i've always wondered what human speech would look like visually in the POV of eridians in the same way eridian speech is written as music notes in the book and my favorite version of it i've seen in fics is when words are written as phonetics in rocky's POV :-) oh and also that one post about rocky and grace figuring out random words they can say in the other's language

I can draw a straight, unbroken line between how Yanessa treats her Aasimar children to how Sylandri treats her Elves

And no escape, no life outside her purview, no choice without her supervision. Wicander will marry who she chooses for him. Sylandri must oversee who gets to have children.

There's an interesting development happening here with Wic and the Aasimars. They exist in this limbo area where they weren't shaped by a Shaper's will. Aasimars seem like accidents that happen when the Shaper's toys/tools and the Shaper's children came (inside) together.

In this case, in this specific instance, Yanessa is the Shaper to all known Aasimar. Until other Aasimar are discovered, she occupies that space uncontested. And she acts as Sylandri did.

Yanessa literally played god to create a whole new batch of peoples to live alongside the orcs, elves, gnomes, halflings, dwarves, and humans.
