Prepare for battle.
KATIE MCGRATH as MORGANA PENDRAGON Merlin S05E01: Arthur’s Bane Part 1
"You know, you should really bring this vibe to the blood drives. I think people would find the lack of blinking really encouraging while you stick them with needles." Jules is, unfortunately, prone to bumping in to various medical personnel outside of medical settings: such is life when you're sickly. He just knows them all. Lilith's bedside manner has always been unusual, but at least she, you know... moves. Right now she's got this whole 'statue of antiquity that is beautiful but in an inhuman way' sort of a vibe that Jules can't decide if it's offputting or hot. Maybe both.
"Perhaps I will. Maybe I'll wear this mask, instead of the surgical one, too." Wearing a mask at work has always been necessary. Turns out people don't want you to draw their blood, if you've got a mouth full of sharp teeth that can rip flesh from bone in seconds. "I might even let you see what's under the mask one day, if you play your cards right. Seeing as you're my best patient and all, Tiny Tim." She sees Jules at work more than she's sees colleagues that she's worked with for almost a decade. What a sickly little dormouse he is.
also not known for a perfect imitation of humanity, ed is naturally drawn to other adjacent creatures. it helps, of course, that she's smoking hot, too. "hey," he says, after taking a seat beside her. "i like how long you can go without blinking. i could probably go longer, but... i can just choose to not have eyelids, so it's not as impressive."
"Thank you. It helps to blink once in a while, though, otherwise my eyes dry out. Hideous sight." Why would anyone choose to remove their eyelids? Lilith wonders. Maybe he's bluffing. She does get the impression he's confident and flirty. "Well, that's something I'd like to see. Colour me intrigued." She stares at him, still as a statue, waiting for the big reveal.
if she were to pinpoint a specific trigger , staring. odd as it may be considering her line of career , but it's the unwarranted kind , that'll really grind her gears. precisely like the one sunisa's on the receiving end of , right this very moment. her inability to control her face , mixed with the short fuse that's her temper , it's a recipe for disaster. " so if we haven't got an issue ━━ we're sure about to have one now. the staring and heavy breathing , is a sure fine way of getting punched in the mouth. "
Threats to her life are usually amusing to Lilith, but she finds herself unable to laugh at the fireball opposite her. She seems to be giving it all she's got, and she's not one to knock another woman's confidence... much. "Consider me terrified." She gets up from her seat quicker than the human eye can process, leaving her mug of hot water and lemon on the table. Suddenly, she appears behind the stranger. "Boo!" she grins, lifting the mask covering the bottom half of her face off to reveal a mouth full of sharp teeth, and two long, canine fangs. "Here's my mouth, let's see if you can punch it before I disappear."
Sometimes, Lilith falls into the habit of sitting perfectly still for too long; right now is one of those moments. It's easy to forget how eerie and off-putting it is to those around her. Not that she cares all that much, but it's nice to be nice, or whatever it is that influencers preach about on social media. She tilts her head, cracks her neck, and makes eye contact with the nearest person. Lilith doesn't say anything – that would be far too normal. Instead, she stares at them, and makes a point of breathing a bit too zealously as she crosses one leg over the other. Very human-like, if you ask her! Not at all intimidating and creepy.
