful.

BURLESQUE AU

Muse A is a regular dancer who works in their town's Burlesque club. Muse B is a set designer who works alongside Muse A and the other dancers in the club. They mostly speak to each other and have mini conversations between shows and during rehearsals. Both Muse A and Muse B poke fun at each other while working in the club.

Muse A had the money they had kept at the club stolen and didn't have enough money to pay the rent at her apartment, and so they were evicted from their apartment due to the lack of rent money.

One night after a show, Muse B offers to let Muse A live with them, and Muse A takes the offer graciously. The two live together in the apartment in harmony for several months, but an owner of a rival Burlesque club offers Muse A a better paying job at their club.

OPTION A: Muse A refuses the offer and instead stays loyal to her club and friends, despite the smaller paycheck, and continues to live with Muse B until they can afford an apartment of their own.

OPTION B: Muse A takes the offer, staying for a couple more months with Muse B, though a rift was obviously forming between the muses, and Muse A eventually moves out and gets their own place, leaving Muse B and their old club job behind.

Popstar Duo AU: Muse A and B are two famous musicians and commonly known throughout the world. Deciding to do a couple of collaborations to have some fun. Both of their fanbases blow up and they decided to work together, forming their own duo band. Their music videos and songs always seems to leave their fans desperately craving more every time something new is released. Their growing popularity is always wonderful, but it is pressuring them as well. The fans are clawing at them to get into a relationship, but the two aren't sure what to do.

Option A: Muse A and B stay friends, ignoring the fans' demands for the two to get together, and still work together on the music they have been producing, hoping they won't lose fans because they aren't becoming an item. 

Option B: Both Muse A and B decide to give the fan base what they want, becoming a pretend item for quite some time, still producing their records with vigor. However, either one or both muses develop real feelings and become a legitimate item, working together as they did before.

Option C: Muse A decides that it's better for them to split, due to the demands they can't fulfill, and Muse B, despite disagreeing, disbands their group and they go back to their old lives before the band was formed. The two missed working on records together, but didn't want to receive the pressure to get together once more from the fans.

Go to this site to get your music.

On mp3skull, the website to get the songs from, you go to the search bar and type the song you want in. If you want a cover of a song, you should type the cover artist's name.

When you find the file you want to use, right click download, then go to 'copy link address'. 

Go back to your billy page and paste the link address in the slot you want it to be in. Don't forget to change the title!

You can repeat steps 2-5 up to four time, giving you five total songs for your bog. 

After you've changed all the songs and titles on your playlist, press 'generate code'. Copy that code.

Go to your blog, and press edit theme. I suggest placing it in your sidebar, as that's the easiest place to find and change your playlist.

what are some easy tips to start out with rp-ing?

Hello, dear anon! Vanille here. So, some simple tips to start out with!

Make sure that you’ve got a nice theme. It doesn’t have to be overly complex in a way like the way our theme is, though! Sometimes visual aesthetics do help attract some people.

Reblog or post some memes! Memes are great ways to make new partners, and they give you the opportunity to interact with people you haven’t before, and it’s a good way to develop RP relationships.

Grammar is also a really great plus. Punctuation, Diction, Capitalising, using commas/semicolons/all that stuff. It’s pleasant to see, but you don’t have to jump right into it. Just know the basics with punctuation and capitalising. Spelling is a plus too.

Self-promoing is a good way to get yourself out there. Post your promo maybe once a week and some people will pass it around and that’s a good way to get more people to interact with.

HAVE FUN! RP-ing is meant to be a fun environment, and it’s alright to take a break if RP-ing is becoming a chore, or if you’re losing muse for your character.

Be sure to cut posts! It's usually a turn off if you let a thread turn into a link, or let it run for a really long amount on the dashboard, so be sure to cut those.

THEME #01 - BLOSSOM  by DIANNASROLEPLAYS

So, here it is. After redoing my blog and remaking the structure that I’ve been going for, I’ve finally came back with a returning theme. I’m pretty excited for a fresh new start and hopefully some new and interesting looks. I don’t want to keep this going too long since I know it can be hard to read everything so I’ll be brief.  The title of theme is called “Blossom.” It is based of one of the characters from The Powerpuff Girls. I plan on making this a theme package. So, expect two more to come!

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS 

Like before, the same rules applied to my old themes.

You may not redistribute this theme as your own. Nor can you use my theme as a base code.

You cannot remove any of the credits that I have placed on this place. If you do, a simple drop to my ask about placing it someplace else is acceptable. 

Feel free to edit this theme to your liking though I’m hoping there won’t be too much editing at all. 

If you need any help, don’t hesitate to send me a message for that. 

CUSTOMIZATION INFORMATION

In this theme you will find a background picture in your options as well as color option for the backbar (bbar). 

Adding a “bbar” photo automatically covers any background such as the entries, sidebar, images, and such related things. There is no required dimensions for the “bbar” photos though I ask you do keep it a reasonably small size. 

The dimensions for “image” is 245 x 643

The dimensions for images “2 & 3” are 175 x 140

I don’t know how I’m proud of this theme more than I’m proud of my previous one, but so be it! This is my tenth theme called “True Love” based on Disney’s Frozen.

As if to reply ‘okay,’ the Cactuar spread out its limbs. The color disappeared from his vision. It was a vision of his Focus. For real, this time.

 Snow was there. So was Serah. The two of them were up against the jet-black Bahamut. Snow was throwing punches at it. Serah was shooting off magic. Snow stood on guard and took a hit from their enemy, while Serah watched Snow’s back.
